Something that always bothered me is the house. It seems pretty well defined compared to the Simpsons, but there’s rooms we RARELY get to see. The piano room and the sun porch come to mind

The reason Joe stood up after falling down the mountain was because the joke was the fall unparalyzed him and then his son ended up falling into him and reparalyzed him.

As someone with a disabled father, the “Joe lied for benefits” theory is so funny when I know how little my dad actually gets from the government and how a lot of people still need a job to make ends meet anyway

Yeah I'm applying for it now and not only is it subpar once you get it, the government makes it excruciating to actually sign up for disability (I assume purposely). So much paperwork that's basically the same damn questions over and over, not to mention the acceptance rate is only 25% to my knowledge. It takes some people YEARS.
I think it only benefits the ones who are faking bcs they don’t have the extra bills you guys have to pay to get the care that’s needed
People also forget a lot of wheelchair users CAN temporarily stand or stretch themselves (there was a video of someone in a supermarket getting dunked on by commentators a while back) if necessary, its just painful for them to do that for any extended amount of time.

I always just kind of assumed that every family guy episode is just kind of stand alone for the most part. They contradict stuff all the time and so many episodes end with characters in absolutely terrible situations and then everything is normal next week

i once did an art project on the griffin house and one thing they contradict a lot is the damn house. i think over the years they’ve either forgotten or just don’t care about the actual layout of the house. especially the sun porch and piano room.
That's fair but if that's the case it makes it hard to care about the forced emotional moments. I can't really care about these characters if I know they're going to be different people who do whatever tomorrow. That's probably why it's better when it just focuses on comedy rather than when they put emotional music and zoom in on a character's face while they say something shallow.

I don’t know if you mention it but for the “Meg is Stewie’s Mother” theory, a huge contradiction is the reverse time episode, where time starts accelerating backwards to stewie’s birth. We see that yeah lois IS his birth mother, and brian is also another viewpoint so it removes Stewie’s possible bias.

The Lost episode is likely “partial terms of endearment” from season 8 I think. Episode was about Lois making the decision to terminate her surrogate pregnancy after the surrogate parents die in an accident, I think the heavy subject matter lead to it being pulled from air and it’s only available in select media

The Diane thing didn't even make sense. Her replacement would be about the same age as her, since Lois and Joyce went to high school together, and Lois is in her 40's. So, they replaced Diane for nothing.
Brian died 10 years ago? Blimey, time flies. I know when it happened, the fan base was very angry and sent abusive messages to the office. McFlaren said that he was grew tired of voicing Brian, because he was ''too many''....but they brought him back to a huge demand from the fans
Nothing to do with fans, although they probably did appreciate the love for the character. They were pretty cheeky about saying after the fact they were always going to bring him back. It was just a marketing stunt, and i remember some fans being genuinely upset about that.

27:24 Peter actually brings up in the episode the fact that Joe said he lost the use of his legs after fighting the grinch, but then Joe explains that he lied because he was embarrassed that he allowed a dangerous criminal to get away.
What's weird is we've seen every major character's family, except for Bonnie's. After over two decades, we know absolutely nothing about her parents/siblings/relatives! All we know is she was a stripper, and affiliated with some gang/cartel activity via illegal drugs.

In fairness to Joe, sometimes disabled people get sick of being asked questions all the time so we just starting making shit up., like telling the absolute wildest stories about the very real disability
Just want to say for Meg being stewies mother I don’t think it’s true because in the episode where Brian breaks the flow of time stewie is rebirthed from Lois or atleast almost with Lois being in the hospital bed.
Besides, there's the episode where Lois did pr0n and the pizza delivery actor looked a lot like Stewie.
the "what are you doing out of your box?" line from meg on the Meg Had A Baby part of the iceberg feels like a reference to the (then unsolved) case of The Boy In The Box

I like this video, and the iceberg is cool too. But, as a lifelong fan of family guy, there is SO MUCH more that could make the iceberg…..like I feel like so much is left out. And some of your coverage of the entires in general left out details, like you could mention that the “And then there were fewer” episode is a parody of a famous book. Just my two cents, overall good job for what was there.

Why does every show have a "everyones dead this whole time" theory or Pokemon's "ash is in a coma" theory or Rugrat's "the toddlers are dead and angelica is constantly taking acid" theory like this shits wayyyyy too prevalent for it to not be a coincidence.

Usually at some point a very popular movie/show/movie has an Unreliable Narrator that DID do that kind plot and everyone is impressed... and then copies it endlessly without the original skill or context. For example, while its not the first to do it, Saint Elsewhere popularized the Its All A Dream/In Someone's Head trope as its final episode.

The family guy lost episode portion might be referring to the original season 8 finale "partial terms of endearment"
Basically the episode was about Lois being a surrogate mother for one of her old friends from college, and when she goes through with it, her friend and the friends husband both die, so Peter and Lois try to decide if they should keep the baby or not
The episode was pulled from almost everywhere due to the whole theme of abortion along with several not so safe jokes. I believe after pulling the only two places it surfaced were the S8 family guy DVD and also Netflix for a brief period of time before it was pulled from there as well
There's absolutely no reason for it to have been banned. It was pretty tame compared to an episode feature Herpes Strewie, Stewie being pregnant with Brian's puppies, Anti-Vax Lois infecting the town, or Quagmire raping kids. If those episodes can be broadcast whenever, there's no reason the abortion episode can't.

I think most episodes are independent from other episodes as jokes. For example there was an episode said Peter’s ancestor was black, there was another episode says Peter’s great great grandfather’s Chinese. So I kinda see each episodes as an independent time line

I think nowadays they only kill off characters when their voice actors pass away, as sort of a retirement. This can be seen with Adam West (obviously), but also with Angela, who was voiced by Carrie Fisher. They wait a couple years after the actor's death to kill off the character because each episode takes about 10 months to produce. (Though that number comes from an old interview with Seth McFarlane, archived in 2011)
Another time Lois was unfaithful was when she spent a couple months with a new man, while Peter was doing his music career. Not the mention the fact that she has kissed a girl before. And tried to get with Justin Bieber.
She also made out with Meg’s (at the time) boyfriend
Lois having an affair was actually the plot of one of the earlier episodes. In the said episode their marriage almost comes to an end after Peter finds out Lois cheated on him with Bill Clinton. He forgave her after he, in the same episode, cheats on Lois with Bill Clinton.

The "last family guy episode" might be an SCP reference, SCP 5981 is about an anomalous family guy episode
Sounds like one of the poorly conceived reasons that the SCP fictional universe is so bad, now. Way too many "entries" added by inexperienced writers and storytellers that just suck cause they ruin the vibe of it or try too hard and sound silly/not scary. Lots of them sound like joke ideas and the ones that actually have good underlying concepts are usually over-written and done so poorly that it defiles them.
Probably sounds like I'm too invested in the subject, but hear me out... I think really it's that I have a passion for quality horror fiction and hate to see potential squandered. When the SCP thing started, it was actually so good for about a year or so - while the authors allowed to add to the canon were strictly limited. I had high hopes for where it might go, and then it ended up going to "the formless cesspit of the wider internet" and that turned it into a cartoon-y menagerie and that really bummed me out. :(

I was the reverse - I never liked Family Guy when I was younger, but as I got older, I loved it.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Joe’s parents, since they’ve both shown up in the show before.
there is also a theory that Family Guy after cancellation is a completely different universe. To prove this, the characters have changed significantly, as well as in episode 5 of season 10 of the series, when Stewie and Brian went to the universe of the first season, these two did not understand their so-called "prototypes" and did not even remember what would happen to them. I think this theory has a place in the Family Guy canon, and season 10 episode 5 is a subtle hint from Seth about it.

Meg can't be stewies' mom, in the episode "yug ylimaf" where Brian broke stewies' time machine and made everything go backwards, we see stewies' birth (not from his perspective) and the one giving birth to him is in fact lois
for the meg is pregnant part, theres a episode where shes about to get married however peter scares the guy off, and she starts crying saying shes pregnant, however it turns it she was lying just to marry him
I think the Nate Griffin story Peter told isn’t entirely true on account of being told by Peter himself. He only learns about his ancestry briefly at a library, and all he cared about was that he had black ancestry. I think he didn’t know the entire story of Nate’s life, so he added a plot himself, hence all the inserts of characters from the series like Joe (Joemama), Quagmire (Quagdingo), or African ancestors of Tom Tucker and Diane Simmons.

I got thru a few minutes. This reminds me of that Vtuber named "Lydia", I think, who complains that the reason Family Guy isn't good is that the characters aren't nice enough. Imagine being mad at Quagmire for being a snatch-hound. Yeah well he isn't anymore, and that's one of the reasons the show isn't good anymore. People who think this show has "lore" to analyze, I mean, alright. Analyze a Cormac McCarthy novel or something worthwhile

but there is literally a bathroom scene where lois is about to go to the bathroom and quagmire is spying on her,

I don’t think the theory that Joe is faking his disability has much weight. In a season 10 episode, Stewie erases Peter and his friend’s memories to test if Peter and Brian would really become friends if not under their current circumstances. Joe is still paralyzed in this scenario, which he wouldn’t have been if he was faking his disability since the memory of him faking his disability would’ve been erased. He’s also unaware of the various conditions he has as a result of his disability, such as his pee being in a bag.
When you say the season and episode number it doesn't match on screen I noticed towards the end
In regard to the final entry, I believe the lost episode they were referring to was the abortion episode, where Lois becomes a surrogate for a couple that can't have babies, but when they die she wants to abort the child. The episode then shows the arguments for both sides through Peter. However, the episode never aired on television for being controversial due to the subject of abortion. I believe it was released later as Family Guys Lost Episode.

I think its safe to say that the show has at least had a soft reboot in recent years, supporting the "Alternate realities" theory. They seem to have retconned most of their older stories (using the word retcon pretty loosely given we are discussing story development in fucking Family Guy), such as Peter and Lois getting married, which was originally told as a simple love over money story taking place in the late 60s, but that topic was later recycled and turned into an early 90s sitcom. God I hated that episode. It felt like none of the writers had ever seen the show before, as is the case with a lot of the newer episodes.
