Very helpful! Thanks and enjoy your gardening!
Thank you for this. I just used a 5”/64 Allen wrench
I am a former (now retired) Chief Operating Officer at The Lampo Group, Dave Ramsey’s company, and just fixed my Vitamix. Thank you!
You are welcome.
Our Vitamix 2200 purchased in 1969 is still working as it did on day one. Vitamix is built to last. the Vitamix 5200 is well built and should last you a life time.
My 7+ year old 2-speed Vitamix was smelling burnt, slowing down, if it remained on at all, and gave off spark sounds. I saw your video then took it apart, got some sandpaper and cleaned the gunk off the armature and tried to clean off the wound wire high up in that tight area up top, blew it out with my compressor , plugged it in and crossed my fingers. Long story short, I don't have to run to Costco for a new one now, I guess it just needed a good cleaning. it runs great, for how much longer, who knows. Thanks for the inspiration, it saved me $300!
Any time
Very helpful video! Exactly what I was looking for. My VM speed adjustment works again. Thx.
Great video Tom & Sara!
the set screw Allen wrench size at 3:00 is 2mm
Wow. Thanks for the info might help someday
great video thank you
Sometimes on well used machines, the brush assemblies (2) need to be replaced, you can get a cheap kit directly from vitamix, and there are videos showing the procedure, pretty easy..as well as the switches.. I’ve never heard of one just needing a cleaning though..sounds like you may have worn brushes, and knocking it around, during the cleaning process, may have been enough movement to reseat the brushes..
Wowww nice that's what I'm talking about ! Love saving money
In case the variable switch on the Vitamix gives you problems, I just fixed mine with a little spray of WD40 into the holes on the back of the switch and some gentle rotating of the switch. I had to disassemble as per your example to get to the switch. I hope this tip helps someone else too
Thanks for the tip!
Did you have to take the switch apart or did you just spray it in the hole.
Worked good help
Thanks.
A VitaMix is a necessity in my house. In the long run, it saves you more than it costs.
100%
Thank
Thank you for your insight!
It was fun
Vitamix gives you credit on old broken blender
Never mind 9 years. My vitamix quit after just 7 minutes....what do I do now?
Did you buy it at Costco? If so they will take it back.
@@IronArrowsHomestead No, Amazon, paid over $600.
You can request a refund from Amazon. If it has been too long then reach out to the company I know they will help you.
@@tenoregermania What did you do. They have a 7 year warranty.
