One annoyance I have with ground vehicles- any hover bike is considered a spaceship to AI ground turrets. Wheeled vehicles are not, and won't be shot at.
They did speak of plans to make more AA features for bases/bunkers. If some had larger exclusion zones ground vehicles would be better. However the current AA turrets just delete all the hover ground vehicles due to them still classed as snub fighters with large signatures. (Example: lock on range for Ursa rover is like 150m, meanwhile dragonfly with shields off is 1.5km
I like your throttle limit idea from the ships. Really could do with navigation markers ie setting a location on the starmap, so it shows in the vechile hub.
I've not played for a long time. I'm honestly surprised a throttle control is not standard already. I would assume it's second nature to a ship control.
I use ground vehicles often in my mercenary activities. I use the throttle on my hotas to manage my speed very well. I can understand that ground speed is problematic for kbm users.
Nox is stealthier than Dragonfly. A friend and I were doing moderate threat beacons with them and the enemy was unable to target us long enough to actually shoot
Ground vehicles need better physics and I keep asking for missions that can't be reached by ship, we got a cool valley in 3.18 but no bunker or cave entrance within the narrow valley. Driving with the river through the valley would feel awesome
The whole game needs more purpose! They NEED to start adding the very basics that eve online had like 20 years ago, Space territory that you can conquer and hold, and rare space npcs that drop rare modules compared to what can be made ect... crafting ships and modules and player owned stations , shit people can siege with capitals ect... the game is getting there slowly, wish they would speed it up so im not 60 years old by the time they get some of these features
Everything in a ground vehicle should control like a ship. Throttle limiter, steer with mouse, etc. Why developers feel the need to treat these differently is beyond me. The current method is un-intuitive and only raises the barrier to entry - entry in this case being effective vehicle control. P.S. Love your content man. I think yours is the most even-handed SC content available. Keep it up man!
GTA has some of the best vehicle controls out there wtf are you saying? It's just not built for mouse and keyboard. Star citizen vehicles are the same just get an analog input problem solved. I always have an Xbox controller close by when I play SC for ground vehicles works like a charm.

Congrats on 10k milestone Minion

I just figured this out the other day too. W is go no speed limiter other than top speed. I'd like to control my rover's speed better than that.

Ride height: 3.16
I hope a throttle for land vehicles happen. It Is an easy win for CIG if they implemented this.

i have an account that only has a ground vehicle... no ships
Didn't they JUST update ground vehicle performance???
3.18.
Variable speed is all I want, I don't use GVs even ROCs even though I want to as they are to damn annoying.
