I was there. I watched it happen. John sure knew how to promote that car. It was a little sluggish with the price until he got up and talked it up. We watched it in amazement go up to $230,000. What a treat to actually sing the theme song WITH Bo Duke! Prior to that, we had no idea he was even there. What a surprise! What an experience!
As a child 👧 n Murray Kentucky in 1990 there were 4 general lees on a car lot selling for $2000 each I was 13 went over to the dealership (while my mom was in the piggly wiggly) talked to the owner told him I had $300 in the bank could we make a deal , he told me he would talk to my dad , but we were poor and I had 2 jobs and school, I missed the chance but just touching ing that car changed me forever. One day I hope to have another chance at a General Lee
3:46 a buddy of mine has a 69 Charger and his brother decided to jump in the car that way..The bullet-style door lock was up and he ripped the back of his shorts straight down the middle.
hummm i have been lookin at other Car auctions ta see what other Replica ,Moive or TV Geneal Lees are goin for ! but as of yet this is the only one i have seen . hummm i wonder what the Replica ,Moive or TV Geneal Lees are goin for in auctions ?
Aaron Carroll John Schneider's (Bo Duke's) Dodge Charger is being Auctioned off ... This isn't just any old General Lee lookalike however, included in the sale of the vehicle is a book featuring the original cast members of the Dukes of Hazzard ... this very Charger sold back in 2008 for $230,000, ... !
@@vurtane lol Nope ! John did actually sell his General Lee !! because of the Devorce ! and he needed the money ! also the other bits of the Cash went into John Schneider Studios or so i herd .
I lost respect for schnieder. Not that I had that much in the first place. The guy is an ACTOR!! And people who are 'amazed' at something this sleazy have some screwed up priorities.

Iconic piece of Dukes of Hazzard history
Imagine buying the orange show car that one of the actual actor that drove the car stood on omg that'd be awesome
How could this be the real General Lee if they destroyed 15 per episode?...

I feel the same way. Chargers used to be an easy find back in the 80s. Now a decent 68, or 69 is over 60k.
That is awesome. I love the Dukes of Hazzard.
Me two bud
I miss the Speed channel
My favorite car love have it

I'm basically same size as John just younger and it takes practice. At the end of the day u have a sore hip (butt cheek) LoL
I know your Bo Duke but get off The General Lee, that car is an icon, one of the most beloved cars ever
It hurt me to see him standing on it.
Yeah, but after all, it is his car before they sold it, but I know it might damage it.
The Dukes of Hazzard was just original
why is he standing on the roof?!?
oh, those dents? they're John Schneider dents.
This happened in 2005.
Poor John Schneider they were hurrying up trying to get rid him
Cause they want 1/= of the price for what it sells for that mean looking car
@@meanf1502 You got that right ain't no 69 chevy anything bring that kinda MONEY. Mopars always best.
Sorry John, but there is a song for the Cobra. "Hey Little Cobra" by the Rip Chords.

How does standing on it not damage the car?
Politically correct stupidity. What happened to the confederate flag?
Have you seen your eye dr.?

Why you are The Dukes boy. Why john sell it
Dude, get off the roof would ya....geeeez
Y’all must be stupid
LOL I sang along on the song and imagine they stole it and the crowd got killed lol
Never worth that
Not even the real general Lee as they went through literally dozens during filming . I'd pay max 2k
