I don’t like the idea of the new lion king for a number of different reasons: 1) What did they DO to be prepared? 2) having the hyenas be stupid but it’s funny 3) I don’t want mufasa’s death to scar children
Well, obviously, because they were seriously outnumbered by the hyenas, and until Simba came back, there was no alternative male present to take Scar's place.
That’s where you’re wrong. Lionesses have been known to banish or kill the leader of a Pride. Upon that happening, a wandering male lion could overtake the throne. Look it up! Quite interesting stuff.
He was as far as they knew the rightful heir and he was backed by the Hyenas so both military and politics discouraged any real reason to rebel until the famine hit by which case they felt they needed help.
That and despite real life lionesses being capable of driving off males, in the Lion King a male is required to rule, until the Lion King 2, as Simba planned Kiara to be queen.
@@Amadeus8484 what they meant was that in real life, a pride is composed of and governed by females. Males come and go and do not stick for longer than they are needed. It reminds of okoye and the Dora miljae. They’re loyal to the throne, no matter who sits on it. But when it’s proven the person, kilmonger is unfit for king ship, they rebel.
Actually, Killmonger quite literally “assumed” the throne. The trial by combat is decided only by yielding or death. And like T’Challa said he never yielded nor was he dead. Killmonger’s refusal to resume the fight and settle the matter properly meant a violation of his rise to power and forfeited his claim as king by obtaining the throne illegitimately. While T’Challa being he son of T’Chaka and beating all other “legitimate fighters” made him the true king, Eric by all accounts took power through false information and when given the chance to take it the right way declined. It wasn’t that Killmonger was unfit. Ruthless and tyrannical to outsiders? Yes! But when it came to brass tacks he actually had a lot of public support in his attempt to conquer the world through technological dominance and an military force that could not be reasonably disposed of without a united global force, which Killmonger was already working towards gaining for himself, or by weaponry already outlawed by the UN, a group Wakanda wasn’t yet a part of. Killmonger WAS technically right and even his methods weren’t flawed from a militaristic point.
Actually no it's not. I am a grad student in a biology lab where we study lions. And a female lioness, especially just one of them, would never attack or fight back against a male lion, even a very weak male lion like scar. It just wouldn't happen
@@cynthia4lyfe103: Real personalities. Lol. Their personalities are anthropomorphized so we can relate to them better. Animals, including lions, have real personalities of their own and don't need to be anthropomorphized to make them "real."
Sarabi was the sister-in-law of Scar, and wasn't willing to turn her back on her family unless it her pride's destruction was assured if she never did.
Its pretty simple, the Lionesses were easily outnumbered by the Hyenas, as everyone could see, the hyenas alone could take Scar out in the end, and tons of them would be a problem for them. Plus, if they could go against them they wouldn't have sent Nala out of the pride lands for help.
@@Ladywizard Yeah okay in the deleted animated one right? Where Scar basically almost rapes here? But since its not in the original it doesn't count and she left on her own
I like how in real life it’s the opposite, when there is another male lion who is recognized as an intruder, the pride will do anything they possibly can to get rid of the intruder, they will probably even kill the male if he doesn’t give up, many lionesses could possibly kill a male lion, but in the lion king, it’s basically the opposite.
Its because of stereotypes where males are always stronger. Irl males are stronger but females are faster and smarter woth more numbers so if they wanted to gang up on a male they could kill him. One on one the male is more likely to win, though not easily(aka more battle scars etc)
For me, The Lion King (2019) was a decent remake. While the film has some flaws, such as be prepared being shortened, the way Mufasa's ghost was done and a few others, the film wasn't horrible. The music was as good as ever, the settings in a live action rendition look great, the CGI in the film was amazing and the film had elements where it still felt like Lion King to me.
Austin Williams, THANK YOU! Everyone is saying it is just utter garbage, but it really isn’t. Of course it isn’t as good as the original, but the cast and crew did an amazing job!
The remake was beautifully done. Many people complain about the lack of facial expressions (which was a little odd), but the realism and beauty of the CGI made up it. Not to mention the voice actors did amazing at portraying emotions. The shortening of Be Prepared was a little saddening, but I quite enjoyed how they incorporated the song into a speech. Was it as good as the original? Absolutely not, but it was interesting and it added a darker element onto Scar’s plans. Definitely wish it was longer, though. The soundtrack was loud, booming, and very chilling - it was beautifully done. I do wish Spirit wasn’t part of the movie, as it didn’t fit in very well - but overall, it was amazing. Obviously a remake isn’t going to be as good as the original, but the effort - and detail put into this film, along with its own original twists was very well-done. The backlash it has gotten from some people is not necessary.
There are definitely a few things I didn’t like, the realism shouldn’t of been a thing, part of the charm of the original film was the facial expressions and the body language of it, the realism limits the remake when it comes to the more bizarre scenes, which is something I did not like. Also, I feel like the designs were lacking, the lions looked too similar, Scar didn’t look like scar, and Timon looked... well not good. There aren’t any deal breakers in the movie, it is ok or maybe even decent, but when you place it next to the original film, the remake is a microwave dinner next to an expensive steak.
I watched the remake, and absolutely loved it! 😍 I appreciate how we get to see Sarabi act as a queen and the leader of the lioness. Nala wanted to convince Sarabi to fight, but the queen stood her ground and told her that they must wait until the time is right. Sarabi seemed to be trying to protect the pride from doing an impulsive attack against Scar, because he is protected by his army of hyenas, they'd have a low chance of winning against a clan of hyenas outnumbering them, and are better-fed than them. The queen can't leave, rebel on impulse, or (spoiler alert) accept Scar's offer to be his queen, because she's the last one the lionesses can lean on for strength.
they (the lionesses) were willing to leave in the original, sarabi even suggested doing so to scar once the land was barren, it was scar who wanted to remain. if they werent willing to leave then sarabi wouldnt have suggested it.
It was almost comical to me. I know that it symbolizes the timed healing of the lands and all, but imagine being such an unlikable, incompetent loser, EVERYTHING goes back to sunshine and rainbows the day you die. XD
ua-cam.com/video/urLwdFsAXks/v-deo.html this explains why their was a drought and why all the animals left the pride lands it was basically the kings of the past who cursed and created the drought not scar
I hate the fact that we lose so much watching What appears to be a nature documentary as opposed to the animated version of this movie. In the original version the animals all have expressions that conveyed their emotions. You could tell they were either sad or angry or happy or whatever. In this movie in the scene where the faucet dies, the only expression you can see on Simba's face looks like a cat meowing for milk as someone put it. In the original version in that scene, Simba looks like he's actually upset.
Aldo Aviles Exactly what I just said. There were only 7 to 8 lionesses and nearly a hundred hyenas. Now, if Zira and her lionesses were there, they might have supported Sarabi, Nala, Sarafina & the other pridelander lionesses.
As far as they knew, Scar was the rightful ruler of the pride lands. I love Simba’s honesty when when Scar presses him about the death of Mufasa-he believed he was responsible and was willing to accept the consequences-until, of course, he found out he was actually innocent.
I was asking exactly this. If they are based on East African Lions (forgive me I don't remember the specifics and haven't watched this video in it's entirety yet) the lionesses are more than capable of overpowering Scar. I just don't think they'd have any other lion that would be able to rule over them. No coalitions are present. Who knows?
1) They were outnumbered by the hyenas, who backed Scar 2) There was no other male lion to take over from him 3) Lack of food probably affected their energy All that changed when Simba showed up. A peak male lion could fight off more hyenas (like Mufasa did), there was someone to take over, and even though they were all famished, the morale was boosted and there was something to look forward to after Scar was gone.
Please do a theory on other cubs of Pridelands...I mean why dont' we see them when they were in the prideland as per Mufasa...Later even in Simba's pride, there was no cub in pridelands other than Kiara....
Mufasa asked simba to be with other cubs...If he had killed them, why would he ask him?? And even in lion guard,we see no Male Cub when lion guard was to actualy be of lions
Thank you for also mentioning the musical, so many lion king videos fail to add the broadway show. The original lion king is forever my favorite but I did love the 2019 version as well.
I mean, from what we saw, Scar and Simba were the only males in the pride. So since Simba supposedly died, if they would of killed Scar, there wouldn't have been any King to lead them. Plus, since Scar is closely related to Mufasa, the lionesses would probably feel guilty killing the former King's only brother. But that's just my theory
Yay you dropped the video thanks!!! Also I was apart of the vote that you asked us before u dropped this and I voted (why didn't the lioness overthrow scar)
Yes, but when they found out simba was alive and he was the rightful king, scar was the one who didn’t have the lionesses respect anymore, and then scar admitted that he was the one who murdered mufasa. Everyone thought simba was Deceased until nala found him in the jungle and then convinced him to return to the pride lands to take his rightful place as king successfully.
You know Lioness irl will fight the dominant male(s) if there is not a lot of food I mean MatPat made a video about something like this but the title of the video was Why Scar is the RIGHTFUL heir or something like that I don’t really remember so yeah.
The way I see it, it's not that they wouldn't even at the cost of disrespecting their king, but they were afraid to. Not because Scar is intimidating, but they (With the exception of Zira's cult.) also know how smart he is. My evidence is as follows: In the beginning long after circle of life, Scar makes a remark about Mufasa coming from on high to visit the common folk. There were lionesses sleeping in the cave where Mufasa and Sarabi sleeps, but that doesn't meant they were all there. There could be a bunch that lived on the same grounds that scar lived. (If Lion Guard is anything to go by, a few lions as well.) So naturally even if they weren't seen they could have heard his conversation with Mufasa. Specifically his remark about having more brains than brawn. And since it's shown that despite the classes the animals can intermingle with each other at places like the waterhole, they could have talked to the higher class lioness about the conversation. So naturally when Scar took over, there would have been a plot to kill or overthrow him, but they would worry because he's intelligent that he'd have a trick up his sleeve. Simba's arrival eased that worry, but they would be right considering Zira and Kovu were his trump card.
I think it was because, turning up againts the King would have been forbidened unless they had a good reason just like they had when Scar told the truth about Mufasa's murder
@@hundobestest nope he wasn't thats a myth and misconception ua-cam.com/video/urLwdFsAXks/v-deo.html this explains why their was a drought and why all the animals left the pride lands it was basically the kings of the past who cursed the pride lands and created the drought not scar
I also found the bit about the lionesses standing by their holy land rather interesting, as lionesses in nature permanently consist the pride, while young males leave the pride when they come of age, the females are the ones that remain in the pride for life from cub-hood.
I loved the 2019 remake, eventhough there were some scenes that werent good, such as when nala found adult simba the dialogue between them felt forced and out of rhythm. "Can you feel the love tonight" wasnt done well enough and felt lacking. Be prepared could have been done better and I would have prefered seeing sarabi age. But that being said the cgi and special effects were amazing and beautiful, from the sand blowing over the dunes to how the animals moved and behaved made everything feel real. Also changing a few scenes and adding new ones made more sense, such as making shenzi the matriach of the hyena clan( females are the leaders) and scar having received his scar from a fight with mufasa. For those who believe that the remake is dumb because the animals show no emotions, REAL animals cant show much emotions either such as crying or smiling. The remake isnt perfect, but it is the best disney remake so far.
You’re right. They basically gave Scar the benefit of the doubt. The ascend to power was “proper” after all, especially because the lionesses did not have any idea what happened. So they had no choice but to respect it. No one was willing to step up to be the leader in overthrowing Scar, not until Nala cannot take it anymore. Nala did not intend to look for Simba. She was looking for anybody who can help :) Only to find out that Simba is still alive so might as well have him back haha
People complain about the New Lion King .to realistic . because Humans can't relate to how animals express Emoticons. To them I say go check out Tge movie to Brothers a movie About two Real Tiger Brothers
Everyone read their lines with stilted, awkward cadences. The lack of expressions added to this and the animations was so uncanny valley that it looked tacky in some scenes.
Honestly I liked the 2019 version even if there was flaws in expressing emotion on more realistic animal character compared to the animated version. Simple showing and baring of teeth for anger, ears pin back and eyes blown wide for fear, and audible purring for happiness would have been nice to show believable non human emotions. But overall it’s enjoyable and the CGI is beautiful and eye catching.
When Scar rose to be king, the entire pride was wounded by the loss of two of their pride. They were weakened by the emotional fallout, and in that state, having hyenas in the pridelands became the new normal. Having lost two of their pride, the might have felt a desperation to rally around all the remaining members of the pack (including the unpalatable Scar).
My feelings on the 2019 version of the Lion King are, basically, it was unnecessary. It's the exact same story, just done worse. The realistic animation took away from the expressiveness that the original characters had and thereby left me unable to connect with the characters as much as I did when I was younger. It just wasn't good in my opinion.
I thought the 2019 remake was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing will ever compare to the original 1994 film, but I loved this movie for what it was and it was amazing. ❤️
I saw the live-action Lion King on my birthday, and honestly, it was Awesome!!! Okay, sure, the original will always be better, but I really enjoyed it as much as the original. It’s my most favorite Disney remake on top of Cinderella, Jungle Book, and Aladdin.🦁🐗🐞🐛🦋🦒🐘🦓🌴🦏🦛🐍🦍🐪🐆🐊🦜🦎🌅
Thank you so much for posting these theories. I am so glad I found your channel. I do have one tiny little question of my own that I'd love to hear your thoughts on, and that is What if Shenzi took Timon's proposal seriously and said yes? I know it's just a goofy little side gag, but I figured if anyone could come up with a long what if story, you'd be it.
In my opinion, the reason that the lionesses didn't fight back is because Scar was the only make that we know of so, even though the females are pretty powerful and definitely strong enough to stand on their own, they usually feel the need to have a big strong Male lion as head of the pack or be the alpha male. So, with Scar being the only Male in their pack, they wouldn't fight him or do anything to him strictly because they felt they needed an alpha male for protection. But again, that's just my thoughts on this. Great video by the way. I loved hearing a different version of different side to these stories. Hearing more background on these characters as well, so, thank you for making and sharing this with us.

Another great video! I would love to see a video on Kovu's childhood. After he became friends with Kiara. Hope to see a video like that in the future! 😄
After scar murdered his older brother mufasa, scar became the next king of the pride lands for under the lifespan of 6 years, the lionesses were outnumbered and were intimidated by scar and his hyenas, this persuaded nala to go out to the jungle, attempting to find simba which was successful, nala was then able to convince simba to return to the pride lands to take his rightful place as king, but before simba returned, the lionesses had no other choice but to remain loyal and respectful to scar and to obey all of his orders. Scar was murdered by his own hyenas because of his constant lying and betrayal and because he blamed the hyenas for mufasa’s death knowing that he was the one responsible for mufasa’s death, the hyenas were only responsible for the huge stampede in the orders of their former king, scar. Simba took credit for scar’s death, simba pushed scar off the cliff as self defense, scar survived the fall but he didn’t survive his brutal demise by his own hyenas. Simba ended up becoming the next rightful king of the pride lands. Simba and nala had 3 children together in total, kopa (former future king) and Kiara (current queen) and kion (current leader of the lion guard) from the lion guard, kion is the current leader of the lion guard, after his parental great uncle, scar who was not a good lion guard leader at all. And also If it wasn’t for nala, then scar probably would’ve still been king, he would’ve still been alive, and all of their future’s definitely would’ve been much different and probably more dark as well, and simba probably would’ve never returned to the pride lands to take his place as the next rightful king without nala’s help and persuading.

I think this whole Murder Mufasa thing coulda been avoided entirely had Mufasa had not only a DAUGHTER (first born), but for that to be Kiara (who we all know full well, if that movie of hers is anything to go by-) woulda been very down or easily charmed by him - if not outright hit on him to begin with. Making it only way too easy for Scar to simply marry/mate w her and become king legally (making his brother also his father in law... Scar teasing his brother by calling him "Daddy" >:-3 / he would and you know it) but also I think w her pure heart might've influenced him too, helping him to be a better man/lion and even making peace w the Hyenas (in a non-dictatorship sort of way-?) So in a sick and twisted way, Mufasa did end up dying not only cause obv Scar, but also just by Simba being born at the wrong time/gender. Perhaps why he didn't go to the whole Christening cause the moment he heard it was a _male_ not a girl, he had zero interest in getting emotionally attached. (Unlike if again, it was a girl {tho specifically Kiara, but he wouldn't know that bit/why it's important})
Reason #1 He was the rightful heir after simba and mufasa gone Reason #2 He was backed up by the hyenas, whose numbers are probably equal to the lioness or more Reason #3 He did rape most of the lioness. The leader of the pack is alpha male, and he gets to mate with anyone.

kristian schuff well, while I don’t disagree with you about civil war, I will disagree with you on the fact that “the people” elected him. He did not win the popular vote, only the electoral. And many of those who did vote for him, were lied to, and continue to believe the lies. Scar lied to his supporters by making promises that benefited them, just as Trump did. And for both their supporters, did they keep their promise? Scar also said Simba killed Mufasa. So, to many lionesses, supporting Simba would mean that you support the destruction of the pride lands. So those who continued believing the lies, even after the truth was told to them, fought back, were sentenced to banishment, and then fought again - civil war. Just as you said.
@@UmmYeahOk trump won more counties if went by popular vote states like New York and California would run if everything due their high population and no one would pay attention to the smaller states
kristian schuff counties don’t matter. I live in TX where there are 254 counties. Most of them are rural. If we based elections on counties, then Farmer Cletus who barely made it out of high school, would have more power in the outcome then a county with multiple educated and informed voters. So we have electoral colleges to prevent this. Why should Wyoming have equal or more say in our countries future than states that have insanely more people? That’s like saying everyone in the office wants pizza, but that one single person does not, so everyone must have salad instead, because somehow it’s not fair for that one person. This topic is no longer about the Lion King, but I ask you, in these past three years, what has the man done for you? Has his administration done anything at all to make your life mildly better? If Hillary had done ANYTHING, any ONE thing, that this man has done, there would be riots in the streets, people with torches and pitchforks, assassination attempts, investigations... ...but you know something? I would WANT investigations. I would want them to prove she was innocent. And if she wasn’t, I would want to know. The people deserve to know! It down right ticks me off that people would rather root for their team, rather than make the game better. People on both sides need to put their country before their party. The very fact that people would rather watch the pride lands burn, because they refuse to let the other side regain power just shows how selfish and unpatriotic they are. Scar literally told everyone the he lied, he killed Mufasa, and STILL some lionesses (at least in the sequel) supported him. You know what “covfefe” really means? It’s Swahili for “I killed Mufasa.”
Lps sugar Cake Sarabi suggested to Scar that the pride move from under Scar's rule. Scar blocked them from moving by killing all the herds during the famine, they were weakened and couldn't find food.
I thought that it would have been a great idea if Disney added the deleted scene of Nala becoming Scars queen in the new lion king instead of going the hamlet way.
Hyenas have a bite strength that's almost double that of lions, and are one of the few African land animals that can snap bone in a single bite. Lionesses are definitely better fighters but they are likely to loose and leg in the fight.
You can actually tie this back to IRL. Hyenas are notorious for attacking lionesses once the lionesses have spent their energy hunting prey. There are videos here on youtube of hyenas wrecking lionesses in these conditions. Likewise, these videos usually show what happens when the lion or lions in charge of the pride arrive, which is the hyenas running for the hills. Very literally, the lion is king. Even crocodiles respect lions (also in videos found here on this site). The very fact that the lionesses in Lion King didn't have a lion willing to protect them from the hyenas was enough to keep them at bay. If not for the hyenas, the lionesses likely would have (if we're combining IRL with the movie(s)) overthrown Scar. Lionesses are absolutely capable, as a group, of taking out their lion if they feel he's an inefficient protector.
Imagine if Simba did not come back had Nala not left every animal on pride rock would've perished the hyenas would've left starving & Scar would've been the king with no subjects. He would've been the king of nothing with only a pack of scavengers to keep him company.

Plus, if they could go against them they wouldn't have sent Nala out of the pride lands for help.
Actually in both movies Nala left on her own without permission of the other females
@@cynthia4lyfe103 in the deleted scene she was given the choice of banishment or mated to Scar and chose banishment
Yeah
I like how Zazu exiled himself from the kingdom rather than serve under Scar
There are definitely a few things I didn’t like, the realism shouldn’t of been a thing, part of the charm of the original film was the facial expressions and the body language of it, the realism limits the remake when it comes to the more bizarre scenes, which is something I did not like. Also, I feel like the designs were lacking, the lions looked too similar, Scar didn’t look like scar, and Timon looked... well not good. There aren’t any deal breakers in the movie, it is ok or maybe even decent, but when you place it next to the original film, the remake is a microwave dinner next to an expensive steak.
I just figured it was because Disney set up the pride lands as a European monarchy rather than a real lion pride. Along the lines of Hamlet.

Oh Scar, he had no control over the drought that ended immediately after his death.
It was almost comical to me. I know that it symbolizes the timed healing of the lands and all, but imagine being such an unlikable, incompetent loser, EVERYTHING goes back to sunshine and rainbows the day you die. XD
The transformation from desolate wasteland to the living land was a fast forward in time.
@@ARedMagicMarker Technically it took months after Scar died for the pride lands to return to its former self
ua-cam.com/video/urLwdFsAXks/v-deo.html this explains why their was a drought and why all the animals left the pride lands it was basically the kings of the past who cursed and created the drought not scar
Maybe they were scared because there were too many hyenas my thoughts exactly
Aldo Aviles Exactly what I just said. There were only 7 to 8 lionesses and nearly a hundred hyenas. Now, if Zira and her lionesses were there, they might have supported Sarabi, Nala, Sarafina & the other pridelander lionesses.
Then why were they not scared when Simba returned?
@@smirkfanta5535 The hyenas ran away.
That still doesn't prove my point
As far as they knew, Scar was the rightful ruler of the pride lands. I love Simba’s honesty when when Scar presses him about the death of Mufasa-he believed he was responsible and was willing to accept the consequences-until, of course, he found out he was actually innocent.
Do Atlantis next for kida and her story
Eric Buckner Nice one!
I think it's heresy that she isn't an official princess
I was asking exactly this. If they are based on East African Lions (forgive me I don't remember the specifics and haven't watched this video in it's entirety yet) the lionesses are more than capable of overpowering Scar. I just don't think they'd have any other lion that would be able to rule over them. No coalitions are present. Who knows?
1) They were outnumbered by the hyenas, who backed Scar
2) There was no other male lion to take over from him
3) Lack of food probably affected their energy
All that changed when Simba showed up. A peak male lion could fight off more hyenas (like Mufasa did), there was someone to take over, and even though they were all famished, the morale was boosted and there was something to look forward to after Scar was gone.
The same reason the ants in "A Bug's Life" didn't fight back against Hopper sooner: they were scared away from the knowledge of their true potential
Exactly, I'm glad someone pointed that out!
Please do a theory on other cubs of Pridelands...I mean why dont' we see them when they were in the prideland as per Mufasa...Later even in Simba's pride, there was no cub in pridelands other than Kiara....

Maybe the lionesses were outnumbered by scar and his hyenas and decided to obey scar’s orders until simba came for his place as king.
God Savage Red Lion They didn't know Simba was alive so he was the only male to be the rightful king
No. They thought Simba was dead.
Real lionesses do would overthrow
You know Lioness irl will fight the dominant male(s) if there is not a lot of food I mean MatPat made a video about something like this but the title of the video was Why Scar is the RIGHTFUL heir or something like that I don’t really remember so yeah.
He knows if he's literally asking the question why didn't the lionesses overthrow scar, he knows they do this IRL.
The way I see it, it's not that they wouldn't even at the cost of disrespecting their king, but they were afraid to. Not because Scar is intimidating, but they (With the exception of Zira's cult.) also know how smart he is. My evidence is as follows:
In the beginning long after circle of life, Scar makes a remark about Mufasa coming from on high to visit the common folk.
I understand.
I think it was because, turning up againts the King would have been forbidened unless they had a good reason just like they had when Scar told the truth about Mufasa's murder

I also found the bit about the lionesses standing by their holy land rather interesting, as lionesses in nature permanently consist the pride, while young males leave the pride when they come of age, the females are the ones that remain in the pride for life from cub-hood.
The part where Timon sings Be Our Guest was comedy gold!
Your jokeing right? because I would love to see that!
"Our job is to protect the pride lands" proceeds to watch it get destroyed and all life get killed off
You’re right.

The remake was flat and the lionesses should've done something to overthrow scar and restore order in the pride lands
Dude its a movie meant to make even the most unrealistic outcomes possible to create entertainment and fluidity of the plot

I’m going to Chicago for my golden bc

Scar teasing his brother by calling him "Daddy" >:-3 / he would and you know it) but also I think w her pure heart might've influenced him too, helping him to be a better man/lion and even making peace w the Hyenas (in a non-dictatorship sort of way-?)
So in a sick and twisted way, Mufasa did end up dying not only cause obv Scar, but also just by Simba being born at the wrong time/gender. Perhaps why he didn't go to the whole Christening cause the moment he heard it was a _male_ not a girl, he had zero interest in getting emotionally attached. (Unlike if again, it was a girl {tho specifically Kiara, but he wouldn't know that bit/why it's important})
Reason #1
He was the rightful heir after simba and mufasa gone
Reason #2
He was backed up by the hyenas, whose numbers are probably equal to the lioness or more
Reason #3
He did rape most of the lioness. The leader of the pack is alpha male, and he gets to mate with anyone.

"Why did the lionesses not overthrow Scar?" The same reason a certain someone remains president.
Nah the people elected trump trying to impeach will lead to civil war
kristian schuff well, while I don’t disagree with you about civil war, I will disagree with you on the fact that “the people” elected him.
