I love that there are no signs telling you where it was. It was so cool to walk through the opening not knowing where I was going only to find myself immersed in a whole different world.
I'm actually kinda glad Jaws was replaced. It was an old ride that was on its last leg. I personally liked it, Amity Village hardly compares to Diagon Alley
Rashaun Yes, but without Universals Harry Potter, we prolly wouldn’t have your precious Star Wars would we 😏. Jk, I absolutely adore the themed Disney lands but honestly, as a Potterhead, the Wizarding world is like paradise
Jaws didn’t even make it to the ride’s 30th anniversary. At least there are things from Jaws still at Universal like the shark itself and the restrooms. And there’s Jaws Easter eggs within the land. Diagon Alley is such a cool land. The Gringotts lobby is awesome.
the bathrooms aren’t themed at all. i used to work in park services at universal. so i cleaned a lot of the bathrooms. they weren’t themed. i think the only ones that are were the ones in potter areas
I love theme parks that really pay attention to detail. the fact that they built this whole new world is insane! the craftsmenship is breathtaking! I could only wish I was that talented artistically
I wish they could replace the Fast an Furious ride. That ride removed such a great ride for a heap of garbage. The Wizarding World needs to rid the park of the new found garbage.
Wishful thinking has been to convert F&F into a Harry Potter Knight Bus attraction. Maybe the queue is the traffic school and guests are going on a test drive to rate the new drivers.
I would rather remove it but not make it Wizarding World because then the park would be mainly Harry Potter 1 land per park is enough we don’t need to keep building onto it
They could have gone underground and made their response to Epcot's Test Track. Perhaps another Premier multi-launch like Revenge of the Mummy with backwards sections, fire, and animatronics. But no. We get another movie-in-a-box ride.
Luciano Alonso YEAH! Maybe a remastered edition video to expand on the events and add in some future rumors of the retheme to The Princess and the Frog!
Lmao I love watching the openings and other HP celebrity appearances as we get further away from the movies. Like you’re probably gonna get Luna, a couple of Weasleys, and maybe one of the older actors who are between filming new movies if you’re really lucky.
As I've said on your other videos I am not a huge Harry Potter fan but the rides are absolutely amazing... Especially this one. The theme and the coaster itself are so good... Helps when you don't have to wait in line too long either lol... Enjoyed having our photos taking on the queue aswell which was a surprise
I went to Universal Studios Florida only once, and I only had one goal: to ride Jaws: The Ride! It was one of those rides I saw on youtube and wanted to go for so many years! But when I finally went, the ride was closed.... LITERALLY THE DAY AFTER! ONE MORE DAY!
So the first time I ever went to universal studios was 4 days after this section of the park opened. We did not plan for that but it was interesting to see how many people would wait to just get into that section. Every other ride was basically empty and universal ended up giving time cards to everyone in line to come back at certain times to get in for a period of time
I cried the first time I rode this and it was before I became a superfan of the series. It just took my breath away, I know it's no Forbidden Journey or Hagrids but it makes me so happy.
Lol, I’ve been a fan of the shows since I was a kid. I remember first riding this in 2017 after coming to Orlando for the first time in years. And as a Potterhead, man was I impressed. I took of the glasses, turned around to look at my Mom and said. “Oh Mam Mam can we ride that again!!” Ahh memories
That 3:05 photo to promote the Jaws ride severely traumatized me as a young child... as soon as I saw it on this video I felt like a flashback, it kept me away from the beach, the swimming pool, even from closing my eyes in my own bathtub. I remember besides holding like a printed version of it which was distributed in the parks seeing huge billboards on the Orlando highways and thinking the ride was going to feature a real shark of that size. I felt relief that whenever I went with my family that ride was always broken down. I did got to ride it as a grownup right before it shut down and it was ehhhh not what I had imagined lol
A great review! I did have some difficulties in finding the entrance to Diagon Alley. When you have time, I would recommend the history of Monster Inc. Laughing Floor at Magic Kingdom may be your next project.. Thanks!
Great video as always. This is an awesome ride though I would in the future like to see Jaws get a little more attention at Universal studios like at the new park they are building in Florida. I also can't wait to see what the new Wizarding World rides are at the new park with a few being based on the Fantastic Beasts films.
I haven't seen any of the movies or read any of the books (yet) but the lands were absolutely amazing. Escape from Gringotts was my favorite ride at the Universal park. It was like n ride I've ever been on before. And the immersion of both Wizarding lands was simply incredible. I don't know if they could have done a better job if they tried.
Great video! Still haven't ridden this one yet. From the ride vehicle design, I totally see The Mummy inspiration. Also, I'd imagine this attraction is less nausea inducing than Forbidden Journey. Keep up the good work!
Nice video! Gringott’s mixes a lot of practical sets with the screens, but the narration is so focused on the screens that I never really notice or appreciate them. It would have been great to have more “touring” of the vaults.
Well this was quite entertaining to see today. It's nice to return to this world once again, well done on the video. Hopefully down the line we do get more to see in the wizarding world.
I was working that day when it opened;because I worked at Universal Studios at the time. And there was a lot of technical problems that day also;like every 5 minutes within the hour and technical people had to run to the control room and fix the problem. And plus while being a Line Production Cook, I had to take a E.R. for the rest of the day;like before 4:30pm;since I was working from 7:00am
Honestly I remember riding Jaws as a kid and how it scared me, looking back is I bet it was awesome. But as a Potterhead, man, I’m sorry Jaws. BUT DIAGON ALLEY! Just how is something as amazing as that humanly possible!? It’s amazing
So happy, I remember requesting this video about a year ago.. Maybe it happened after you completed this video, but Universal Studios laid off the staff who worked for the Fear Factor Live section at the end of June. Those staff told people that Universal is expanding that area for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
For the next video can you do journey to the center of the earth at Tokyo Disneysea? Great ride I want to see an in depth video about. Or the great movie ride.
I’m still pissed I wasn’t old enough to really clearly remember Jaws the ride. I remember going to the parks one year, and just seeing the whole area was closed, was pretty sad about it
This attraction has such a promising que, but the ride mechanism and promise of a genuine mine shaft with mine cart ultimately disappointed by a wide margin
I'd love to see more videos on attractions and parks that aren't Disney or Universal, like King's Dominion in Virginia. Rides like Volcano, Anaconda (first underwater tunnel), Racer 75 (formerly Rebel Yell), Avalanche, and my first coaster Scooby-Doo (now Woodstock Express) would be great. The park has gone through a lot of changes over the years thanks to Paramount and Cedar Fair.
Great video as always! It's always a treat to see the notification that there's a new vid from you. One thing I did want to mention is that the audio is always a bit low on the vids for me
Finally! The video on Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts is here! Have been extremely excited for a long time. For the next video can you plz do The Hunted Mansion?
The first time we went to the goblin exchange my dad was drinking butterbeer and the goblin told him that no drinks were allowed. he thought it was a recorded message so the goblin started viciously insulting him
Bill got more screen time in this ride than he did in nine movies.
There is only 8 Harry Potter movies plus the two Fantastic Beasts which he isn’t alive in because of when it takes place so what do you mean?
Lol if Harry and Hermione has come back to film new stuff that probably wouldn’t be true anymore 😂
@@howtolife6783 Yea I was thinking that too.

Walking into Diagon Alley is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced at a theme park regarding a movie recreation. They nailed it.
Diagon alley is the best part of HP at Universal
I literally cried! 😂
It’s incredible how the world “pops” open when you walk in
I love that there are no signs telling you where it was. It was so cool to walk through the opening not knowing where I was going only to find myself immersed in a whole different world.
Much appreciated moment of silence for JAWS. Such a dearly missed ride 💔
Right???
Wasn't it far from its glory days at that point?
I miss the Jaws ride so much as well. RIP Jaws ride.
@@SirBlackReeds Eh, if so my nostalgia masked it. Also, I think it could have survived longer with a refurb.
I'm actually kinda glad Jaws was replaced. It was an old ride that was on its last leg. I personally liked it, Amity Village hardly compares to Diagon Alley
Gringotts and Diagon alley are the best themed areas in a theme park I’ve ever been to.
All of DisneySea and Galaxy’s Edge obliterate any Universal themed land.
Rashaun, I was about to say the exact same thing.
Rashaun while I 100% agree, Diagonally pushed the industry in the right direction. DisneySea though is on another level.
@@ofclshn Crazy, it's like it was built 5+ years after any of Universal's current lands!!
Rashaun Yes, but without Universals Harry Potter, we prolly wouldn’t have your precious Star Wars would we 😏.

30th?! It didnt even get to 20 lol
I thought I heard that the shark was removed due to COVID-19 concerns
Removing BTTF and Terminator 3D was a bigger offense.
Clay3613 terminator 3-D was trash
I love theme parks that really pay attention to detail. the fact that they built this whole new world is insane! the craftsmenship is breathtaking! I could only wish I was that talented artistically
I don’t get why this guy doesn’t get millions of views. He’s 1000% more interesting than most of the more famous people on this app
It’s always a joy when Theme Park History uploads a new video about Universal Studios. :) Can you do Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit for your next video?
Yeah RRR has one of the most hilariously awful histories it terms of marketing. 😂 Still a fun ride though especially with the music system
You got your wish lol
I wish they could replace the Fast an Furious ride. That ride removed such a great ride for a heap of garbage. The Wizarding World needs to rid the park of the new found garbage.
It had so much potential but they made it a shitty tram ride with bad screens
Wishful thinking has been to convert F&F into a Harry Potter Knight Bus attraction. Maybe the queue is the traffic school and guests are going on a test drive to rate the new drivers.
I would rather remove it but not make it Wizarding World because then the park would be mainly Harry Potter 1 land per park is enough we don’t need to keep building onto it
Or you know like, build a ride based on a different IP, instead of turning it into The Wizarding World of Universal Studios.
They could have gone underground and made their response to Epcot's Test Track. Perhaps another Premier multi-launch like Revenge of the Mummy with backwards sections, fire, and animatronics. But no. We get another movie-in-a-box ride.
Hey how about a video on the History of Splash Mountain since it being re-theme to The Princess and the Frog.
He already did it

One of the best immersive rides ever made
I got to ride this in February 2020 and was the first ride of my trip. It took my breath away it was so amazing and made me shed a tear.
I remember I first rode this and I didn’t know if it was a roller coaster, a simulator or wtf was going on 🤣😭 best believe that drop took my soul

FINALLLYYYYYYYYY YOU'RE A KING FOR THIS ONEEEEE
20:26. I remember the Lego Harry Potter games saying... Only goblins can use keys.
Time for you to become a host, a Ghost Host. Do the HAUNTED MANSION the wait is over!!!!!
I would watch it, but not at all necessary. Offhand Disney more than has it covered.
He should wait til Halloween month to do that on as well Beetlejuice's Graveyard Renvew and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween.
There are already enough Disney youtubers that have went over it

GIRL!!!..... 😳😤🙄😒
I would love that!!
I've never clicked so fast on a TPH video, I remember going to this a week after it opened in Orlando. Crazy to think it was 6 years ago

Diagon Alley is the finest theme park land in the world. I say that as a massive Star Wars fan disenchanted with Galaxy’s edge.
I'm not even a Sat Wars fan and even I'm sick of Star Wars nerds complaining about the original trilogy. Like get over it already.
seeing as how one ride takes place in hogwats and another in gringotts it only make sense for the next ride to take place in the ministry of magic
Awesome video! For a ride suggestion, could you do the Pirates of the Caribbean ride?
You should do more Busch Gardens rides like ShieKra or Cheetah Hunt. I love all your videos so much!
Man, I wonder if the Hollywood park will ever get some of these Orlando rides. Doesn't seem like it, at least any time soon.
Man Universal Orlando always gets the good stuff.
I love how universal constantly refuses to say how much all these rides cost XD
