Sorry to hear that your recovery is taking so much time. I pray that improvement comes quickly. I will be fun to see your videos and photos with the super camera when you are able to get them going. Thanks for the update.

@@Jdilpkle It's just good to hear your voice and see what you are up too Joe, it doesn't need to be fancy.

Good evening, Joe, it was a nice surprise to see that you posted a video when I woke up. I didn't watch it until I had my cup of coffee in hand. Keurig coffees are great for that quick cup of coffee, I mostly do the old-style Mr. Coffee style brewing for my coffee pleasure. I had a big toe surgery years ago, no metal plate like you, but yes foot surgery is incredibly painful, I was living on the couch too, it was easier to keep my foot up and not to wake up the wife at the time. Time to reflect is good for a man and put the future into perspective. Change is inevitable as we age, and as time rushes past. It was so great to see you, Joe. Thank you for the Video. God Bless.

Hi Joe. I hope the healing goes well. I also hope you can return to motorcycling at some stage as I feel it is a passion for you.
I was interested to learn that you turn 70 next April (as do I).
I also own and still ride a BMW R100RS, mine is a 1989 which I bought new when I was 34 years old, now at almost 70, I fined the riding position very difficult and hard on my aging wrists and elbow.
Interestingly I also own a Suzuki 650 however mine is a Suzuki SV 650 ( I believe it is the older cousin of your Vstrom, same motor gearbox but a more road orientated style.
Anyway keep up yours spirits and faith and eventual all will be well
    God bless and best wishes.
    Bob (From Auuckland NZ).

@@BobLaycock-cj2ok Hello Bob! What a pleasure to receive your post. I was with my foot in the air watching classic car UA-cam channels when I saw your post. I concur with the RS riding position, which has been a sore point from day one. The wrist load and the deafening wind noise has brought me to the point of selling more than once. I’m going to have to get the transmission sent out eventually for rebuild and get things buttoned up. It’s a joy to ride mostly for its uniqueness, not for comfort and convenience for sure. I’ve ridden since 1974 and now turning 70, I know I’m eventually needing to rethink and reevaluate how long I want to be on the roads in traffic putting myself more and more harms way as attitudes and attention span of other drivers decline. I know that if I came off at speed, my 70 year old bones wouldn’t take the shock as well as my 20 or 30 year old bones would have. It’s a decision that will need to be made, but getting on a bike in the early morning and going for nice coffee just delays the inevitable.
In the meantime, I’m looking for at least a semi functional foot and then go from there. I’m pleased to have received your comment as I was needing something or someone to stir the brain cells. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to share about you and your RS. Hope to hear from you again soon. All the very best. Joe
