I like the Strong App for making my own workouts. I have a back/bis; chest/tris and legs. I have a gym template and a home template. The home workout uses dumbbells and bands. The gym workout uses machines. So, if I can’t make it to the gym, I do the home workout. I do find the app easier to use on the phone. I like that I use the Strong App on my phone and I manage my Spotify on my watch.
Great video. That NFC chip tip is a great one. I’d like to know more about the Hevy & Strong. Which one would you recommend? Also, a video would be great. There’s not too much video content on weightlifting tracking.
I enjoy heavy because of the Apple Watch UI. I was going to make one but the new Apple Watch OS 9 that is releasing this fall has so many new features. A lot more strength training tech and app videos coming august. Thank you

There are still some features missing that require me to bounce back between my notes and the app. For example, I'd love to add pictures and videos to my custom exercises. But, it seems to be the best from what I've examined so far. Also, since you're doing hacks. Have you looked into integrating the Shortcut apps into your workouts? I have stringed together a bunch of stuff to smoothly get my workout workflow going.

Hello everything is fine? When you select an activity as strength training on the Apple Watch, are the calories already estimated considering the interval without having to pause at each rest interval? Or do you not have it? Can you tell me?
sounds like too much of a hassle to use it for lifting guess I will stay with the Garmin (I have a Fitbit but you literally have to write each exercise down and scan it into to make notations so you can go back to remember what you did last week , last month, or a year ago when it is easy to put the exercises in on Garmin plus they seem to be able to figure out what exercise you are doing ....... Are there any trackers better Apple seems to center around Cardio Only which is a great way of causing a lot of unnecessary cortisol helping you keep that gut.
I tried this on multiple machines and it always fails. Not sure if the machines are busted or what, but it always just says e.g. "start a workout on the treadmill" and then does nothing. The icon on the machine shows it's connected, but it never starts any workouts and manually starting one on the treadmill doesn't do anything either.
If I was getting one for myself on a budget I would get the latest Apple Watch SE. If I had the extra money to splurge. The Ultra. Hope this helps Josh

Volt is a great app as well. Unfortunately doesn't have an Apple Watch version.

Strong is really nice. Hevy is also good. However upon using both for a while now, i find Gymaholic a good option too.

My go to watch for fitness is a Garmin Epix 2. still prefer it over an Apple Watch Ultra. In my opinion, respectfully haha
