    This was my husband’s song to me,he was a big weller fan,it was one of his favourites,he passed away last year very suddenly but this song brings me back good memories,after 40 years together it takes me back to a special place in time ❤️

    I was in Swoon in Stafford, stood maybe 5 foot away from him mixing and singing live to Generations Of Love. A proper, never ever forgotten memory that I’m grateful to have in my head❤
    Two of the greatest voices of our time. Both got voices of absolute velvet

    The first time my wife stayed over at mine, when I got up in the morning to make her a cup of tea & I played the original version over and over again on my CD player, I think she thought I was mad, but this song just makes think about my wife, the first day we met and still today

    The one girl I fell hopelessly in love with bought me this single; and signed it with "You're the best thing that ever happened to me." I miss her and I miss those days. I still have the record today. Bittersweet memories.

    So utterly unbelievable sounding, it is beyond words. One of the most majestic Style Council songs... done justice by another incredible genius. Boy George's voice on this is sublime and the BBC orchestra sends it into the stratosphere. Just wow!

      It’s not actually true, I’ve seen Paul live 15 times and he has sung it live at least twice when I’ve seen him, I think Paul slipped up and actually meant to say that he wrote it in 1984

      There sadly wasn't an audience (although one was planned) due to Covid. Restrictions meant that they could get the orchestra, sound guys amd cameras in but that was it so it became the intimate performance you see here.

    RIP to the best friend I EVER had, and THE best Dad. Sadly taken from us at 58yo.😢🌈🌠. Weller was the go to guy he listened to and loved. This is just beautiful and sucha fitting song from two fabulous musicians. I shall listen to it always. A timeless piece🎶🎙🎵🎹🎸🎷🎺

    Voices age and deepen and grow with life experience. Paul Weller, who never had a particularly smooth voice, doesn't sound so different but Boy George, who sounded like Smokey Robinson as a younger man, has developed a wonderfully soulful timbre.

    This is so emotional. A reminiscence of the carefree 80s in a time, when the end of the world as we knew it seems near. Somehow like the last concert of the Titanic's musicians. And a reminder for the things, which are really meaningful: Love, peace, and the people, who you care about, and who care about you. Thanks a lot!

      @Paul Weller I have been a fan of Paul Weller since about early '80 s. My brother introduced me 2 The Jam. We used 2 play them really loud....to annoy our father. 😎. I think Paul Weller is the best singer/songwriter of my time. All of the bands and his solo career, he just smashed it.
