This is beautiful! Just picked up a massive piece of manzanita wood from my lfs for my 230 gallon (870 Liter). Cant wait to get started on it! Have you tried black or brown cyanoacrylate? Would eliminate the need to crush soil to hide the glue.
It is $20 for 2 ounces of it on Amazon in the US. I'm sure you could find it cheaper in store somewhere. I just wanted to try it out, but I don't do anywhere close to the amount of scaping as you guys do.

To be fair I didn't know it existed we will keep our eyes open but sounds like it would be more expensive.
