i don't like the looks of the characters in the new remakes. claire and jill both especially don't look like they should. there are some animated re movies with claire and that would have been the perfect look and visual style for the games imo. i'm in the minority who still thinks fixed cameras would have been much better for these remakes. the remake of re1 was perfectly done, i really wish they had done 2 and 3 the same way back then. this new style bores me, 2 playthroughs of re2r and i was so bored i never wanted to look at it again and had no desire to evrn play 3. if they had done them the same as re1 i would have played them a dozen times by now and still never got that bored with them.
Jill looks like a 14 yo girl in Threemake. It's distracting and takes me straight out the action. You would think she would be older and more seasoned after REmake.
The remake didn't do justice. Nemesis of the remake really feels like a clown rather than real threat of the original. Also story and location-wise, the original got it right even if the development was kinda rushed back then. Also, WHY DID THEY REMOVE THE CLOCK TOWER/PARK IN THE REMAKE?
It's insane that the community coined it "the Marvin room" cause that's what my sister and I called it when we played Re3 back when I was younger and I thought that's just what WE called it , the thought of so many people coming up with the same name for a specific room in the game yet never meeting each other. Huh.

Probably Carlos was a mercenary because he wanted the money and maybe he had a job that keeped him distracted. Beeing a mercenary doesn't mean that you are a "good" or "bad" person. Is like a soldier that goes to war. That soldier kills a lot to people to protect his/her family, friends and or country.
In that dialog, the meaning of "I'm just a mercenary" probably shows that he doesn't have anything to do with Umbrella beside this rescue mission. Not like Nikolai who sent combat report to Umbrella and sacrificed his teammates, Carlos is only a really tough guy who survived all this BS LOL

this is the hardest re for me to s rank. i finally beat it in under 2.5 hours with only one save but i guess i went a little over the limit on healing. the next playthrough i was trying to limit my healing and got swallowed whole by the giant worm boss while in yellow caution. just recently got the best rank in code veronica and it was pretty tough but this is way harder.
Sad how Capcom really shot themselves in the foot with the remake. It sold a damn sight less than most RE games in the series, why? Because they gave us half a game and didn’t stick to what made the original so terrifying. Was a cash grab and the sales reflected that.

I love the cable car scene. Jill bursts in, very concerned for Mikael, sees Nemmy and then says screw it, pops a quick 180 turn back out the train car. So much for all that concern she had. First time I got to that part though I think I used all six of those flame rounds and still didn't down Nemesis (can't remember if you can or not) so anytime I play it now I just nope out of that encounter.
this bring a lot of memory back thanks man 1 quick question... judging by this vid, there's a certain point which nemesis will not show up again until next encounter right ? like if we run far enough... 3-4 screen away from his spawn point, he'll never show up again until next encounter ? as a kid playing this game i always tot there's no run, no hide, he gonna follow me forever so i decide to knock him out every time he came up (which some time it turn out to be him knock me out instead lol)

9:08 I've always heard Brad say "The police aren't trained for this type of situation what could *they* do?" When did the dialogue change to "No-one is trained to handle this kind of situation what could anyone do?" I've experimented with shooting the zombie to help Brad and letting him do it on his own I also have the Japanese and the NTSC versions on PSX but I've never heard him say what he said in this run through. Any thoughts of what might have caused the slight change of dialogue, Carci? Is there a 1.0 and 1.1 version or something? Probably my 5th time watching this run. Really incredible. I’ve done no save. No way in hell can I do a no damage run on this game. These tips though are the best around. Though you did give me a heart attack with that dog. Even though I knew you made the run. If I would have saw this while you were doing it my heart would be hitting my chest.

dino crisis is a pretty tough game, hard to imagine you beating getting through it when you were 6.

9:08 I've always heard Brad say "The police aren't trained for this type of situation what could *they* do?" When did the dialogue change to "No-one is trained to handle this kind of situation what could anyone do?"
I've experimented with shooting the zombie to help Brad and letting him do it on his own I also have the Japanese and the NTSC versions on PSX but I've never heard him say what he said in this run through. Any thoughts of what might have caused the slight change of dialogue, Carci? Is there a 1.0 and 1.1 version or something?
Just out of curiosity you definitely know and are aware of lots of older pop culture references, I'm 35 and I'm thinking you're between 30 and 35 am I correct? Just curious. And as always, great run, brotha!

I wonder if REmake ever covers Mr.Xs backstory or at the very least a cutscene of him being deployed just like in the original Resident Evil 2.

Probably my 5th time watching this run. Really incredible. I’ve done no save. No way in hell can I do a no damage run on this game. These tips though are the best around. Though you did give me a heart attack with that dog. Even though I knew you made the run. If I would have saw this while you were doing it my heart would be hitting my chest.
