I got half way thru the same build but the fast 5 charger and got sick, lost income and never finished...Now disabled due to the illness and covid i'll never finish. i'm glad to see someone actually made one with a real working blower. Just beautiful. Y'all are awesome!!!
That's awful you're been stopped from building your Charger. But we are thankful you're appreciative of our build.
Its been a tough pill to swallow for sure. I've always had race cars and now just a dream... Cant wait to see the rest@@JustDriven

"So much torque the chassis twisted coming off the line"
i guess it did twist
Everyone assumed it was just a throw-a-way line. Guess it wasn't!
I’ve been following along since the Supra. Such great content. I can’t wait to see them both finished, side by side!!!
We are still debating the which one would win in a drag race. It's going to be awesome seeing them side-by-side all finished.
@@JustDriven my money is on the charger based on the teaser dyno run! Either way, it’s going to be amazing. Keep up the awesome work!
See? The debate continues!
So sweet. Some people don’t understand how much goes into these builds. I’m putting a 540 Aluminum block from Indy racing w 871 blower on my 70 Charger. @x_american_made_x
@@adamglasby8176 Out of curiosity how long is the blower snout on your 440. I like the look of the closed face pulley.
This was sooo damn satisfying to watch! Thanks guys for sharing this great project with the rest of us.
Thank you for the support!
Outstanding job, so many memories, just love it👍many thanks 👊
Thank you so much for watching!
I love how instead of arguing at each other everyone argues with each other. It’s like butting heads together to fix instead of butting heads to be right. Great team work!
Thank you! We respect each other. That plays a huge part.
amazing car, video, work, everything, cheers from Mexico, i love how you take time to answer everyone, that talks a lot of you
Thank you for your support. We do our best to share our passion with the community.
I've been following this build along with the Supra. Some truly amazing things y'all have done with both of these builds! Looking forward to the dyno video.
Thank you Mark! We hope to have the video up soon. Just trying to race to get Adrian's side of the shop to the new location, so lots going on and not enough time to film!
@@JustDriven take all the time y’all need 👍
Finally, an true faithful recreation of the legendary Charger.
So many get it wrong with the wrong wheels, supercharger, window tint, ride height etc. This ticks all the boxes. Every detail is spot on.
Your attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Truly remarkable work!
Almost, it didn't make enough torque to twist the chasis
Thank you so much for the support! We took some liberties with the interior but tried to remain faithful to the characters.
@bodybong - it made 942 lbs of torque and definitely twisted the chassis. You should check out our dyno video.

This was so cool to watch, I hope one day I get to put time and work into a classic car like this. Literally one of my dream cars
Awesome! Thank you so much for the support.
Great build guys, hopefully we see a similar quality build on the Eclipse! lets not forget that car was also a major part of the film!
The budget for the Eclipse, unfortunately, is not quite the same as the Supra and Charger. The Eclipse is being built for a charity who supports Veterans.
A work of art in the making 🎉
Thank you for saying so!

It gave me chills!
As bad ass as the Supra.

Thank you so much!
This is awesome. I really appreciate you guys showing the good with the not so good. This is the reality of working on these machines but with determination you guys built an awesome machine! 👍 ❤
Thank you so much! It's not always smooth business. Social media has everyone thinking everything is perfection.
@@JustDriven absolutely and if one hasn't done a build before and have only seen the finished product, they can not truly appreciate what goes into this. Putting an engine in, then finding out it needs to come out or be completely replaced is a bit crushing. Social media isn't always real life, in fact it's becoming more rare to see real life. Everyone just wants to see the good but sharing the bad is one of the best things you can do! It is very helpful actually.
You are 100% correct. In our dyno video we discovered a truly alarming missing piece to our puzzle. We took what was said in that video to heart and disassembled the blower again to add the recommended part. We learned something new that day. Now the build is better for it!
If you have some time go check out the dyno day video of the Toretto Charger on our channel. Let us know what you think.
I am so jealous. This blows my mind you guys rock.
Thank you so much!
I've been following this build along with the supra. And i love that charger he screams like a monster
This Charger is a BEAST.
Oh guy's thanks for this awesome video ❤!
Thank you for watching and for your support.
Yo this s*** is amazing it's the best recreation I've seen yet and I've seen over 14
Thank you so much!
If you guys start narrating the parts we're reading, you'll almost certainly see positive spikes in your channel performance. These are amazing builds and all that time spent wrenching leaves less time for edits, but if there's a min or two here and there, I think it'd be worth it. Thanks for the awesome content.
We appreciate the tip. We don't always have the time to add dialog or narration to the build videos. We are working on finding new avenues to getting the content out faster, but we are still playing catchup with our new shop.
Thank you I am saving this as as i've always wanted to do something similar, but I am curious as a beginner where do you start gaining experience in restorations, specifically rust repair and body work?
For Joe (our body guy) it started learning from others. Then he apprenticed with an experienced body guy and learned all he could before meeting Daryl. He was trusted with so many wonderful jobs and experience and just kept growing. So we would suggest watch and learn on UA-cam and seek out schooling or a bodyshop looking for an apprentice.
@@JustDrivenIF I HAD THIS CAR I WOULD DEFINITELY RESTORE IT.
Oddly enough, it's worth more like this than it is restored. Sad. But true.

I'm heartbroken.. I'll never own one!!! Kudos to you all, amazing build.
The Charger and the Supra are becoming very hard to find. Even the example we found was not in very great condition.
Props for this guy for building this in just 36 mins
It took years of practice but we finally got it under 40 mins.
Minus we’ll do Dons Rx7 next lol AWESOME builds/videos fellas😎🤙
We love that RX7. It would be a fun build.
An American Icon for muscle cars turn into a fast and furious icon at the same time? Wow, nice job. I’m sure that took time and dedication to complete that
Thank you so much!
you guys should do tutorials for the interior too ive been looking to learn how to do that for a while
In early videos we have some more in-depth talk with Richard at BSide Fabrication the man behind the craft. Not on any tutorial level but maybe a little more insight.
Imagine both vin diesel and paul walker came to your garage and admired these two masterpieces, you guys. Just Driven, you all made my day a whole lot better.
Heck yah! Thank you so much!
"We identified some rust" LMAO, anyway, thumbs up! Great job!
Yah. We did. It was right there. And there. And there too. 🤣 Thanks for the support!
Awesome build and fantastic work! Nice job! What ac pump is that? I'd like to do a similar setup
Thank you so much! We found this AC pump on eBay. It is a non name brand pump. We've used them on several builds and all still blowin' cold.
Could not help the goosebumps watching this video. 🎉
Awesome! Mission accomplished.
The Car looks amazing well done all of you 🎉
Thank you so much!
Will this survive driving down a dam?
How fast we talkin'?
😂😂😂😂
What a beautiful job you done. ❤
Thank you! 😊
What suspension kit are you guys running? I’m assuming the rear end is built but will you have to do any further tweaks to the suspension if the torque twists the chassis?
The rear is Calvert Racing Caltracs traction bars and leaf springs with CR Series adjustable rear shocks and CF series front shocks.
What I wouldn’t give for the charger, the first one has always been my favorite of the franchise ❤❤
Is that my dually in the dyno shop???😂
The first one holds a special place in many people's hearts. It obviously affected us as well. We wanted to highlight the cars that started it all for many people. We just wanted to add our special sauce and correct some of the "flaws"
What a work of art!
Thank you so much!
THAT LOOKS SICK AS BRO AMAZING 👏 👌
Thank you!
A 36 minute video doesn't do this build justice. That charger is amazing because black is the most unforgiving color. And moving the engine and driveline 1.5 inches may not seem like a big deal but that couldn't have been easy. I am finally caught up on most of your content. Can't wait to see the Kenmari finished as well. The supra with Craig is top notch. He was right the wheel fitment definitely needed fixed lol. Keep the great content coming.
Wow! Thank you so much for your support. We appreciate you appreciating us. You are not wrong about the black color and the driveline movement, but that's all part of doing what we do: the Pursuit of Perfection.
Guys, this should be x-rated!! What a phenomenal build! I was 13yo when F&F came out and to me this build is as good as it gets and like the pinnacle of manliness. I'll probably not be able to afford this car in my lifetime, so im glad to live the dream through your eyes. Again; amazing build and what a talented team... you just got an extra subscriber! The intro almost brought me to tears, again
It's a powerful scene.
"cars like these are eternal..you take care of them..they ll run forever."
That's the exact definition of eternal actually.
what brand of gearbox, or rather the lever from it. And I wonder how many gears it has and how it shifts.?❤
A built 3 speed 727 torqueflite plus a gear vendor overdrive with a Hurst shifter.
Amazing job, the amount of time and effort put into this build is mind numbing! One thing that caught my eye: in 18:28 you can see the spark plug wires go to the back of the engine, but in your build the distributor is in the front. Googling didn't give me a solid answer, seems they all have the front distributor. Was it movie magic / prop maybe?
The distributor is in the back of the engine on this aluminum block 572.
one of the meanest looking cars. that sound is straight from hell
But the good kind of hell right? With the pretty girls and the bada** cars?
What's the song from 0:35 ? Also, amazing job, guys. You nailed it ❤

Vin Diesel: Wow this is wild!
Thanks Vin!
I was just watching Jared Pink firing up his new-built Chevy 454, "Earl" drift car for the first time. He ran into a similar issue. Coolant getting into the oil. Even though he used the correct sealant on them, he had coolant leaks from his head studs. Apparently that Chevy block design has the studs passing through coolant passages and is a known problem point. This made me wonder if MOPAR big blocks share this design flaw?
This Hemi issue was found to have an issue with the shop who built the engine accidentally used an incorrect head gasket. We have an aluminum block and the gasket for a steel block was used. Sounds silly but it was enough to cause all the drama. Thankfully, our team caught it and sent it back to have the engine town down and checked over and built back up with the correct head gasket.
Wow, that looks amazing. It's my dream to have a car like that. And pretend like we're still living in the 80s. Now, what was the problem with the engine??
Why the 80s? The engine builder accidentally installed head gaskets for a steel block and not the aluminum one we are running. Once we figured it out we contacted them and they asked for the engine back to remedy the issue. We took the down time to correct some little issues we had with the body and when we got the engine back we hooked everything back up and burned up the dyno!
@JustDriven Because I just love the 80s. And in that time, these cars were very cheap.
And i bet that was a Difficult problem to find.
They are not easy to find and parts are just difficult if not impossible.

My little cousin he loves Fast and Furious, he says wishing you lot all the luck. He is so excited for the Charger and the Supra to be completed. My cousin does prefer American Muscle over JDM, but he loves all cars, same with me. I do actually own a Charger, but I've got the '69 variant. I never watched Fast and Furious number one, but I have watched 2Fast2Furious and onwards. I was thinking of making my '69 Charger the Dukes of Hazzard, but atm I do not have the money 🤣.
Anyways, wish you guys the best of luck from me and my little cousin.
Thank you so much for your support! Both of you. We built a Duke's of Hazard Charger years ago. Money is important when building cars. It is an expensive hobby/passion. Good luck with your Charger and thank you for the view!
What engine are they using is it a 572 hemi ?
It is a 572.
Who needs physics when you have family?
Exactly.
Hey. What was the engine problem? I'm frustrated 😊😅
The shop that put our engine together accidentally put the head gaskets for a steel block not the aluminum block we have. It took us a few days to pinpoint the issue after going over the spec sheet and cross referencing it with our receipts from their shop. We talk about it in one of our full update videos on the engine.
TY for the info, appreciate it @@JustDriven

No disrespect to anybody but I am genuinely curious. How is there issues already with a brand new engine? Or was that engine rebuilt with brand new parts? One of the guys said it had water or leaking water even tho nothing was put in the engine yet but oil i think? Just eager to learn how and why in greater detail.
The engine builder accidentally installed head gaskets for a steel engine block and not the aluminum block we had. It created the issues we were experiencing. We removed the engine and sent it back to the builder for them to check everything over and install the new head gaskets. This time we asked them to run the engine and check everything over before we install it.

@@JustDriven We have a lot of fans of the first parts of Fast and Furious in Russia, and some also tried to recreate cars from films, there were cool projects Supra mk4, Eclipse, Skyline GTR R34, but nobody brought Charger 70s :)
@@JustDriven These engines of muscle-cars resemble the gasoline engines of the Soviet ZiL-130 & 131 trucks
Are vehicles like the Charger harder to find in Russia? And we really like the Soviet ZiL-130s that are converted to low-rider trucks. So cool!
@@JustDriven Yes, you need to look for them in the States themselves, and it seems to me that recently even you have found it difficult to find a copy of this car in a fairly satisfactory technical condition. + In recent years, we simply do not bring cars that are older than a certain year of production and do not meet the environmental standards that exist at present. But no electric car will deliver as much fun - as a car with a powerful V8 or V12 😎
