They should have given us information about Mumba who bravely went to find help, did he reunite with the people he saved? He was a brave hero, could have been attacked by wild animals!😮
This crash happened in 1987 and this show came out in 2010. Mumba could have died at anytime between that. I couldn't find his date of death anywhere. IF THIS PROGRAM TOLD US WHEN HE DIED, I'm sure we would be focusing more on the 3 men who battled their horrific injuries. (Graham Child passed away in 2016 btw)

He is, I guess you do what you must to survive.
I broke my back and got up and was running, I went to the hospital the next day because I was in so much pain.
I left 6 hours later and haven’t been back since.

It's amazing adam was able to survive that long with a severed spinal cord. When your spine is severed you go into spinal shock. I was in the hospital and felt like i was dying couldn't stop vomiting and in so much pain even with meds.
I feel ya, I felt like the pain after major back surgery (5 fusions from T-10 to S-1) would kiII me. Seriously I found out later that the pain meds they were giving me, I don't metabolize well. Of course the Dr wrote me off as a drug seeker. 😳🤦♀️ Sure because having tears running down my face for almost 2 weeks is normal and it's fine these days to make people suffer in the worst possible way when they have other meds to relieve your pain. I think I have medical PTSD from 2 weeks of hell on earth. Sorry you know what i mean too. ❤
@@metalmamasue3680 My brother has extreme back pain, and has for well over half his life. Most pain meds, even steroid injections and morphine, do next to nothing for him. I'm sorry you are going through something similar. You both have my Love and prayers.

This rescue was breathtaking. Definite Divine intervention. Not only should all of these people be dead, but if they did live, they should not have been intact. Just amazing. What a miracle. I'm very sad for the brave, sweet man who went to get help, though. I wished he'd lived much longer.

12:21 alright so just now crash and surveyed the situation.please for the love tell me they 1. Wait a bit have the uninsured guy go check for medical supplies on the plane. 2. Collect an ember - all you literally need is one though I I don’t know what kind of timber,shrubbery , etc is a in the area but assuming they’ll be there 1 night you’re likely risking certain death at night no fire with apex predators 3. Get something shiny to each person to reflect as well as a small vessel to collect rain water to have on hand as it could only be quick and everyone looks immobile. Be seen. Be bright. Fire or shiny. 4. Basically immediately the healthy fella climb some sort of high peak given this seemed like plain territory. The last thing you wanna do is go the wrong way.

I don't believe them honestly I think Mumba got killed or died looking for help and they couldn't find him or probably didn't even search for him because they never said anything about looking for Mumba I believe he got lost in jungle and died they even said he was looking for help in the wrong direction but either way it's sad how everything played out but I don't believe Mumba found a village not in all of that land to walk or if he did find a village they probably killed him

What's PTSD? Isn't it just worrying about the past. They have done studies on people with PTSD from combat and people who suffered with addiction and all the things they have to go through and feel and the addicts brain is much worse
If Mumbai had got to a village to tell them three men were needing help, why did the helicopter crew say nobody could have survived the crash? They were surprised that there were survivors.

He must of been infuriating!! Any of the other 3 if could walk they would of got water, made shelter then gone for help STRAIGHT AWAY!! I would assume that the first thing to do in this situation is to build some sort of shelter to protect them from the sun and help protect from the cold during the night. Clean up the blood with the water from the stream would be a great idea too. The plane should have some sort of first aid kid with some stuff to help out as well. Always use a shiny object to be detected from up above and going out for help should be the last resort always.

Yes, I also wondered why he didn't look for something to cover their faces at least, even if it meant cutting the backs off their shirts so they could drape the fabric over their skin.
As for constructing a shelter for them. I suppose neither wanted to risk being moved, in case any broken bones pierced major arteries or led to permanent paralysis.
And there may not have been anything with which to make a shelter from. Trees looked sparse, and difficult to cut. The men were only out there for a day trip and it's likely that survival blanket was the only sheet of anything on the whole aircraft.
Shame about Mumba dying afterwards.
I always wonder these things, but in survival scenarios sometimes you don't have time or the capacity to think logically or rationally. I always wonder why they don't try and use debris or something to mark a trail of where they've been to find their way back

Why is everyone here making a hero out of Dumbo? He went the wrong direction for two days and didn't find the village until a day after the rescue. They would have died depending on him.

I'm not sure I understand why an experienced pilot in good weather, who knew the area, would crash like that...
They explained why. Something with the rock wall that they were flying by caused some sort of trap in the air. It trapped the plane and caused the pilot to lose control.

I've just had to pause the video he is now climbing the ridge to have a look to see what he can see from the higher ground why didn't they black guy do that in the first place they would have known then and why didn't they make a fire set fire to the plane try and make signal instead of sending that guy out.
The plane would have exploded with all the fuel and incinerated the injured men that couldn't move away. Weren't you watching when they were in fear it would explode when they turned the radio on?

Momba did go for help first, he was supposed to be a local familiar with the area and was the least injured.
I have NEVER seen such a bad film director than the guy who makes those documentaries films, the actors are not good and the script is BAD in all the documentaries about Shouldn't be Alive the actors in all those documentaries are nonstop MOAN LOUDLY like in a BOLD P movie
