When I saw the huge lines of pretty standard Cartel items costing +200mil I remembered exactly why I stopped playing SWTOR.
It wasn't because of the inflation, I just remember the inflation being around when I got sick of the story going back to the tedious Republic vs. Empire stuff.

They created a society that is stable but devoid of choice. "Someone had a dream I have to kill myself for a peace thousand years from now? OK!" No hesitation, no critical thought, no effort to find another way to achieve the same result. Whichever side gets them in the end is not the winner.

runescape introduced a skill called "invention" where you destroy items to get components, which somewhat stabilized the economy.
so i guess there needs to be an item sink for swtor.

I got clickbaited into playing the game from the cinematics, and I still enjoyed it because my little mind just imagined it to be more EPIC.
I mean technically It gets pretty epic but you just have to be willing to stick with the game

5:46 macdaddymario gets it. KOTOR tricks you into playing dungeons and dragons and I'm about it.
KOTOR 2 is a dating/cult sim (and is the best of TOR series imo). Just so well-written. If you find the combat boring ratchet up the difficulty until you literally cannot progress without micromanaging your entire party and using all your items. The 1v1 with Vrook in KOTOR 2 I had to cheese with mines at the highest difficulty, because I hadn't built my character right.
