See how the girl is yelling at her mom and blaming her for past events? That is part of how and why she ended up in an abusive relationship. These abusers actively look for people who have past issues/trauma with their family, then twist and turn it everyday, weaponizing it against them, saying "Nobody loves you, your family don't love you, look what they did to you in the past, nobody loves you but ME!" It's drilled in your head, a constant reminder, to keep you angry at your family, to make THEM the enemy. It's just sad all around.

@Sierra Nichole I truly hope she does decide to leave him, file charges against him & stick to it, and choose to have a relationship with her mother, rather than him. Unfortunately, that usually doesn't happen until it's too late. She gets upset with her mother for saying words that hurt her feelings, but she chooses to stay with the abusive man who physically abuses her. She chooses to forgive and forget for him, but doesn't choose to do so for her mother. Ugh. These types of situations and that type of behavior between her & her abusive man are so worn out by overuse and redundant. Smh.

I thought I could fix things and make everything better in my marriage. Years of abuse almost led to my death in front of my children. Thankfully I escaped and we have been safe for 7 1/2 years, but it almost ended differently.
