Ok….rode it again just now. Absolutely phenomenal.
Worth the trip to SDC alone if you’re into coasters.
And, agree with Canobie, sit in the front row of any car to avoid that wheel seat. Peace!
Outlaw Run is one of those coasters that slides down your rankings as you ride new RMCs until you ride it again and it shoots back up. This wood coaster has a larger drop and higher top speed than Arieforce One and Wildcat's Revenge. That's pretty crazy.
*FYI if you sit in the front row of any car on the train your ride will be far smoother (Odd number rows). You aren't over a wheel in that row.
One of the UA-camrs I watch operates outlaw and he says if you have a choice choose a non wheel row to help with the ruffnes a little bit

Since I almost always want to marathon this coaster, I just avoid the wheel seats and have no trouble with the potholes. Night rides on this coaster are fantastic!
Best night ride out there. Period. Even compared to the Beast. Yeah, front row is best except first drop in the back. Especially at night so you can't see anything in front of you. Not smooth but not rough either. Just contributes in the best way to the out of control feeling. A top 10 ride for me out of 275 credits.

Had my first couple rides today, this is definitely a special coaster. Feels big and bad…..in the best way possible. Rode front and then back with the front surprisingly being my favorite. It was bumpy in the back, but nothing you can’t handle.
Planning on a night ride tomorrow evening….RMC did good here.

Outlaw Run cracks my Top 15 despite the fact that the restraints absolutely crush me. By the end of the ride, my scrode was about to burst. 😬 Despite the testicular torture I was having to endure, it’s the best night ride I’ve ever been on.
My first and only RMC I’ve been on. And there was no line. Ran it 3 times. So much fun. Really want to try another one near by.
In wheel seats it is fairly rough especially at the bottom of the drop as you mentioned, but that is simply from the road wheels having a little bit of give on the track! Its slamming back down from the upstop wheels when that happens and you can even hear it shuffle on the wave turn
I feel almost no forces on the front
The back is just so much better in my experience
I also heard that this thing was getting really rough but going in I didn't really feel any discomfort, it was shaky yeah but I quite like that a lot.
Outlaw is my number 2 just behind ghostrider it’s location is just incredible and the forces are just immaculate. It’s pacing is simply mad. I love this ride so much!
i haven't been to a theme park in a while so watching trains depart from the station scares me

I rode this once, in the front row, in the evening not quite night, on a hot summer night. I only got one ride but man this ride is amazing. My head flew back from its pure speed halfway through the ride.
i commented that i felt a pothole on the silver dollar city facebook page and people started going off on me saying that can’t happen blah blah. now that somebody with subs sees it everyone agrees!! it got significantly worse though this year alone. i remember 2020 and 2021 it was great. this year in the back seat it’s just so uncomfortable
Got some amazing front row zen rides on this last month, so great!!!!
This ride has been my #1 for a very long time, even tho I have ridden better coasters than this. It's still my favorite and you cannot beat a night ride on this thing - absolutely pitch black, cannot see a thing. (Except a bit of green with the lift being lit up now)
This is my number 2 behind ghost rider which is number one for exactly the same reason you describe!
If you want great night rides at Silver Dollar City go during the fall festival. They’re open until 10 and it’s not that chilly so by the end of the day all of the rides are hauling. Outlaw run can be an actual walk on. I got like 5 night rides on it last year, and it wasn’t the only coaster I was trying to get night rides on

You are way to nice, this thing is great but consistently gets rougher every year.
SDC obviously is one of the best parks with some great coasters. It's hard to pick between Outlaw Run and Time Traveler. They are both great rides, but Outlaw Run is definitely my favorite. I think Time Traveler would be the GP favorite though.
