Really appreciate all the comments and feedback on the video guys! Im definitely working on improving the videos moving forward. Just wanted to note on the battery hump, there might be an option (not 100% confirmed) that’ll make the load floor flat with storage pockets adjacent to it. Hopefully we’ll learn more as we get closer to deliveries.
Nice review; idk about that second row not being able to slide back and forward to create more space; then the multiple hump gaps in the rear is not appealing.
Good overview - enjoyed and appreciated your pace, most reviewers blather on about nothing for minutes on end. Amazingly rare to not have to jump or fast forward through unnecessary parts of a video review.
Hit 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in last month 2024. The price is perfect.
If people don’t know, this is the Land Cruiser PRADO, not the flagship land cruiser that’s sold overseas (LC300) despite the fact that this Prado will also be sold overseas. In the European markets, the Prado is sold as just the “Land Cruiser” since the flagship Land Cruiser isn’t sold there. This “Land Cruiser” (Prado) we’re getting is the LC250. I don’t know why Toyota didn’t bring the Prado name for this “Land Cruiser”’to the US. Also the hybrid system should take care of low-end power, meaning less stress on the engine. Made in Japan, too.
The Prado has been sold as the "Land Cruiser" in markets like Europe for years, so this is only a "Prado" where the Prado name is used. This is just not a 300 Series. Land cruiser is split across 3 grades, light duty Land Cruiser (250 Series), medium duty Land Cruiser( 300 Series), and heavy duty Land Cruiser (79 Series). Flagships change based on markets
@faheemabbas3965, It seems Toyota has its own marketing strategy for US market, since there are many USDM (US Domestic Market) version of Toyota vehicles that sold only in US. This TLC Prado share same platform with Toyota 4Runner (one of USDM Toyota Vehicles) and Lexus all new GX. This is maybe why they don't sell it in US, since this model has its sibling, which is Toyota 4Runner for USDM only. But I don't know whether the all new 4Runner has been launched or not in US. And for the TLC 300 (Top model of Toyota Land Cruiser), my speculation why it didn't sold in US, probably They already have Toyota Sequoia (Full size SUV and USDM) in US. Although Sequoia is lower class than the TLC 300. I still prefer TLC 300 rather than Sequoia in terms of off road capability and luxurious.
Made in Japan, good. Not made by diversity hire sub 75 iq monkeys in USA. These Japanese manufacturing workforce is general smarter than most dumb current Americans. Wish it wasn’t so but it is. Not like old where you had a big workforce made up of Germanic workers!
I really like the design, but at the same time it baffles me why Toyota is not capable of designing back seats that can actually lie flat?! The cargo area would be a problem while over landing!
I probably will get the third edition LC because every new vehicle has plenty of bugs in it until the next edition will eliminate some of those bugs issues on that beautiful SUV’s
I noticed from the reviews that the Prado/Land Cruiser has the air vents on the ceiling while the GX has them only on the center, weird. I hope they change the configuration of the ventilation on the GCC model.
I didn't think it would matter to me since I've never owned a Land Cruiser but the lack of split tail gate is getting under my skin. And now, that trunk space with a hump is bothersome. It makes is just an awkward space.
It looks like a Defender at first glance. If I hadn't learned of this release and seen it driving around, I would immediately assume as such until seeing the badge. 😅
I really don't like that it doesn't have a 3rd row seating. I hope it's an option or an option later. I will pass on year 1 of production until 3rd row is available unfortunately.
Sadly, I expect that feature to go away on the 4R, too, when it moves to the GA-F platform from the J150. I still think it's bizarre that the Tacoma Limited will get a full-time option, but the Sequoia has a part-time Tcase.
Wow thanks for the newest 2024 Land Cruiser video! Question: with the standard 2400 watt inverter, will we be able to run it like a generator so long as the car is turned on? Thanks!
I just got back from my local Toyota dealership and they have this same first edition on their lot for sale. MSRP is 80k with an 11k markup for a total 91k.
I wish it had an optional 3rd row. You might as well just keep an FJ if it’s not gonna have that options. Also, why is the heated steering wheel option on the passenger side of the car??
Greatest Inspiration and we need and wish real best 8K 60fps or 120fps HDR10+ resolution clarity quality for videos or photos and Sound in full HD 3D Stereo Surround , Soon Please
Agree, at least the volume knob in the 4runner is in the right place, plus the cargo area and seats go completely flat when you have the cargo tray. I don’t see a real value of this LC over the 4runner 5th generation
I know its a tiny nit to pick but I can't get that wonky volume control knob out of my mind. I mean, really, that's the best place they could put it? More seriously, that does not look like much 2nd row leg room.
I for one don't like generic ("boring")looking vehicles.,& I feel the LC 250 looks awesome compared to the LC 300,simply coz the latter looks like I said generic while the LC 250's design is bold with heritage(LC 60) design elements.
glad this is a prototype because the back space is all kind of wrong....not fat, battery floor protruding up, gap when the 2nd is down....watching that was nauseating
It's a Landcruiser Prado even though toyota isn't using the prado nameplate in the NA market. Historically the Prado has been sold all over the world with primarily a 4 cylinder option. It is not the successor to the lc200 that's why it's not getting the V6 or a v8 option. This is a successor to the lc150 prado
Not to mention its a hybrid too, no thanks. But for $75k msrp just to get a rear locker on the GX, I don't think Toyota is trying to keep there off road community base.
This is not the Land Cruiser you Americans think it is, this is the Land Cruiser 250 also known as the Prado, the real Land Cruiser is called LC 300 which will not be sold in the USA confirmed by Toyota
Nissan has a huge opportunity if they get a new Xterra out. The 3.8 V6 is a much better base engine. Does Toyota really think people are going to want to cross streams or mud with all those high voltage wires under the hood? Or is this a boomer status symbol like a Wagoneer that will never do real off roading?

Where you Tacoma video?
When will be available in Kuwait?

Like a GIANT FJ cruiser but Better in EVERY way and I LOVE IT 🤩🤩🤩💋💋💕💕
Got to get rid of the bump in the cargo area. Figure out a way to stow the battery elsewhere

I think the GX550 is the prado. This is something different
@@HKX_ORANGECHICKEN This is the TLC Prado, it share the same platform with the All New Lexus GX and the USDM Toyota 4Runner.
Hello, thanks for the video! Can the rear seats lay down flat to turn inside to a quick bed if needed ? Thanks
I really like the design, but at the same time it baffles me why Toyota is not capable of designing back seats that can actually lie flat?! The cargo area would be a problem while over landing!
They can, they just don't want
It’s because of the hybrid system (battery), in Australia we are getting the diesel version so the cargo area is actually flat and usable.
@@92miata Of course, rub it in why don't ya.
@@92miata But that would be where the two child / additional seats fold into, correct? So, still there'll be a hump!
GR edition seems to have that:

Terrific review, very conscious of the little details 👍
“Very retro and a throwback..” just trolling great video 😁
Haha thank you! 🙂
Love it! 🔥
Great review!
We need the fj cruiser back
Quick question…..just wondering if the mirrors are power folding??…nice when parking…….

I was excited until I saw the back opened up. Too many levels with the batteries and back seats which do not lie flat! Good review.
Yeah the trunk is the opposite of how I would like it.
subscribed right after the untimely clap cut... hahaha

I love this video
Wait no heated rear seats on the highest trim level?
What size tires do you think will fit with no lift? 285's KO2's?
The infotainment screen: “Very responsive…not super responsive” 😂😂
It looks like a Defender at first glance. If I hadn't learned of this release and seen it driving around, I would immediately assume as such until seeing the badge. 😅
Hi, does the sunroof in the first edition open all the way? Not sure the difference between moon and sun roofs?
Will there be an option to get white blinkers ⚪️ for europe, instead of orange 🟠?
I really don't like that it doesn't have a 3rd row seating. I hope it's an option or an option later. I will pass on year 1 of production until 3rd row is available unfortunately.
lots and lots of buttons I love it
I really need a off-road capable vehicle like the new Landcruiser to sit in rush hour traffic on the I-405 for four hours everyday
My dream car
What a vehicle!!
good thing this one is optioned with the bigger screen...should be standard
Damn, I like that LC 👍
When can i buy mine? Do you know when?
Wish they would offer manual transfer case lever like they do on the 4Runner. At least for the the 1958 edition
Sadly, I expect that feature to go away on the 4R, too, when it moves to the GA-F platform from the J150. I still think it's bizarre that the Tacoma Limited will get a full-time option, but the Sequoia has a part-time Tcase.
is this bigger than 4runner?
Now this one looks more like Land Rover Defender,
2024 toyota Land Cruiser 250 ( gazoo racing ) ? GR Sport ?
Hope the canter control comes in wood trim
Wow thanks for the newest 2024 Land Cruiser video!
Question: with the standard 2400 watt inverter, will we be able to run it like a generator so long as the car is turned on? Thanks!
Yeah it will turn on as long as the engine is running
@@PushingPistons that's great news! Will be very convenient not having to bring a portable generator!
@@PushingPistonscan it run off the hybrid battery too though?
I just got back from my local Toyota dealership and they have this same first edition on their lot for sale. MSRP is 80k with an 11k markup for a total 91k.
EVERYTIME i see a new video about this Land Cruiser, my love just gets bigger…..😍 e😍 😍😍😍😍😍😍
i really hope they update the rav4 with the same infotainment system, it looks great
I wish it had an optional 3rd row. You might as well just keep an FJ if it’s not gonna have that options.
Also, why is the heated steering wheel option on the passenger side of the car??
Second row seating looks way too small for 2 grown adults , it would of been great to have a panoramic moon roof and the sliding down back window
Pass on this because of the hybrid and batteries taking up valuable cargo space.
The only thing holding me back from this over say a GX460 is the reliability of the drive train. Will these go 300k+?
no one knows atm
18 vs 27mpg 😂 its basically a prius at its best version they came out in like 04
The memory seats are just for the driver’s seat, it allows two different memory settings for multiple drivers or seat settings.

Me thinks my ‘21 4Runner is going to hold its value veeeeery well.
My 23 as well
Yes will, i have a 3rd Generation 4Runner, still going strong.
Agree, at least the volume knob in the 4runner is in the right place, plus the cargo area and seats go completely flat when you have the cargo tray. I don’t see a real value of this LC over the 4runner 5th generation
No way I’m going to scratch mine 😊 🚙
And... Among these 5000 units, none of them will taste mud or rocks 😂
I couldn’t care less for off roading
Just like chunky looking cars
Too pretty for that, lol!
😂
New Off-Roaders are for flexing.
Old Off-Roaders for off-road, watch the new one is 5+ years old start using it for off-road😂
They won't even live past a 100k miles.
The one thing that would make this better is a rolling-down back window...
4Runner things.
How much is it?
Good review but I would suggest you show the vehicle by itself once without you being in front of it.
is there 7 seater prado 2024
I know its a tiny nit to pick but I can't get that wonky volume control knob out of my mind. I mean, really, that's the best place they could put it? More seriously, that does not look like much 2nd row leg room.
Really want to like this but the 4cyl engine and that humpy and bumpy rear storage is a fail for me.
No captain chairs?
Dealer markup up. $10k plus
plus your high interest loan
Ooh fancy Toyota

Yes, but once every 17 years they drive down a dirt road.
cyber truck better option ..???

No flat load floor in an “overlanding” vehicle? Miss :(
Color?
The “fabric” on the dash is 550 cord
Lexus GX for me! Too retro!
Would have seen sweet if it came with the same twin turbo v6
Get the GX. Same platform with the V6 and 10 speed auto
@@thebeddoctor4273 yeah but the MPG sucks on the GX.
So they can upsell you to LC300
What is the tread width of Land Cruiser 250?
265/70/18
"Earth" on the GX looks so good. This 'Trail Dust' straight up looks like baby diarrhea ...
Same color as my 92.
Still can't believe it's only gonna be a 4 banger. Sad that the next 4runner will likely follow suit. I'll hold onto my 5th Gen 4Runner.

It looks great to my eye. I'm not sure about a 4 banger however.

Yeah the GX is the move if you want the twin turbo V6

All the different levels in the back is a nonstarter
3 level trunk is not for me. Deal-breaker
I didn't know that a sway bar disconnector is a road legal function.
I think the 2023 it looks a lot better for Prado
bro that hump in the trunk is ridiculous. Good luck sliding anything in there :(
Metal rock sliders? Thanks for telling me! I was worried they were plastic, or soft touch material rock sliders😝
Ye I gotchu lol
Front look similar to land Rover defender 110
Better than all new hyundai santa fe 😊😊
