I have the same issue with the screen stuck on the GE logo. Did replacing the screen fix the issue for you? It’s a $350 part and was hoping to have some confidence before taking the chance.
I did not have to replace the screen yet. I need to get behind it for another repair that I can't even remember what it was. Try looking up screen diagnosis for the unit here on youtube. good luck.
It's a tight slide up to uncover and then getting it close to slide it back in. Not easy and need to have patience to repair anything behind this cover
To add, the motor duct door (similar to Solenoid) gave out after 2 years of use (ice door wouldn't open and shut properly) and I needed a way to open the cover. So Big Thank You!
Thank you very much!! The duct motor on mine broke and your video was very helpful.
Thanks man. I wish appliances were made to last more than 3 years these days.
Thank you, exactly what i was looking for!
THANKS. Exactly what I needed to know!
Thanks! This was helpful.
How did you press those down?
Thanks - if removed will I be able to get to the clear plastic to clean the build up around water dispenser
Yes it gives you access to take it all apart to clean it.

Where is the freezer controls?
Touch screen temperature and select freezer
I noticed that GE doesnt help much when you have problems.... My icemaker works but the ice flap will not open, any ideas?
Hi Wendy, you can access the dispenser thru the panel using a quarter in socket. You should be able to see why it is jammed.
@@warrenhouse5529 Ice flap has a little drive motor
My screen options for coffee size comes up but won’t let me select the size, I tried rebooting it, still the same! Any ideas?
Sorry Cat I don't know the answer. Keep searching and hopefully you can find it.
I now have same problem cmon ge
Perfect thanks!
Would have been great if you showed how to actually get it off
I did, you press the tabs down that I pointed to. I used an old drivers license to get in there.
We figured how to get it off, but now can’t get it on. Was it easy for you?
You have to play with it a bit. Wiggle it to get around the knob and set the bottom in first then just snap it back in.
I'm still having a issue with taking the face plate off.
Thank you!!!
