Agree. I can confirm that a pretty big factor is the headrest. Your head motion really does end up getting tied in with the coaster vibrations with a very thin margine for space.
Went to SDC two days ago and hadn’t ridden a rollercoaster in 8+ years (my last time being at SDC also) and had to say it was humbling. Rode em all twice- once in the day and once at night (outlaw run 3 times). I’d say my ride rankings would change based on day/night. I also rode Time Traveler once in the front car and once in the back. Two ENTIRELY different experiences. Taking that first drop in the back car is wild!
I'm going to SDC next week. I'm looking forward to Time Traveler, Powder Keg, Outlaw Run, and Wildfire. I've not been on a traditional sitdown B&M yet, I've done the inverts, standups, and wing models. I've been on Lightning Rod and the wave turn on it it very good, nice air time. Back row on Lightning Rod kicks the ride experience up another notch, IMO, after riding twice before near the middle of the train.
@@LN-Lifer SDC was great. Time Traveler was an interesting experience. Powder Kegs launch is powerful. Outlaw Run at night is great. Wildfire is good too.
One thing I would like for outlaw run is like the wildfire seats where you can hang on to something, as this rollar coaster is very ruff but it is so fun!
Great review! I honestly love Wild Fire and have it as my number 1. I still don't know what to think about time traveler. The ride operations on Powder Keg were terrible and I think it had a big rattle to it. Outlaw run is relentless and amazing
"Gravity is a State of Mind" I love Time Traveler. I was on Outlaw Run the week before and about three weeks after the tragic accident at Six Flags Texas of New Texas Giant. While OR was shut down, the train restraints were "tweaked" and the seatbelts were added. They took a ride that was a snug fit and made the restraints excruciating.
Going to silver city in one week. I think I’ll try some of these but not the time traveler. I definitely think I would puke on that one. Thanks for the good narrative.
Best Arrow mine? Pshhhhh, Road Runner at SFFT was 10x better! Thunderation hurt!! Anyways, when I went, Time Traveler never opened. (the highest temperature got to 41, (the minimum temperature that Time can operate in.) but the ride never had time to open before the temperature dropped to 39.9.) Wildfire surprised me! I sat in the 2nd to back row, and it was the smoothest B&M I have ridden! I loved the airtime and hangtime. Powder Keg wasn’t underwhelming, but I was expecting more. The launch was nice! The airtime on the two hills were nice, but my favorite part of the ride was the drop off the lift in the back. I liked it! Finally, Outlaw Run. Holy crap!! This ride is amazing!! The ride has crazy airtime, amazing forces, and some great theming on the train! The trains weren’t the most comfortable, but I didn’t have that much of a problem with them. The final inversion hurt a bit, but I loved it! Ride count: Outlaw Run: 15-20 Wildfire: 1 Powder Keg: 1 Thunderation: 2 Time Traveler: 0 Ranking: Thunderation #4 Powder Keg #3 Wildfire #2 Outlaw Run #1
Bro i think wildfire is the smoothest in the whole park and also yes I have been to silver dollar city i basically live there because me my cousins and family go all of the time it is such an amazing park and i definitely reccomend going
My Top 3 are so close that I could only separate them by their negatives: 5. Thunderation 4. Wild Fire 3. Outlaw Run (Would probably be #1 if the restraints didn’t absolutely crush me) 2. Time Traveller (Sometimes you’ll get a boring ride) 1. Powder Keg (The most underrated coaster I have ever ridden! Where else can you get a compressed air launch coaster that focuses on floater? It’s a bizarre, but great coaster and that’s why I love it!)
The first time I rode outlaw run, I came out with bruises on my ribcage area, hopefully it's smoothed out since. (I rode it in its first month of being open)
I don't know if you have ridden hades 360 but I feel like outlaw run is very similar but a little worse because it's beginning section is amazing and the corkscrew completely whips you very fast sorry I am late
This is a good ranking of the coasters! SDC is my home park and most people call me crazy for liking Powder Keg more than Wildfire, the latter can be good when its running fast and forceful, however the airtime on the first 2 hills and the weird janky laterals on the Buzzsaw Falls track is hard to beat on Powder Keg! I also am stuck between Outlaw Run and Time Traveler as the best in the park
@@LN-Lifer Weird! ive only met people who like Wildfire better because its the "Bigger ride, and goes upside down" But generally the GP who visit SDC do prefer Powder Keg because its a "family ride" Just in my circle of friends everyone likes Wildfire better
@@DjKrypticBMG i guess I'm going just from what my kids say and a few videos like this. 4 oldest kids prefer PK but my youngest son and I prefer WF...but we are chickens while older kids are fearless freaks
Each coaster at SDC is very re rideable. They all each have their unique elements. It is so hard to pick a favorite but every time I go there I have to ride wildfire and time traveler. I do like outlaw run but if I can’t make it on outlaw run on every single visit that is okay. The restraints on OLR aren’t as comfortable as TT.
Powder keg was such a good ride and at night time its pitch black so its a really fun experience Also can we talk about the fact that you have nothing to hold onto during outlaw run
Thunderation if you sit in the back you, you will literally get a back problem because I did that with my sister and we like bumped heads together, and like I hit her in the face on accident. It was really crazy.
I've went to Silver Dollar City every year and I got season passes this year and my every year besides 2020 and And I have only gotten on thunderation and timetraveler and I would rate thunderation a 9/10 and timetravler a 6/10
You’re almost right! It tops out after the track transition, specifically right at the evacuation platform in the Buzzsaw Falls section of the track, and burns off speed down to about 50 mph as it enters the lift hill. I’ve clocked it with a radar gun. Speeds vary slightly between the different trains.
Great vid! I have a question, can you possibly look at a POV of wolverine wildcat at Michigan’s adventure and create a rmc of it in no limits plz I really think it should be rmc’d
I have a list of coasters I'm gonna RMC and wolverine wildcat is on that list. I'm going to do the Boss and maybe one other coaster before wolverine wildcat but we'll see
@@zachs8033 It was the lap bar, but I dont think it was a problem with the restraint itself, I think the ride ops just pushed it down too far. This was just bad for my body type because I'm skinny, so the restraint just got pushed right into my hip bones which wasnt comfortable.

Outlaw Run is one of the shakiest and most claustrophobia-inducing rides with the leg restraints.. plus there’s no support for your neck, so after a few, even just one round, your neck muscles feel it. Maximum 6/10 from me.. I don’t see how Outlaw Run is better than Time Traveler.. not in the slightest.

Outlaw run was my personally my scariest but wildfire, powderkeg, and time traveler are all amazing
i been here alot and seenig alot of vids but this 1 is my best 1 i seen
I've never heard anyone call Wildfire rough. It's literally the coaster people ride simply because it is so smooth
I got a rough ride on it but it’s the vibration
No B&M is rough it just has a rattle wooden coasters are rough basically every other steel coaster has rattles which can cause head banging
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od that’s not rough it’s their rustle they’re rides are smoother then intamin

Good List! In my opinion wildfire looks better than powder keg, but i can see powder keg being higher on the list. Also, congrats on 1k!
Thanks!
Wildfire is fun
PowderKeg is terrifying and doesn't feel safe at all
wildfire is so much better in my opinion
Your rating on Time Traveler is perfect in my opinion. The spin really adds to the experience of the actual ride!👍
Congrats on 1k!
Thanks!

PowderKeg scared the heck out of me
A couple years ago thunderation had some cars that were backward. Riding backwards was my favorite part of the ride
Idk why they took those out?
But to be honest once you got past the novelty the backwards ride was actually less thrilling

Thunderation ironically is the tallest rollercoaster at the park, its lift hill is 121ft tall and that is only a foot taller than Wild Fire.
