CarcinogenSDA I recall you said a hack to skip doors, was this locked doors that you could go through without having the key for or was it just for purposes as to make the door opening screen time shorter?
doorskip just means to eliminate the door opening animation, as you can see.
Yo carci, what's up, I know you're just as excited for RE2 as I am, if not more, I look forward to seeing your speed run, you helped me 100% RE1 remake, only game I ever aced, all achievements. I hope remake 2 has a real survival mode, invisible enemy mode doesn't seem like it would work.
It would be awesome to play this on Xbox & use the co-pilot feature with another speed runner , one picks Billy & the other Rebecca. You can only play as you’re character & also whoever is billy and or Rebecca can use the right thumb stick feature in the game. (At least be able to Move around do puzzles faster and set up shots in attack mode.) I actually would love to see this lol.

That was pretty much what you saw in RE2 with T-103. The original T-102 was never tested and deemed a failure after the incident in the Arklay Lab.

@@TheSoulHarvester Billy is not gonna get anything from killing Rebecca at the start of the story so it was more like a relationship to benefit each other (he also saves her from Mimicry Marcus of if he wanted to murder her why saving her from the BOW) besides he acts like a pretty nice guy during the whole game.
He saves her exactly once before they're chill lol.

I haven't played re0 but watched a lot of it, and still can't get it out of my mind how that "A-ok" Thumbs up rebecca does is cute
So Rebecca doesn't feel the need to ever mention to Chris that just 24 hours earlier she beat a Tyrant twice like she didn't think that her experience of fighting Tyrants would be of any use to Chris while he's on a helipad trying to fight a Tyrant

To be fair, she presumably hadn't eaten or slept in all that time. And after going through these trials, it's fairly likely her combat potential took a hit.
Which would explain why a single Hunter can kill her if Chris doesn't save her.

It's far from that bad. And seeing that it's not about blowing things up left and right, it's very much about managing your resources and items. Loss of that is what killed the series.
I might actually beat this game for the first time ever, all thanks to this video. Without it I'd never be able to beat this game. So thank you carci, your videos are a great learning experience for new and old players alike. Always something to be learned from them. Im already further in this game then I've ever been before thanks to you.

@@elliotgreen2279 i think they're both pretty good but 2 is better. i might like the raid mode in 1 a little more because it's a bit too easy in 2. you just get health restoration parts in all of your weaons and you're practically invincible. i got all the medals in every stage in 2, but 1 was a bit too tedius grinding for certain parts and i gave up on it.

Man, I went "awwww" when I heard that line, it was so effing sad. If I had laughed, it would've been to cope from the casual tragedy of it. He was one of her compatriots, her peers, and she chose her loyalty to her recent buddy Billy over him. SO SAAAAD, either path would've been tragic!
TBH, she could have ended up dead if she went with him since what happens to him in RE1 is pretty BS (for him, I mean).

Loan Shark Joe I only use controller for classic RE. I use alt controls, so it isn’t a big deal.

I will say this , I give you an extreme amount of Props for playing this game who knows how many times to get it all down to a system and select style of play to be able to do what you do and speed run it with no damage and to be able to remember what cutscenes you can skip or what scenes will play and how to activate them and where items are located and which you’ll need and where so with that said , how many times do you typically play a game to speed run it how you do ? Great stuff keep up the great Quality and information 💪🏻💪🏻 creeping to 100k brother you’ll be there soon!
I really love your play through of these old RE games, especially since it's very useful for not wanting to take any form of damage.
This is my favorite RE game. I don't care what anyone says. Rebecca is bae, and the dynamic between her and Cpt. Tribal Sleeve is just an interesting set-up.

Her character is not a bad one.. But I was always fascinated by Ada Wong's character more than any other character. RE0 was still a decent game though in my opinion. Not the best RE but a decent one. Heck of a lot better than some of the handheld RE games.

It's great stuff and I'm glad he played it so I don't have to. He got farther in 20 minutes than I did in six hours at which point I promptly uninstalled it. Loved the graphics but I found the gameplay torturous. I definitely appreciate Carci's tenacity.

Not really. I suggest you try with RE3. Nemie is such a pain in the ass.
i'm actually surprised he used the sub machine gun, seems like cheating to me. alt controls kinda too. i'm not sure what he's talking about when he says the tank controls in 0 are clunky, the feel perfect to me. remakes tank controls are probably the easiest to use, but in 0 they are as good as any other re game to me. i just can't bring myself to use alt controls in either game, or any ng+ bonuses aside from outfits in any re game, reduces the difficulty too much for it to be fun.
I've seen this before, but I forgot to comment: Absolutely Awesome! I had this on Gamecube way back and got an S rank on Hard a couple of times, as well; but I could never get a no damage run, really (I got hit a few times, and I don't think I'd ever be able to get through the game unscathed). That's what makes your videos so great!
I'd love for you to try the Fatal Frame Series' Nightmare Modes. I'd played the first four, not the fifth one. The controls are really clunky, but you might enjoy them. If you can play them, I'd love to watch your playthroughs, damage or no damage!

Carci..you're doing great on these games. I hate those leech zombies...you inspired me to try it on hard mode bc it's been awhile since I done the deal on normal mode. I heard it was extremely difficult on this game for hard mode
it is really hard on hard mode, but it's probably the most satisfying to complete. for me it's the only re game i still worry about possibly running out of ammo, but i like to kill just about everything. a couple of the leech zombies and all the spiders are the only things i avoid killing. every other re game gives you more than enough to kill everything.

haha nice dude, you killed it. A true RE master. Watching this video gave me flashbacks of the damn inventory system, what a nightmare. However, it's part of the game.
it's what makes it more replayable than most re games for me.
I swear people complain too much about it. But it has it's charm and actually helped out other RE games with knowing where the items were.
This guide has been a blessing for trying to clear hard mode. Esp for the early game, using knife for first boss saves so much ammo honestly

This game looks stunning in HD remaster and 120fps. Great run. One of the toughest and more complex games to complete in the series.
Complex and tedious are completely different things.
I actually enjoyed this game more because the answers to some of the puzzles aren't handed to you on a silver plate. The only mode I played was hard mode and liked the struggle of conserving ammo and certain enemies stun locking you to death. I actually took out the final boss with a knife because I ran out of ammo and didn't want to restart the entire game

Thanks to your walkthrough I have gotten out of a situation relatively unharmed. Always looked your walkthrough up when I got stuck bad or when my patience ran out. My respect for zero dmg thats insane to me! How much time have u invested to get such a perfect run ?

this was my entry to resident evil. First time I played this was on hard i didn't think much of it until i found out about tank controls and unique camera angles. This game was a pain to finish completed it in 6hr 10mins. my god that boss fight with the leeches
