Does the perfect football boot actually exist? Well, depending on who you ask, it does. Everyone has their own idea of what perfection looks like, so what I think is perfect, you might think is terrible, that's the fun of so much variety in football boots. But if we're focusing on my own personal preferences and what I have always wanted in a pair of boots, I may have just discovered the perfect ones!

Im 43 and growing up my favourite boot was the puma king with a white moulded sole, they cost £80 in 1994, maradona wore them and my favourite player at the time, the nottingham forest and england left back, stuart pearce also wore them.
These look really good but they are way out of my budget right now. Would really love to see a video on all of the Mizuno first and second takedown models,would you consider them as top picks in their price range? thanks.

@@jonasdbtr Yeah I think I do remember him reviewing one of the first takedowns, I'm more interested in the second takedowns though. I don't think he's done a video looking at all of the takedown models yet which is kind of surprising considering how much praise Mizuno gets. Hopefully we get a video like that soon.

Well yeah as it combines the soleplate of Neo III Beta MiJ. So it is lighter and still fully leather at the same time. But I would want both of them boots as well, trying to find some Morelia II MiJ's in Europe is hard AF!

Edit 3/25/2022: Of course theoretically I dreamt about morelia 2 upper with neo plate and I did get it when it came out. But I just got too many boots to wear so I only started wearing DNA this year. Oh my, like I said, this is perfection. This is probably their third pair of mizuno that I considered perfect after Morelia 2 M8, and Wave cup. I have worn most of Mizuno that came out these years so I guess I know what I am talking about. They didn't have a lot of models anyway.
Hi! Do you have any opinion of the DNA sole plate vs just the regular Morelia II? Seems like I could get the Elite Morelia II for quite a reasonable price.. thanks!
@@winestine I feel like both of them are similar, and light. DNA/Neo’s plate is a bit more aggressive, whereas Morelia’s plate is more balanced and a bit closer to the ground imo.
Honestly I am to wear Morelia in both plates.
I have the Morelia Neo III non beta version (MIP). I’ve heard and watched other Morelia Neo III beta reviews and a lot of people had bad heel blister issues.

It's still very cool that Mizunos are underrated. When you use a pair, you will understand.
I have been using Pure Grip socks and sleeve, the best thing about that combo
is it locks my shin pads in place. They never shift and you don't need extra taping. I am
a keeper and even after I dove, the shin pads stay in their place, no need to adjust and
fiddle afterwards. Also I suggest buying the land classic sleeve, I find the regular ones
a bit too short. Highly recommended

Today I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pair of Mizuno boots. I decided on this model as I couldn’t decide between the Morelia 2 and the Morelia neo 3 beta. Can’t wait until they arrive, after watching this review I went true to size and I’m hoping that was the right decision 🤞

The main issue I have with the Morelia neo 3 beta is the inconsistency in touch, the midfoot area is covered with a thin synthetic leather backed by a hard knit material, which is really slippery and hard while the forefoot is super soft k leather, this just makes the touch feel very different throughout the whole boot. Personally, I like the neo 3 better which has a more traditional design and the midfoot (Although it is not K Leather) is more consistent with the forefoot than the betas. Unfortunately, we don't get that many colorways for just the neo 3 outside the Asian Market

Just bought my first ever Mizunos. Rebula Cup Elite. Anyone tried these? They feel amazing! Can’t imagine how good the Japanese ones must be.

Mizunos do great boots - comfortable, good fit, sole plate etc but I find it hard to shoot in them. The toe is too big and find it hard to hit the ball in the sweet spot with them.
same feel. I have the neo II and rebula II & III. The rebula iii has an very large toe and bend upward which makes the boot more hard to shoot than other boots.

I wish Mizunos were more popular, although part of the appeal is that they are kind of niche, it's funny to see people surprised at the quality of Mizunos and how the trash their colorful speed boots from Nike or Adidas, which is basically all the brands they know well maybe Puma.

Josh I wear my morelia 2s on AG all the time with no issue, do you think this more aggressive stud pattern would be a problem?
Not necessarily, but I don't think these are as well suited for use on AG as the regular Morelia 2 is.
Question that I would love help with. I wear a US9.5 in the Morelia II and a US9 in the Morelia 3 beta. What would size would you suggest I order for the Morelia DNA? Thank you!

You’d choose these over the Morelia Wave or the Neo II Beta (Silver/gold)? For me those ‘look’ more nimble whilst still bring plush but haven’t had the dna in hand
I actually think the Wave Cup would be a better comparison to these. Morelia Wave is great, but has a bulkier overall feel to it, and the Neo 2 Beta is just so thin and light compared to these. All great, but different.

From what I heard neo 3 beta are tighter than morelias if that even helps
the Neo 3 Betas is tighter especially in the midfoot, soo the DNAs (II +III) is more comfortable in the midfoot area. so its your preference
I don’t know for anyone but the phantom venom gt elite high cut feels great for me (especially on tough weather/ rainy weather)

What boots would you recommend for someone with narrow feet. I’m really interested in leather boots but I’ve always gone for the mercurial vapors or super fly and the tiempo. Believe it or not they still fit me a bit wide and I see the material bends awkwardly outwards with those Nike boots. I just want a nice tight fit . For reference I’m 6 feet tall and 140 pounds and I prefer lightweight boots because they help make me feel lighter. It’s psychological I know but still.
Morelia Neo III Beta Elite are very tight , same with Puma King Platnum. They start suffocatingly tight but after a few games they become snug

Adidas Copa or Nike Tiempo are a cheaper alternative. Additionally, Joma and Diadora make some similar feeling cleats.

I own morelia 2s and like them but it has its flaws. The studplate is a bit narrow compared to the volume of the upper if that makes sense, which doesn’t feel as stable as other brands (feels as though the boots won’t protect from rolling my ankle)
@@tototutu96 that's actually a fair shout, Ive not had ankle problems really, but if I was to advise someone against the Morelia II it would be for that reason. If you don't have stable ankles these probably aren't for you, the Morelia neo wraps the ankle a bit so maybe them?
