Hello Oli and Vern and Tacia, thank you for your great narration. I really enjoyed this video, it brought back fond memories of my 10 years living in the area. I worked for Valhalla Lodge on Sixmile Lake and I used to drive across the lake with my 4x4 all the way to Iliamna to shop at the store. You did have a very good time fishing there. One of my favorite things is going through Lake Clark Pass. It is one of my most favorite areas in Alaska. Thanks for sharing.

That is quite a trip in the Plane. How many times you seen SABAE , ( Hairy Man, Keeper of the Woods, GATEKEEPERS, Spirits of the Forests,, Big Foot, Sasquatch ) ?? You must see some awesome sights up that high above the trees. We got them right here in New Hampshire USA up in the White Mountains, and in Massachusetts USA, Vermont, Maine, just about everywhere, folks having all kinds of Encounters... Though Encounters with other things that I'm not ready to talk about.... 😮
Those are some beautiful fish.. Going to be Delicious Im sure.. Though that darn water is moving Really Really fast, I'd be wearing a PFD, just in case if ypu ever slip off those rocks, if you dont have some kind of flotation device on, you might be a goner.. Stay Safe, Enjoy ..( Those Grizzlies dont look like too much fun either,, lol. )
John you are right , we should have brought PFD , the water looks inviting to jump in especially when it was hot during the day , but it is quite cold ! Bears were busy with fish and really didn’t bother us , but had to be alert
Hi Oli and Tacia- I do like your new intro to your videos. It looks like you and Vern had a Beautiful quick trip to Iliamna and New Halen. I was a little concerned when I saw all those bears and you guys were fishing but all was well, and you were able to take home some fish. I do have a question for you Tacia, I never really see you go on a lot of those trips with Oli in the plane, are you afraid of heights? Thank you for sharing another beautiful video of Alaska! Hi Christine, this is Tacia... and how did you know? LOL... I am not very comfortable when in the air, even the big planes. Ever since I had all my babies I struggle with flying and feel much better when my feet are on the ground. I have gone in the plane a few times and Oli thinks I would LOVE the community feeling of Port Alsworth and Iliamna but I just think about our girls and grandbaby. Thank you for asking, maybe sometime I will get over my silly fear. Funny thing... I am also extremely afraid of bears... part of the reason we are turning the camper into a cabin on wheels. Oli is very patient with me for sure.
@@NORDLAND49 Hi Tacia, I do understand, lol. The part in the video where there were 4 bears had me a little concerned as well, lol. As for the flying, I like bigger planes better than the smaller ones, for me I feel that they are lighter weight but doesn't mean I might not try one day. I think the camper will make your travels even more fun so that if you should see a bear, you both will have that to go into if need be. Also, Port Alsworth is pretty, my daughter at times watches Salina Alsworth's channel, she likes that they have a Lake resort. Enjoy the rest of your week!
