3:00:22 I actually have a theory of what really happened to Rachel. She was sent to the Void. The Clayton short may have said she just moved away to go to college but I’m certain that was a false memory planted into the minds of the Wilson family so they wouldn’t think about why Rachel is gone. How do I know this? Simple. In the episode “The Void” it’s shown that any photos with people who’ve been erased simply remove them from the photo. And in the episode “The Upload” a picture of the Wilson family is shown and the wall, and Rachel isn’t there. Why would Rachel be erased from her family photos if she simply went to college? Also, in “the Void”, Mr. Small says the saying “gone the way of the dodo” despite Dodos already being in the Void. He’d only know this saying if Dodos weren’t erased from everyone’s memory, thus proving that those who’ve been sent to the Void might not be erased from everyone’s memory.
It's practically confirmed in the series now that you mention it. The creator made the decision to remove Rachel because she was "too bratty." I love that you did an iceberg video and on Gumball no less. I really hope you can do one on King of the Hill or Regular show someday, your videos on those shows are my favorites.
I don’t know why but I get so sad on TAWOG videos when I see comments like “I used to love this show” or “I haven’t watched it in a long time” because it doesn’t feel like this show is really that old. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t even 6 months old when it came out, or because I never realized how much I loved it throughout my childhood. I didn’t even realize that The Inquisition was the last episode (at the time) when I first watched it. But I am glad that there is still time left to enjoy new media of this show even after it (temporarily) ended.
One of the best CN cartoons I've ever watch. This gives thoughts....Did The Void also effect the show since season 1 which gave them different looks in the next season in-universe?
I dont think the void actually did that but just that ben and the team changed the designs cuz they looked better, but in-universe it could be the void
@@luckyperga Yeah I was talking about in-universe of the show which is like the similarity how DCAU art style change probaby a crisis happen off-screen.
i think this show is greatly underrated for the animation and comedy. i mean they have countless examples of 2D animation on live action, 3D, or CGI backgrounds or interactions and theyre done flawlessly
my idea of when gumball takes place is the year each season airs, with my explanation of why the characters don't age is like in saiki k, where each year continues, but nobody acknowledges how much time passes
I LOVE the last episode because its a huuuge fourth wall break. If you think about it, Rob just wanted to save everyone by transferring them to the real life human world (we see him turning Masami into a real-life human girl). He knew the void was coming and strangely enough, he knew that it does not reach the human world. I wonder how did he knew that our world was safe? Imo hes more aware of Tawog being a show than everybody else, also when hes in the void, he is not frozen off like the dark dino (i keep forgetting her name, sorry). That could be the reason why he doesnt forgets the void. But no idea how did he gain so much information of the human world... hes been through alot. I pity him :( Also the ending of the last episode literally means everyone in Elmore is gonna die, probably. But i hope that the movie is legit and gives Tawog a happy ending, along with Rob, he really deserves it. PS why didnt the video spoke of how Banana Barbara gained her creepy future visions by having a burnout at work? Its kind of dark how a normally funkcioning worker became mentally challenged because of how much her boss overwhelmed her. The OP used the clip of the exact moment her burnout happend but never adressing it in any way.
2:34:14 something else interesting abt this entry on the iceberg is the person who made that specific Nicole video is actually the same animator that did the gumball as anime animation on UA-cam
okay on the Gumrob thing I at least need to say cause I'm surprised you didn't mention it in that segment. they ABSOLUTELY play the nemesis dynamic like exes intentionally in the show and I think that's where a lot of people get the idea
@@bad_pilot13official why is it gross? you mean because they don't like each other? cause the enemies to lovers trope is VERY common and I would say a pretty tame fun idea when it comes to fiction.
I remember the old promos they had on Cartoon Network about Gumball Season 3's status quo changes, they marketed them as "mysteries of Elmore" and listed them off as file cases. It was kind of a cool concept, actually.
I think these videos are improving my attention span, started out with 30mins being long enough for now I want videos that are 2+ talking about anything I'm interested in. I think I might start reading again lol
Yo Jay. I'm clearing some stuff up. Pibby has Gumball and Darwin featured, with Gumball being taken by the void thingy, and Darwin not. Also, on Hulu, the "cut content", such as the Marvin scene and the shock collar, are in the show. Probably more but I'm only 2 hours in.
Turns out, they removed the scenes about a year or two ago, I remember watching those scenes a couple years ago. I also remember, at the end of The Love, Bobert actually getting infected instead of falling in love with a vacuum cleaner, though that might just be a false memory.
I watched every episode years ago and my brain must have been turned off just looking at the trippy animation styles, because i only knew like 5-7 of these, thank you for this
How did I know about every entry on this iceberg before watching it. But seriously, this is a great video and I could not even begin to imagine how much effort this took
The cal arts style thing never fails to piss me off. I could make a gif just like that with anime from the last ten years. It's called art movements/trends. You could do the same thing in the 90s with the "ugly" character designs on Nickelodeon and in the 80s with heroic muscle mann look of he man and gi Joe. Basically you can dismiss anyone who complains about the "cal arts look" as somebody who knows nothing about art and who is just mad at "woke" culture wars bullcrap.
I absolutely love Gumball and find it one of my favorite shows in that modern era of Cartoon Network... Right besides it being Regular Show and Adventure Time...
2:05:20 not a theme song but there is a Gumball rap song made for Polish charity hot16 challenge, it's sung by one of Gumball VA and it barely has anything to do with TAWOG in lyrics 'cuz they're about support to nurses and doctors during COVID and just the pandemic in general But that's a fun fact to know
Idk if it was Mike Inel himself or someone using his art, but when u brought up his artwork around the show my mind jumped straight to the nsfw creations considering he hasn’t done all that much sfw content with the ~OC
no, that was entirely his. Mike's work branches into a lot of stuff. Including spicy videos of nicole and human zootopia which has both a sfw and spicy version of the "yoga" scene
1:50:44 I actually had the Bobert happy meal toy and back when the Gumball happy meal first came out! It was basically just a stopwatch that I used to time how long I'd brushed my teeth ^^
I used to watch gumball all the time! I'm surprised the extent that most of the items on this list reawoke memories. I think I had stopped watching around the end of season 4, but I still remembered all of the lore up to that point. Especially that one teaser painting I was so invested in it.. Thus was a wonderfully done video!
Sad to say that Nicole wasn’t the only waterson that Mike made smut of. (For those who don’t know, Mike was called out a while back for drawing incest of the waterson kids on his tumblr… Not mad at anyone for not knowing about this just wanted to give a heads up.)
I hold a pretty libertarian view when it comes to content. I don’t really care about what weird stuff he makes as long as it doesn’t lead to any real world harm.
I don't really watch gumball religiously, I only knew every single episode he talked about because my sister watches it like her life depends on it. Great episode! keep up the good work!
2:21:21 this brings me back to my childhood. The screams i mean. I remember i was screaming like that all the time, i was such a brat. Its weirdly relatable and it makes me want to see more of mentally unstabe Gumball. THIS in particular, mentally unstabe Gumball
i don't know if this is a fun or interesting fact but in Portugal there is a very famous chain of supermarkets that use gumball and his family has the face of their kid products (like cereal, chocolate milk, tissues etc.) and it's 100% official! Ben even came here in 2017 to promote it and talk about the making of the show :D
About Mike Inel, his art style and animations are amazing but I’m pretty sure he ships pinecest or at least has drawn/animated a lot of pinecest material
The show totally takes place in the early 2000s, I know because I lived it. Remember that the first smart phone ever made public was in 2009. I was a kid, and I remember freaking the fuck out about it, being like, "WOAH WHAT THE HECK ,THATS LIKE A COMPUTER IN YOUR HAND!!" Except it was more like general excitement. I was probably about 8 years old. I had a flip phone until I was 16. I never did make my way to a video store, but when I was very little, about 4 years old, or maybe even 6, blockbuster had JUST gone out of business. Damn man, it just feels like such a different time. And the amazing world of gumball is a brilliant snapshot of what it was like to grow up during that time. It's a time I'll never get back, years I'll never see again, and man do I ever miss it.
fan theory i just came up with: In the Void, Molly is frozen in time, until awaken by gumball and darwin. however, rob is awake in the void before gumball and darwin arrive. what’s weird is that we see the animation for pilot darwin in the void, frozen, but we never see pilot gumball. what if pilot gumball was awake or even created the void, and woke up rob for whatever reason. it would also add a double meaning to “the amazing world of gumball”. Another interesting fact is that molly doesn’t realize she’s in tv show after “the void” but rob seems to know he is. maybe pilot gumball knew he was a mistake for a tv show, and told rob about it, telling rob to kill canon gumball for replacing him and banishing him to the void. it would explain why rob knows so much about the void while molly doesn’t.
i just thought the last episode was self-awareness of the characters trying to escape into the real world, and when they didn't, they, along with their world, ceased to exist.
I have so many questions about penny’s family tree. Also, is the babysitter scene a reference to Cat in the Hat? [ 55:39 ] Maybe it’s a reach but I immediately thought of that
I was wondering if Mike Inel/Manyakis was going to appear on this. It stayed SFW surprisingly. Good work, Alpha. (Edit: NVM, I saw Mike Inel's 'Nicole's Risky Job' and other stuff in the abyss. GOOD TASTE, ALPHA.)
Just quickly, regarding the sections you did for the character ships... I was the one who made their pages on Shipping Wiki. Well, except for Carwin - that one already existed. (And for some reason one for Tobias and Ocho... Don't ask.) If you or anyone else wants to contribute and expand those pages, that'd be super helpful!
Imagine being a little kid and seeing your OC in your favorite cartoon. That would have been mind blowing for me. Yeah I guess they should have asked first but then the surprise would be gone. Idk I think it's cute including fan content in the show
I loved this video, i just finished watching it IN FULL, and i feel the amount of information i was already familiar with from the beginning to the end of the iceberg was curious. I think in the _Dad has a heavy moment…_ Richard is on a scale, which explains the title and makes sense since in the past he’s seen his large weight to be negative, like in the mustaches.
I thought it was because he gained weight.

quite disappointed for not seeing the background clown character mentioned in the iceberg. Great video never the less.
that's what I'm sayin
he is the sole reason i came looking for this
23:44 actually, Rob had another style change in the first two seasons, probably the most drastic change. Season 1 Rob was fully 3D, but Season 2 Rob was fully 2D.
1:34:45 one thing that should be pointed out is that it's very likely that Scott Cawthon, the creator of fnaf, sampled one of the voicelines for Fnaf 2 from this particular episode because it sounds eerily familiar to one of Balloon Boy's voicelines
He recorded that voiceline from one of his sons.
Leslie canonically said "gag on my eleganza" and I love that for him
I love that you did an iceberg video and on Gumball no less.
Yeah I can agree
You know its gonna be a good iceberg when the video length is over an hour
now we have to add cantu beefing with dream to the iceberg
I pity him :(
Also the ending of the last episode literally means everyone in Elmore is gonna die, probably.
Which is real weird and gross. Same with TordxTom
@@bad_pilot13official why is it gross? you mean because they don't like each other? cause the enemies to lovers trope is VERY common and I would say a pretty tame fun idea when it comes to fiction.
@@SugaryOats yeah that’s exactly why honestly
@@bad_pilot13official I suppose that's fair if you don't like those kind of tropes. I think it's fine if people do enjoy it though.
@@bad_pilot13official its fictional....get a grip..its okay if you dont like them.,.but dont be weird abt it
I can see why you hyped this up to be your best video! Amazing work
I remember the old promos they had on Cartoon Network about Gumball Season 3's status quo changes, they marketed them as "mysteries of Elmore" and listed them off as file cases.
Probably more but I'm only 2 hours in.
is it really? i watch gumball on hulu all the time and never knew about the shock collar scene
@@Iris-virus Well I somehow do, I only use Hulu.
Finally someone get it
I absolutely love Gumball and find it one of my favorite shows in that modern era of Cartoon Network... Right besides it being Regular Show and Adventure Time...
If this video was made a bit later you could include the dream vs gumball fight
2:05:20 not a theme song but there is a Gumball rap song made for Polish charity hot16 challenge, it's sung by one of Gumball VA and it barely has anything to do with TAWOG in lyrics 'cuz they're about support to nurses and doctors during COVID and just the pandemic in general
But that's a fun fact to know
This show defined my taste in media and my entire humor, honestly. I'm so glad this video exists.
I approve of this video
Yo
I forgot how funny this show was! it still makes me laugh even nine years after i last watched it. Thank you for making this.
A 3 hour Gumball Iceberg? Sign me up!
I'ma just say that Mr. Corneal has amazing animation, and I wouldn't mind a series with that style!
“Corneal” lol

The fact that I knew about 95% of the informatiom in this iceberg shows how big of a Gumball fan I am. Great video!
There was a lot more continuity in Gumball than I remember.
1:50:44
I actually had the Bobert happy meal toy and back when the Gumball happy meal first came out! It was basically just a stopwatch that I used to time how long I'd brushed my teeth ^^
Gumball is hella iconic
Not sure why Jealousy is considered a deceased character, notably on the wiki, when he’s literally shown possessing Penny before the episode ends
I think you're looking too deep in the "Gumball's final destination" entry, I'm pretty sure it was just a joke about him shitting himself.
Thanks!
Wow. 3 hours of Gumball. Worth it!!
Love the reaper avatar BTW.
HOLY SHIT I DID NOT REALIZE THIS WAS 3 HOURS LONG OKAY- i love the dedication people put in these kinds of vids like omg u guys are amazing
Alfa back at it again with a goated Gumball video
I used to watch gumball all the time! I'm surprised the extent that most of the items on this list reawoke memories. I think I had stopped watching around the end of season 4, but I still remembered all of the lore up to that point. Especially that one teaser painting I was so invested in it..
Thus was a wonderfully done video!
Sad to say that Nicole wasn’t the only waterson that Mike made smut of. (For those who don’t know, Mike was called out a while back for drawing incest of the waterson kids on his tumblr… Not mad at anyone for not knowing about this just wanted to give a heads up.)
Wait who’s Mike
@@dopedoge3603 Mike Inel
I hold a pretty libertarian view when it comes to content. I don’t really care about what weird stuff he makes as long as it doesn’t lead to any real world harm.
The only one of his animations is Halloween where the girl is dead and walking with a boy on Halloween. I didn’t even know he did this nasty stuff
@@missinvisible in the case of that animation, let’s just say someone else made it, not Mike “gets off to incest” inel.
*"The Amazing World Of Gumball"* is one of the greatest shows to ever exist.

As a TAWOG fan ever since the show first premiere, this I definitely approve.
Im very proud and honoured to know ive played all those gumball games and remembered them the moment u listed em , brings me back to good times
3 Hours of Alpha Jay,TAWOG,and IceBergs HELL YEAH!!
Daniel Lennard being an executive producer and the character they thought was flirting with their mom by sending her beauty products is amazing.
Remember the Cartoon Network actually made fun of the lost episode creepasta from TAWOG?
i don't know if this is a fun or interesting fact but in Portugal there is a very famous chain of supermarkets that use gumball and his family has the face of their kid products (like cereal, chocolate milk, tissues etc.) and it's 100% official! Ben even came here in 2017 to promote it and talk about the making of the show :D
Such an impressive video. Watched it all the way through and learned a ton. You should be so proud of this :)
Great video dude. Fingers crossed for this movie. It’s starting to piss me off that it’s been radio silence for the entirety of last year
mad respect to this guy for making a 3 hour video for our entertainment
About Mike Inel, his art style and animations are amazing but I’m pretty sure he ships pinecest or at least has drawn/animated a lot of pinecest material
He pretty much draws a lot of henta!
So? It's fiction
@@LYNN-id9rb And how does that make it okay?

Oh boy I'm bringing out the popcorn for this
The show totally takes place in the early 2000s, I know because I lived it.
Remember that the first smart phone ever made public was in 2009.
I was a kid, and I remember freaking the fuck out about it, being like, "WOAH WHAT THE HECK ,THATS LIKE A COMPUTER IN YOUR HAND!!"
Except it was more like general excitement.
It's a time I'll never get back, years I'll never see again, and man do I ever miss it.
fan theory i just came up with:
In the Void, Molly is frozen in time, until awaken by gumball and darwin. however, rob is awake in the void before gumball and darwin arrive. what’s weird is that we see the animation for pilot darwin in the void, frozen, but we never see pilot gumball. what if pilot gumball was awake or even created the void, and woke up rob for whatever reason. it would also add a double meaning to “the amazing world of gumball”.
As someone who only watched the show in another language, it's very funny to listen to all the changes of voice acting because I never witnesses it
Watched the whole thing was awesome as always
13:49 astoundingly usually voice actor changes are major and annoy me but they got the perfect cast every time! Amazing
i just thought the last episode was self-awareness of the characters trying to escape into the real world, and when they didn't, they, along with their world, ceased to exist.
GOOD TASTE, ALPHA.)
this was playing by accident when i woke up and i ended up watching the whole thing afterwards
Just quickly, regarding the sections you did for the character ships...
I was the one who made their pages on Shipping Wiki.
Well, except for Carwin - that one already existed. (And for some reason one for Tobias and Ocho... Don't ask.)
If you or anyone else wants to contribute and expand those pages, that'd be super helpful!
Ochotobi is now like ranking as a popular gumball ship...
I loved The Joy so much even if I found it fairly creepy back then, it's definitely one of the episodes I will never forget.
I am pretty proud of myself for figuring a lot of this stuff out as a child
1:50:40 I remember that Gumball promotion. it also ran in Ireland. I specifically remember having the Carrie toy and finding it useless lol
Amazing world of gumball has always been one of my favorite shows. I always tell my family how deep this show really is.
Imagine being a little kid and seeing your OC in your favorite cartoon. That would have been mind blowing for me. Yeah I guess they should have asked first but then the surprise would be gone. Idk I think it's cute including fan content in the show
I think this is going to be a great video!
I loved this video, i just finished watching it IN FULL, and i feel the amount of information i was already familiar with from the beginning to the end of the iceberg was curious. I've always loved the Amazing World of Gumball, and its literally my favorite show from all of the CN shows from the 2000's to around 2019 when i stopped watching CN completely. Thank you for this video, i really enjoyed it, it made me feel even nostalgic and gave me the urge to watch the show again, just as when i was just a kid. I want to be grateful because i'm sure it took you weeks to finish.
I’m surprised you didn’t bring up rob’s pigtail or the imaginary friend episode, but still, all of these that are inside the episodes themselves aren’t too obscure if you’ve seen every one at least once, but still pretty cool
True power of the Watersons:
Gumball: almost invulnerable, can skip sections of time, slowed aging, 4th wall powers, detachable limbs, super-speed, gremlin form, and shape-shifting. Also can become a Super Saiyan.
Darwin: Can forcibly adapt to any environment if needed, gremlin form, can breathe underwater, slowed aging, unusual strength, detachable limbs, superhuman stamina, and can fuse with gumball. Also his sneezes can move planets at full power.
Anais: Genius intellect and extreme strategist and gremlin form. Also can become a parasite to close friends
Richard: Can forcibly grow hair, High durability, Wonderhug, can shape reality with a job, superhuman metabolism, and has high creativity
Nicole: Actually a demon with fire powers, superhuman strength, anime-style martial arts, super-speed, penance stare, and multiple transformations. Also may have Conquerors Haki
