The F1 driver does 1 corner 10,000 times, a Rally Driver does 10,000 corners once - converted from F1 - WRC is the best !
What did they do with the engine or exhaust? Sounds better than ever.
I would take a guess that they were driving with "old" engine until now (one that was designed for 2016 season). This new one sounds so different compared to to other videos. But this is what rally car should sound and look in my opinion can't wait to see this in Finland next year.
Do you know what the old engine is and what they are using now? was the old one a tuned up version of the one in the production vehicle? tuned up 1nzfe perhaps?
No unfortunately no I don't have anymore information available than you my friend. This point was only made by the fact that the car sounded different and the other older videos have very similar sound to the Toyota they were preparing for the 2016 season.
Must be pretty loud because the mic can't take it all at many parts. Unless this was filmed on a mobile phone...
It's so reminiscent of the old Group B Metro 6R4 in terms of sound and manic bodywork. Awesome!

En las zonas lentas suena como los WRC actuales, bastante estandar, me atreveria a decir que tipo Ford, pero cuando abre gas en recta suena como el Mini WRC que no me acaba de gustar mucho, pero en general esta bien, muy espectacular!

+Sve Law Well... first of all, WRC rules limit cars to 300hp, which means that testing a 750hp rally car meant for WRC wouldn't make much sense. But in the mid-80s in the Group B era, manufacturers were competing with cars making 600+ horsepower and much lower weights (i.e. 1962 lb, 1.8L twincharged I4 560hp, Lancia Delta S4) because they didn't have the technology to make them fast enough in the corners, so they used the ridiculous engines and barebones shells with no safety features to make up for it. Nowadays with modern rally suspension technology, cars making less than half the power can keep up with Group B cars, so you are correct, anything modern with 750hp would be too much for the best drivers in the world to handle.

o el mismo motor, pero ampliado a 1.6?
Las nuevas normativas no permiten mas de 1.6L no?
los wrc actualmente montan un 1.6 Turbo que desarrollan de 290 a 315cv aprox. con tracción integral claro

tommi mäkinen näillä testi videoilla on tuonut tätä autoa jopa silmä määräisestikkin kaikkein kovinta vauhtia. tommi ei ole kadottanut vauhtiaan mihinkään,hän voisi vieläkin pärjätä sarjassa tai yksittäisissä kilpailuissa, tommi ei nostele vieläkään :)

That rear spoiler looks so huge it´s like borrowed from bigger car like Subaru Impreza and Tommi took it from his driving school car. I´ve never seen so huge spoiler in any cars like this here.

To me this looks like this car is diving too deep in every breakings and stops, of course gravel makes that too but it´s too soft for that and loses seconds in every turns even with Tommi Mäkinen. Without him this would be still a regular family car. This needs some more push and attack but noise is straight from hell.

+Martin Benjaminsson I think it's the ECU timing of the cylinder firing that makes that noise. Maybe it only uses three cylinders at the red line or when changing gear ?

Pfftttt...I can drive like that. I've clocked about 20 hours into "Dirt Rally" and finally one a first place championship.......
