- Congregational Hymn 'Be Thou My Vision' - (8th Century) which was sang during a service for Peace and Reconciliation at St. Cloumba's Church Drumcliffe, Co. Sligo. In attendance was TRH The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Former President of Ireland Mary McAlesse, British Ambassador to Ireland Dominick Chilcott amongst others. The choir included students from; from Sligo Grammar School, Ursuline College, Mercy College, Summerhill College, Sligo & Grange VEC Schools. 20th May 2015.
I will listen to this repeatedly as I read scripture, journal, and pray.

The Roman Catholic bishop singing next to two Anglican clergy (bishop and vicar) of the Church of Ireland and a mixed congregation of schools and choirs and the faces of the Irish singing a wonderful traditional Irish Hymn beloved by both traditions. This is the here and now. These young people are the future of the Emerald Isle. Transcending old hatreds and divisions and looking to a brighter future. The whole service can be viewed on the Drumcliffe Church channel.

A Beautiful observation. Pastor John Yeats and the Roman Catholic priest were also great friends. pastor Yeats served in St Columba's Church from 1812 to 1846.

We sang this hymn at my daughter’s wedding in our Episcopal Cathedral. I love the Irish tune and the prayerful words.

A beautiful hymn. Shame that the organ seems like a pathetic wheeze. They could've at least hired a decent digital sampled instrument given the V.IPs present!
