Never thought twice growing up. Rock was music. Its a vibe. Im pushing 70 and realizing how great our music, society was back then.
HUMBLE PIE 30 days in the hole is a great one also.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into it! Share a link if you don't mind! Cheers!

Thank you! listening to it now! This one sounds familiar!
"Walk on Guilded Splinters" will blow your mind.
Try "Tin Soldier" by the Small Faces. Steve a few years earlier.
💯🔥🔥🔥
The UK has produced many great vocalists, Steve Marriott is my personal favourite. I love his first band The Small Faces - I recommend you listen to Tin Soldier or Afterglow. Moving on to Humble Pie - I don't need no doctor or Shaky Jake are a good start. Also there's a video of Say No More which is wonderful
Thanks for the suggestions!
Got to see Humble Pie in NYC 1971 when Peter Frampton was their lead guitarist and it was an unbelievably great show. Then a couple of years later saw Mr. Frampton at the Capital Theater in Passaic, NJ during his Frampton Comes Alive Tour. Some other songs to check out; 30 Days in the Hole/Hot 'n Nasty/I Don't Need No Doctor (live version)/Strange Days.
Yes, my husband told me that Rod Stewart took over after Steve left, what wonderful mix of Musicians!
Actually, in 1989 Nescafe coffee approached Steve about singing this song for their new dark roast coffee, Blend 37. It is fantastic, and even though Steve was now in his 40's, he sounds even better. I would add the link here, but have been told that YT will not let me - is that correct?
Anyway, so glad you have discovered Steve Marriott, my favorite rock hero. Humble Pie was not really a radio hits type of band, although "I Don't Need No Dr." might have been on FM radio.
Personally I love Steve best when He was in his previous band Small Faces. This was a perfect 60's band and Steve's voice was just stunning. Itchicoo Park was the only song that played on US radio stations, but would suggest "Tin Soldier" or "All or Nothing" to start. I think you will love them.
Thanks for the info! I showed it to my husband and told me that Rod Stewart took over on vocals after he left. He knew quite a bit about them, but that doesn't surprise me, he listened to this type of music more than I did, plus he is a (part-time for fun) musician himself...I was blown away by Steve's vocals! Cheers!
"30 days in the hole" by Humble Pie you may of heard in passing its one of their most famous songs definitely worth a reaction
Thanks for the suggestion, share a link?
You would know "30 days in the hole" and "Itchycoo Park"
Great band listen to I Don’t Need No Doctor
Peter Framptom was in the band
Yes, my husband told me! Also that Rod Stewart took over on vocals after Steve left..So much history I missed out on!
This song Always blows me away.
I can strongly recommend you listen to their dbl live album , Rockin The Fillmore. an iconic album from 70's. Peter Frampton is on this album. His voice is at its peak here as was the band.
great to see you reacting to my cuz Steve, he loved his blues but before Humble Pie he was the front man for the Small Faces. So you have loads of songs out there for you to check out
Feel free to share a few links, if possible! Thanks for the info. I showed it to my husband and told me bout Small Faces and that Rod Stewart took over on vocals after he left. He knew quite a bit about them, but that doesn't surprise me, he listened to this type of music more than I did, plus he is a (part-time for fun) musician himself...I was blown away by Steve's vocals! Cheers!
Stevie was on of the greatest rock/blues vocalists ever to come out of the UK. What a tragedy he left us so young and so tragically. God rest his dear soul. 🙋♂
Steve Marriot oftimes over looked now and died young, One of 2-3 top jazz rock, blues, guitarists vocalists ever to come out of U K. Anything by Humble Pie stands up to time. But you really want to knock your socks off try ' five long years' by Stece Marriot
Thanks for the info! Care to share a link? Cheers! By the way, my husband says the same thing about Humble Pie! I totally missed them when I was younger...
You can check out Stevie playing with Humble Pie in other wonderful tracks like Natural Born Woman, and Tin Soldier (with P.P.Arnold) I promise you, you'll be blown away. 🙋♂
Natural born boogie!
@@michaelfoster5577 Yep. My bad (although Stevie does sing 'Natural born woman' in the song). It's an absolute 'banger' and one of their greatest!
As a child, he starred in "Oliver" in the UK, as The Artful Dodger. Band was incredible, but they got screwed over by their manager, who sold their contract to the mob.
Itchycoo Park!
Brilliant. Please react to "The masterplan" by Oasis. It's a fantastic song that unbelievably was only a B side.
Hi Lucas! Thanks for the suggestion. Care to share a link?

Thanks, Lucas! This one was actually blocked. Sorry!
I prefer brunettes, but you're my type of blonde.
Lol. I'm far from Blonde. I think you are seeing the Gray! Hehehe...
More great reactions on my main channel, "The Speak Easy Lounge"! Hope you'll check them out! Here's a link, Cheers! ua-cam.com/users/TheSpeakEasyLounge
Did you recognize Peter Frampton on guitar?
Nope- totally missed that! Thanks for the info though! Cool!
I didn't, but that would be because the guitarist isn't Peter Frampton.
@@lameduck3630 Exactly! Peter went solo not long after Humble Pie took off.
The guitarist is Clem Clempson, late of Colosseum, he replaced Peter Frampton.
