Great to hear your doing well. Do you still recommend U.S. Career Institute for Medical Assisting?

Exactly to previous comment I have been following a video trail up until here but not really in one she mentions if she is getting all these jobs just with the medical assistant certification. Like I am so confused. I am trying to figure out if I want to go to US Career Institute but I’m not getting the info I need

From what I gather, USCI is the cheapest online program that is DEAC nationally accredited and approved for nha ccma certification. The only problem is there is no externship so we would have to volunteer some place to get hands on training and practice. Most employers train mas on the job as well. Mas are usually not regulated by the state government. Ma schooling is usually expensive, I've seen around 20 grand. I'm low income and single parent so I'm in need of an online affordable program that can be completed quickly. I graduated from USCI in the criminal justice certificate program in 2022 and I have no complaints. If you put your mind to it you can do anything. Bettering yourself is always great. While taking the program you can practice on friends and family members. Mas make decent money in California, around 35 grand a year depending. My sister is a nurse and makes 35 an hour and she is helping me with my health career journey. I've scoured the internet searching for the best, cheapest and quickest health care programs and it appears USCI is the best option. Good luck and God bless.

I have not worked as a medical assistant since 2021. I did get a job as an MA after the USCI program, but after I graduated with my bachelors I switched gears and used my bachelors degree to get a job.
Everything you said @josephb4086 is correct. USCI is a great school to go with if you want the certification quickly, but there is NO hands on training at all. If you are a person who needs that hands on experience to feel confident at something, I do not recommend this fully online program. If you are okay with not having any hands on training then it is fine.
It is also important to note that the CCMA through NHA is not the most widely recognized certification. The CMA certification through AAMA is the most widely recognized certification. Before making a decision, you should check local job postings to see which certification clinics in your area require. Some will only accept CMA, some will accept the CCMA. It depends on location. I hope this helps.

In addition to this some jobs require experience while some will accept you with none. This is another factor to take into consideration given that after the USCI program you will not have any experience. This could potentially affect your ability to find employment and may require that you go find an internship.
