@@tcmun2 Hi and thanks for asking! I think this is a great light! I watched a few vids but decided to go with this one as it was a little less expensive Brand, and I figured it would get the job done and it does. The one I purchased is 18” and has the manual dials on the back to adjust the lighting. They are not digital settings, and it works just fine for me. As to the reference to the short cord, that is no problem as I plug it into a power strip so I’m not ever fighting with it. I leave it up all the time, and it is very easy and light to move and position. Small house, but there are many times that I move it so I can use the top of my chest freezer as the “table”. LOL. I think it gives off very good light and it is easy to adjust with the dials on the back. Of course, if you are taking a pic of a shiny object or glass, you will get a reflection of the “ring” onto the object. Just depends. I have taken pictures standing behind the light and through the “ring” and also from off to the side. It does also have height adjustments. The bottom is like a tripod with the three legs. It could probably be a little more substantial down there, but it is holding up nicely. It did come with the travel bag, which I will never use. I am far from a professional and just using my Motorola phone, but for the price, I’m really happy with it! I wanted good “light” as two gooseneck lamps (even with better bulbs) were no longer the best way to go. LOL As a point of reference, the one I purchased from Amazon is listed this evening for $90.99. I hope this helps! 😊

Why does it show battery is half full if there was no battery

I think you get a lot for $100
