Переглядів 22 тис.9 років тому
Paul Weller promotes his first solo LP with an in-store performance at Tower Records (4th & Broadway, NYC) on November 25th 1992
Thanks for the upload ❤
Great selection - remarkable that the concert is filmed looking at the back of his head and not from the front, audience POV.
Bitterness Rising 19.22 Wow 🤩
This is incredible! So thankful this footage exists.
💚
Used to work at that store a few years before this. Left NYC to LA in 3/‘90
Brilliant. Bass player is the biz
As an American fan of 40 years I still can't understand how the Jam never was big in the USA.
back in the day when smartphones and selfies are non existent so nice to see people really there to enjoy the music
Brilliant 😎👍🎸🎶
Marvellous

Genius personified......
Just a piece of gold, Thanks for post it.
Class Act. You cannot fudge a live performance like this. If you haven't got it, you are exposed. Weller is a dude.
What a great footage!!! Weller Is a true legend! Genius of music!
Wow..Paul Weller always performs his best..even in an in store mini concert. Very dedicated, hardworking & passionate with his craft! 👍🏼
I saw Paul on this tour in Chicago at the Vic sat down at Sheffield's Beer Garden for a couple of pints and made my way back to the show what a life-changing experience driving over from Port Huron Michigan to see the Weller Feller live he played what's going on... on his Wurtzler organ as I stood two feet away...❗❗ still have my original t-shirt with 5 tour dates on it..... cheers
That mic stand! Awesome gig Paul 👌
Really happy I found this. Great version of What’s Going On. Sometimes Weller theses day is Cr*p live. Here he is really good. Nice Town called Malice. The guy with the long hair and beard looks so bored. May be the yanks don’t appreciate the mod father! Whatever happened to Tower Records I guess all things must pass. I hear Tower is alive and well in Japan.
Is the girl in the front row with the glasses and Camera Debbie from Chicago it sure looks like her.... I saw Paul on this tour in Chicago at the Vic life changing experience....❗❗😊
@@tomschneider7990 Don't know about girl in front row I was never there. Thank you for the reply. Hope you had a good Christmas.
Yeah, the only Tower Records stores still open are in Japan and Ireland.
One question why dose Paul have his back to the camera? Lol
Una maravilla!!
Anyone know who was on bass?
Camille hinds on bass, was also in the style council too.
Amazing performance for a record store gig!
Paul Wellaaaaaaaah! <3
That f**king mic stand, must of driven him mad. Nice post!
Great set!
I've been hoping someone would post this for years! I was there! Thanks so much.
Right on! Starting w/ TOWN CALLED MALICE for the masses. Shoots into solo golds(in my opinion!).THANK YOU for sharing this video. It did feel like I was there. Cheers. BTW PAUL looked HAPPY!
MOD
Magic m8, cheers for this, The mod god
What a nice neck Mr. Weller has! Only kidding! Thanks for this. Nice.
Great footage, weller on top form.
I was there for his autograph...was in college....just stumbled into it, but missed the concert...tower records...brings me back
Some of the crowd looked like they wandered in by mistake. Ha! Great time for Paul - he was on his way (back) up!
Saw Paul in the US for the first time in several years at this time - his renewed confidence was so infectious. Such a great time in the arch of his amazing career!
Yeah that metaller dude giving the side eye wtf?!
Great post. Thank u 👍
I seen Weller at the Ritz in NYC back in 91. Probably the best concert of my life. Missed the 92 tour in NYC but this Tower Footage is simply incredible. RIP Dave Liddle.
Arh , never knew he'd past
I do not know a lot about Dave Liddle except he was a Long time guitar tech/Roadie for Weller. Please correct me if I’m wrong. He was amazing in 94 when Weller asked him to play Wood Cutters Son with him in Los Angeles at the Pantages. He blew the audience away with his superb guitar skills. I believe there is a video performance of him doing that from a different show officially released somewhere and hopefully.
@@AstrialMan if you haven't seen it I highly recommend Paul with Dave atthe live Wolverhampton gig available on UA-cam doing 5th season ,superb.
Ian Clarke ... I have it somewhere on Video. Must check it out again.
@@ianclarke3627 I was at that gig .RIP Dave .

Suburb .Thanks
