Thanks man We bought a brand new fridge like this and the duct spring near the motor was not installed properly. It was facing a downward position and it forced the duct to stay open as it wedged itself from allowing it to close. I looked around for 2 days trying to figure out what the issue was Your breakdown of how disassemble and reassemble it made me see the fault. Thanks again man!
Because of this video, I was able to replace the ice dispenser duct door motor myself and saved hundreds of dollars on a service call. Thank you!
Nice job fixing it yourself! What types of symptoms did your refrigerator have when the motor failed?
The ice dispenser flap would not open. When I replaced the motor the flap functioned properly.
Thanks man

Thank you! What kind of problem are you having with your duct door motor?
I don’t have the Philips screws to remove the cover and don’t see how to remove the cover
I figured it out...the cover is pried off from the left side using a putty knife or some sort of thin prying device.
