Haha! It's definitely an interesting take. This is, to my knowledge, the first time a From Soft game was so roundly and firmly rebuked for its difficulty. Likely it's due to the sheer amount of new players interested in From Software's games thanks to Elden Ring's success. Seems like many weren't prepared for their souls to be crushed into a fine powder. Even just a few years ago, I would have noped out pretty quickly, myself... though I wouldn't have left a negative review due to it.
