Hey, Chris. Hope you're doing well mate. Yeah I got bored of the talking head intro bit and wanted to get right to the content so this is where I landed. Thanks for watching, mate 🖖😁
Another cracking video mate, I’ve got the Canon EOS300 & 500 35mm Film Cameras but not any of the D series yet. You wouldn’t believe it but a guy on one of the reseller channels picked up an 1100D at a car boot for £5, yes it had no battery or charger but for that it’s worth the gamble
Cheers, Brian. It's mad how inexpensive some of these old DSLRs are. It's definitely where I'd recommend anyone getting started in the game looking for their first camera. Thanks for watching, mate. Have a good one 🖖
My dad just gave me that camera too, gonna use it for my upcoming vacation. Although my phone has more pixels. I am a beginner, so noticed today I found out how much shutterspeed matters when taking pictures handheld! But when I get the money I'll get a a6400 if im still into taking pictures more often or filming skateboarding
Yeah, phones are awesome, but there's something about the bigger sensor that just gives a clarity to your images. The a6400 is an awesome choice! Thanks for watching 🖖
You have a new sub my friend. A few years ago a friend of mine gave me his Dad's old 450D. There seems to be a theme running here of Dad's giving their son's their old cameras! I'll be honest, I've never used it, but your video might just change my mind.
These reviews of the older Canons really prove the saying 'you date your bodies and marry your lenses'. Theres a lot of merit learning the craft on a bare bones camera. I started on a 40d with a broken lcd screen, I really had to work hard to learn composition and the exposure triangle. I can't agree more that cameras like this are EXCELLENT entry points. Cheap enough that you can make mistakes, get rough, take risks but still perfect to create great images! Great video as always mate!
Thanks very much mate. I love these old DSLRs, the mirrorless cameras feel so delicate in comparison. I'm confident I could drop a camera like the 40d (I dropped my old Nikon d800a few times and it just kept on going) and not worry too much. I reckon if I dropped the A7s I'd be looking at repairs at the very least lol. Have a great day 🖖
Hey, my setup right there! You're right about getting down low - it's always been the biggest hurdle, especially as you get older. With some macro shots, you feel like you'd have to lay down on the floor on your chest to look through the viewfinder. Imagine a dog walker spots you: "are you alright down there!?" I love the light setup shot around 5:40, but then I'm a sucker for the dark and nice lighting! 😃
Ah, that lighting was Chris'. Mine actually didn't leave my bag😂 Yeah, getting down on the forest floor is very low on my list of things I'm prepared to do when it's been raining lol Thanks for watching, Sam🖖
Can’t beat the old 🖖 very nice shots!
Cheers, Alex. Have a good one mate 🖖
ooooo new intro style?! I like it. Takes some more prep but I think its worth effort! great work man!
