I seen Weller at the Ritz in NYC back in 91. Probably the best concert of my life. Missed the 92 tour in NYC but this Tower Footage is simply incredible. RIP Dave Liddle.
I do not know a lot about Dave Liddle except he was a Long time guitar tech/Roadie for Weller. Please correct me if I’m wrong. He was amazing in 94 when Weller asked him to play Wood Cutters Son with him in Los Angeles at the Pantages. He blew the audience away with his superb guitar skills. I believe there is a video performance of him doing that from a different show officially released somewhere and hopefully.
I saw Paul on this tour in Chicago at the Vic sat down at Sheffield's Beer Garden for a couple of pints and made my way back to the show what a life-changing experience driving over from Port Huron Michigan to see the Weller Feller live he played what's going on... on his Wurtzler organ as I stood two feet away...❗❗ still have my original t-shirt with 5 tour dates on it..... cheers
Right on! Starting w/ TOWN CALLED MALICE for the masses. Shoots into solo golds(in my opinion!).THANK YOU for sharing this video. It did feel like I was there. Cheers. BTW PAUL looked HAPPY!
Saw Paul in the US for the first time in several years at this time - his renewed confidence was so infectious. Such a great time in the arch of his amazing career!
Really happy I found this. Great version of What’s Going On. Sometimes Weller theses day is Cr*p live. Here he is really good. Nice Town called Malice. The guy with the long hair and beard looks so bored. May be the yanks don’t appreciate the mod father! Whatever happened to Tower Records I guess all things must pass. I hear Tower is alive and well in Japan.
Is the girl in the front row with the glasses and Camera Debbie from Chicago it sure looks like her.... I saw Paul on this tour in Chicago at the Vic life changing experience....❗❗😊
As an American fan of 40 years I still can't understand how the Jam never was big in the USA.

Great selection - remarkable that the concert is filmed looking at the back of his head and not from the front, audience POV.
This is incredible! So thankful this footage exists.
