That guy is actually a real threat. Her mother isn't any kind of an issue but he's focusing on her because he doesn't want his wife to have anyone to run to when he becomes abusive. He's only going to get worse the older he gets.

Yea but hes obviously got mental issues. The fact that he actually admitted that he cant look at his son because hes hurt by losing her. He just admitted that. And theres countless good men and women who go through that. And sometimes its out of control. He needs help.

Yeah I’m kind of glad to see that she knew that this man was not good for her. A lot of men and women don’t want to admit that they know the person that they are with is not right for them. But this young lady was very smart and glad to see that this guy wasn’t right for her
What's also a red flag is how he views his kids. He wouldn't talk to his son because the relationship with his mother is broken. So to him, the children are nothing more than pawns or chest pieces. He doesn't have the queen so the kids are of no value. She's good to walk away.

A quick google says that 50% of children in America are from broken families, which sets me thinking that some of the fathers from this 50% will see their children, with the other 50% caring enough to stay with their partner, which makes the suggestion that most males see their kids as pawns, appear to be a perspective which is built upon shaky foundations.

I had an ex just like that. Didn't want anything to do with his kid once the relationship was over. Blocked every attempt for my new husband to adopt her, too. But it all worked out in the end. Because once she came of age, SHE made the choice of who she wanted to be her dad and there was NOTHING her biological father could do about it. In the end, the kids will KNOW who was there for them and who truly loved them.
I’m glad it all worked out for you but it’s a shame how long he forced you to wait. He sounds like such a loser. I hope your new hubby gets to adopt her and loves her to death!! Good luck!!

So my situation is completely different I’m dealing with a narcissist ex she has our daughter in her custody I’m on probation I been there for my daughter since she was born. When we first separated she had no problem with letting me spend time with my daughter we had a better co parenting relationship now that she’s in a new relationship and soon to be married I hardly hear from her when it’s pertains to mourn daughter the only way I can see her is through visitation with my ex mother in law who literally hate’s me. It’s hard for me but I still try it’s gotten better to where my father has her for certain holiday’s so I do what I can to go see her and spend time with her she knows who her father is and she loves me it’s her mother that’s trying to drive a wedge into our father daughter relationship everything she does is in spite of me yet she’s the one that’s getting remarried you’d think she’d be happy and let me be a father to our child but she keeps doing thing’s to hurt my pride as a man I keep taking the high road her new husband has never once introduced himself to me…

I walk 20 minutes sometimes just to get to a bus stop. I'd walk any time to see my kids if I had any. One time I walked 7 hours to work when the public transportation went on strike.

He also openly admitted that he ignored his son because his wife left even though it was fault which he said as well. She is better off without him and can be a good mother to her kids because she isn't dealing with the unnecessary stress and drama from her ex husband

I think the only way he could’ve fixed their relationship, is if he came to her being 100 percent apologetic and willing to listen to her.. he would’ve needed to go to therapy, or maybe get a psychiatric evaluation if he were serious about working on his issues. I haven’t seen a pay phone in a very, very, long time. However, Walmart has pre-paid throw away phones so you could get a working phone just for calling for $50. You could also call your provider to change your number, AT ANY TIME FOR FREE.

About the payphone thats true, they have pretty much removed all of them everywhere. I remember about 12 years ago my phone broke and by this point I didn't have a house phone since pretty much everyone just used cell phones. I tried to find a payphone and drove around for about an hour going to all the places they used to be. I went to malls, stores, shopping centers, a hospital, doctors and dentists offices and not a single one was found. I had to eventually go to a friend's house who wasn't home but they were a close friend so I was allowed to be there even if they weren't and got the hidden key to go inside since they still had a landline. Everything else may of been BS but I believe there wasn't a payphone available for him.

We all have to move forward with an open heart, and an open mind. When the present is clouded by the past, the future will always produce scattered showers. Falling forward is always a risk, but not as much as falling back.
