Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the General did not have black interior. I seem to remember John Schneider saying on his UA-cam channel that is a common mistake people make when doing a General Lee. Still cool though and a steal for all 4 of those.
Yup, and Uncle Jesse's Pick "m'" Up truck. (Personally, I'd like the "even faster" Chickasaw Police Cruiser, driven by the mind killer in "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" Don Pedro Colley)
If anyone is interested in the show and details on the General Lee John Schneider has a youtube channel and has done a bunch of good videos on the cars, he was there and knows his stuff
I was watching the Barrett Jackson car auction a few years ago and I email Barrett Jackson..I told them I was a Internet bidder and I couldn't be there in person to see underneath the cars.I suggested they put a camera on stage so everyone on TV can see under the cars..The next year they had the chassis cam..I couldn't believed they used my Idea...I was hoping they send me a T Shirt or something but I got nothing..That's ok..I'm happy they put my idea to work..My dream is to go there in person one day..Thomas Cleveland Ohio.
Tom wopat sounded like he was reading 5 different cue cards from 5 different people. "The car screams man!" [Its 4 cars, not 1]. "Give it up!" "Alright!" "Yee haw to y'all" "yee haaaaw" . So weird
Yes they were i just dont think they used the 68 chargers cause 69 and 70 chargers are the same except for the grill and they just changed that out. I watched a documentary somewhere about it and john schnieder said that.
I am so sick of the damned General Lee. Between so many nice Chargers being destroyed and the number of them that were converted, a nice stock Charger is a rare animal.
@@cbsundance I still stand on the fact that far too many nice Chargers were either destroyed or are wearing orange Halloween costumes because of that show. A nice stock Charger (or close to it) is rare and horribly expensive. Wouldn’t it be a kick to to have a video of a General Lee being converted back to original? I’d definitely be interested.
60k? I’ve seen chargers alone go for that much. Whoever bought those stole them for sure.
60k steal just for the charger.. you;re right.. some stole all these cars.. sell the other 3 and get ur money back..
@Charlie B that depends the package it is not every charger is worth the same 😁
60k for a charger is a steal. It's not a crappy mustang or a junky Camaro, it a CHARGER
Driven by Tom Wopat? I know there are other Chargers made up, but that should double the price!
They stole them!! Who ever was selling them should of put reserve... They should of went for over 100k easy!
Thanks Motor Trend for sharing with us that was really cool
Cant believe how cheap they want for. They are replicas of course but the Charger alone.
Bob's Prop Shop in Dallas TX. built all these car's I do believe. Bob runs one of the most top notch custom build shop in the country.
What’s a deal for 4 cars ! Wow
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the General did not have black interior. I seem to remember John Schneider saying on his UA-cam channel that is a common mistake people make when doing a General Lee. Still cool though and a steal for all 4 of those.
tan
They tried really hard in making sure the camera was low enough where you couldn’t see the confederate flag.
I would have filmed it!
@@bobsilver3983 YOUR RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went back and looked
Also they avoided the girl in Daisy Dukes
@Joe Casson Let a man judge for himself is what I always say
@Joe Casson go spell "douchebag" right
I love dukes of Hazzard
Dream Collection right here!
I cant believe he called Boss Hogg Cadillac a Chevy
lol..He only had GM on his mind
True
Where is Daisy's Jeep 😜
Jose A the Jeep was probably to expensive
The Jeep is in a Nashville museum.
That's what I was thinking more important than the Cadillac.
Thats why it only brought 60k. It was missing from the collection. He could of got 75k with Jeep.
Yup, and Uncle Jesse's Pick "m'" Up truck. (Personally, I'd like the "even faster" Chickasaw Police Cruiser, driven by the mind killer in "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" Don Pedro Colley)
Ahh yes, Boss Hog’s one and only Chevy Eldorado. 🙄
Brilliant announcer, the el dorado was an awesome Chevy.
@@commonyetrare the coupe deville was my favorite dodge
It should have brought $200k alone at Barrett-Jackson, since it's a "one of none."
Mike Joy making that kind of mistake is quite shocking
Hahaha not to mention, Boss Hogg never had an Eldorado on the show. He was driven in a 1970 Coupe Deville.
Buying a charger and getting 3 other cars free is what happened there!
If anyone is interested in the show and details on the General Lee John Schneider has a youtube channel and has done a bunch of good videos on the cars, he was there and knows his stuff
I have watched some of those and it is great to get the inside details, loved the show as a kid!
But are the doors welded shut on the general?
I was watching the Barrett Jackson car auction a few years ago and I email Barrett Jackson..I told them I was a Internet bidder and I couldn't be there in person to see underneath the cars.I suggested they put a camera on stage so everyone on TV can see under the cars..The next year they had the chassis cam..I couldn't believed they used my Idea...I was hoping they send me a T Shirt or something but I got nothing..That's ok..I'm happy they put my idea to work..My dream is to go there in person one day..Thomas Cleveland Ohio.
Chevy Eldorado dang ive never seen one of those but ive seen the cadillac eldorado and how did they not sell the jeep with it
"Daisy Dukes with big bumper guards in the front."
I thought the bid was just for the Charger alone until after they hammered it down.
Would've loved to have that charger
The General Lee is my dream car.
Gotta redo the interior though to saddle tan
60K for all 4 vehicles. That’s a steal! But that’s not the Caddy that Boss Hogg drove. He drove a 69 or 70 Coupe De Ville convertible
Wow nice job!😁
Boss rode in a Cadillac deVille in the series, not a Chevy Eldorado.
I wonder if they included a towel to the seller to dry off after that bath
All 4 ?????
I love your video of cars
Now, race them through your hometown!
The Eldorado is wrong Boss Hoggs car was a 1970 Coupe Deville convertible.
They should of went for over 100k easy!
Tom wopat sounded like he was reading 5 different cue cards from 5 different people. "The car screams man!" [Its 4 cars, not 1]. "Give it up!"

@@alanmyers5081 Too much of the Duke family recipe 'shine!
I feel bad for him, he had an arrest a year and a half ago and is probably cancelled from Hollywood because it involved me too allegations
Is that all?????
What a steal. The saying goes that a car or cars are worth whatever someone will pay for them, on a given day.
I think Tom had a few adult beverages
Barrett Jackson Vegas had a dukes charger and police car sell as a pair and they went for $100k I believe.... a steal here for 4 cars...
I love your videos of car
The 1970 chargers were never used in dukes of hazzard
Yes they were i just dont think they used the 68 chargers cause 69 and 70 chargers are the same except for the grill and they just changed that out. I watched a documentary somewhere about it and john schnieder said that.
I have never seen so many commercials... the auction is basically unwatchable on cable TV
2:40
They never used 1970 chargers because of the chrome trim was too hard to make look like a part of the hood and not a piece of trim
Yep. John Schneider has a UA-cam channel and he stated this very thing a month or two ago on it. They never used a 70’ Charger.
@@sledgehammerk35 I think I saw that recently.
Like to see more of that redhead. rrrrr...
I'm betting that was well under what the builder had in mind. Wouldn't want a seat in that truck on the way home...
What a great deal on 4 cars
Im i right..60k for all 4.?..Somebody stole them..Just the general was worth 60k.The seller wasnt very bright selling them together.
Motor trend! I cant watch 2020 barrett Jackson on my Motortrend app!
That's the only reason I signed up in early January! Where's My Content!
That's a bargain
Chevy? Eldorado. Might want to double check your info.
SOLD! $1800.00. 😅
I never knew Chevrolet made an Eldorado 😂
The one and only Chevy Eldorado convertible
Hope they didn't go cheap for confederate flag nonsense !!!
Long live America love from UK !!!
well that price of 60k for those car was a joke wow
That’s pretty cheap for four very nice cars.
These cars went way too cheap, we’re they bondo buggies or something ???
1970s Chargers were never used...
There were no 1970 chargers used on dukes of hazzard. Only 68 and 69
Chevy Eldorado ?!
I bet they lost a lot of money. Only $60,000.. a bare stock Charger clean goes for that much or more.
They are replicas they are not from the show
What a steal
There were up to FOUR police cars in HC. Just to chase the Duke boys!
That woman in that outfit is literally the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen.
Bruh she got an IG ?
I’m sry but those should have sold for more, must be too many younger people attending these auctions nowadays.
Hard to believe how many chargers they fucked up over the years
Need uncle Jesse's Ford and Daisy's Jeep in there
What about Daisy's Roadrunner?
@@7cougar0 Her Jeep is more iconic
A "Chevy Eldorado"?
Tom's looking pretty good. If you don't follow him, John Schneiders channel (aka Bo Duke) is pretty good, with lots of good Dukes content.
Ok
Wonder why he didn’t show up for this?
Wow what a steal.. but if you own these cars, you take them to Car Shows,, they are a good draw.
They are replicas... Calm down
John schneider is not detirinacting in heslth
I like than car
Whis had all them car
Tom Wopat looks like he is going thru hard times, he probably needed the money and got ripped off selling his collection
Lol yup hes looking half stewed
