- 435i xdrive got vogtland lowering springs and staggered esr wheels for the aggressive, yet classy look combined with a BM3 stage 2 tune to compliment the wagner downpipe and csf intercooler, topped off with an AWE exhaust to finish it all off.
The quality of production is great, keep up the good work.
Love the quality and effort you put into your videos
Thank you!
Great video. Your channel is going to blow up.
Thanks, that would be nice. It's been a tremendous amount of work to get to this point.
I agree, this is high quality BMW content
Clean video bro 💪🏽
Thanks! My never-ending quest to make the perfect automotive film
Great vid man thanks!
Thank you!
Hey fellow f-32 owner here. Really interested in your wheel setup, just would like to know what your offset is for front and rear wheels. Liked the video keep up the good content.
I have a question for you about these Lowering. I have a 2015 328ix drive. What is your approach do you think you recommend these for my F30?
Luis
Great video! Do have a question on your lowering, did you add bump stops? And if so, which exact ones?
Thanks, and no I didn't add them. Had a couple hard hits but I'm pretty sure it never bottomed out.
Awesome video! I have a question!
So my 2014 435i xDrive has the EDC where the suspension gets noticeably stiffer in sport mode. Will these springs work with the EDC or will I have to code out the EDC. I just don’t want to loose that feature.
I believe Dinans springs work with the EDC, and Dinan also has bump stop kit that deals with the compression travel to prevent bottoming out.
Also do you bottom out with your setup?
Thanks Matt
Hey Matt, I do feel the suspension firm up when I put it in sport. Its to my knowledge that EDC controls the shocks only, the springs are, well, just springs. Most springs for this car come with a two stage system including these so its not exclusive to Dinan.
Not hate on dinan, they're a great company but (if I remember correctly) the reason I didn't go with dinan was their lowering height was uneven, it would have sank the rear end and I was afraid of it looking a little goofy with the front having substantially more wheel gap. Vogtland dropped it evenly and that why I went this these.
As far as bottoming out, its hard to tell in this car. A bad pothole can be really loud and jarring compared to other cars, but it felt just as bad as when I had a factory setup, so its a little hard to tell. I'd say I bottomed maybe once, twice at most, if ever.
Question is, would I do it all over again? Absolutely
Cheers bro
Am so sick of low pro tires. Everytime i hit a pothole in my 320i if feels like the wheel exploded. Can i drop to a 17 inch wheel and put 70 series or greater on that car?
My F36 xdrive has 285/30/19 in the rear staggered
I got a 2011 bmw 335xi what’s the biggest I can run ??
Hi , I looked to buy the same springs but the one I found from vogtland excludes x drive systems. Is that still the one you got?
Make sure you get the set that's clearly sold for xdrive. Rwd and xdrive have different ride heights and buying the wrong set could lower your car too much to the point where xdrive front components are now touching other components or their angle geometry is to steep from the original design and you'll quickly destroy very expensive parts.
I wanna upgrade my factory pirelli run flats to something with more sidewall for better comfort, since I keep bending my rim. Also do you know if getting bigger tires will affect my differential? I already have the factory 19” Wheel. So how does the 1% rule work for getting bigger tires with a bigger sidewall. My factory tire configuration is staggered.
He literally tells you in the video if you watch the whole thing.
Hi. Do you have M adaptive susoencion? . I have 435i xDrive and bought a week ago vogtland sport springs. But never heard would it effect in a bad way M adaptive suspencion or not
Yes I have the adaptive suspension. Which is why I didn't do coilovers. I let the shocks do their job but use the springs as a lowering mechanism. This setup is definitely more stiff, but it's rewarded with better handling and looks.
Hi there if you know im interesting where i can change transmission oil im from new york (Brooklyn) need for 435i xdrive 65k 2014
Very nice!!! No more VICLAS softail video be safe her from San Diego.
Haha, more bike films to come. Got some new mods I'm currently working on. Thanks for the support, cheers!
Love your videos! I know we have a 1% variance; However would 1.1% be to much? I just brought the OEM 356 wheels for my F32 AWD w/ 245 35 20 front & 275 30 20 rear. I just paid off the car so I can't risk damaging it in any way.
Thanks man, 1% is a factory recommendation, so I'm sure its on the conservative side of variance. Your transfer case will be doing the heavy lifting for variance, so my opinion would be to either change the transfer case oil a little more often, or personally I would recommend using xdelete software when you don't need the awd. Thats what I do
Thanks for clearing that up. I am running the same setup on my f36 as Sameer. My question is, what is the psi that should be used on the rear tires?
Personally I run about 35-37. But following the recommended psi imprinted on the tire never hurts.
what 1% are u talking about? diameter or circumference? from oem? or front to rear
1% difference in rolling circumstance of front and rear tires. Otherwise you'll burn out your transfer case.(only applies to xdrives). I should have explained that a little better in the film.
Offset?
I’m running 245 35 19 and 275 30 19 on my 435i xdrive should I be good with that
From a glance at those numbers it should be okay for the xdrive. But do the tire calculator to be sure. Pretty sure a 275/245 setup on a 435 is about the biggest you can go without rubbing issues depending on ride height or rolling fenders. Let me know how she does with that.
If you look it up and it turns out to be more than 1% and you don't want to run out and buy new tires than you can run xdelete. By running xdelete you no longer have to worry about the 1% AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT RWD.
Hows the spring setup still riding bud?
Always riding bro, and the spring setup is nasty!! Got something for you guys in a day or two.
I have size 20s and I can’t have passengers bc it rubs more so in the reír
I did 19 s and 255 and 285 on my e60 535
Hey man, I need a 2nd opinion can you do me a life time favor and check if this will fit my bmw xdrive 435i.
Front wheel: 19x8.5 +33mm
Tire 245/40R10
Rear wheel: 19x9.5 +35mm
Tire: 275/35R19
I have a 435d Xdrive. I am running Front: 235/35/R20 & Rear: 275/30/R20 . 0% difference front to rear.
so you ran xdelete all the time? seems like everyone who lowers their xdrive uses xdelete to not blow their front axles lol
All the time, except for snowstorms. And your front axles will still blow because they are still along for the ride.
@@JETFILMCHANNEL you ever blow your axles?
