Great video Ryan, thanks for the detailed information regarding water and resupply thanks for your help in my planning for the Hexatrek next year.
No problem, I try to balance to videos with information and nice scenery 😊
You certainly seem to be at one with nature.
I love watching nature, it is incredibly complex and beautiful at the same time 😊
Wow Ryan, just looked it up and looks amazing! I'd not even heard of it before, but have an epic adventure and looking forward to watching your progress 👍
Thanks for the support John 👍🏼 I only heard of it a month before starting it 😊 I think as more people find out about it the more popular the trail will get. But at the moment it is a very quiet trail and it is beautiful 😍
Looks a really epic trek and I look forward to following your adventure, thanks for sharing it.
It’s a long one for sure, but a great way to see France 🇫🇷
Woow .amazing .good job
Thankyou 😊
Slightly envious of you Ryan. Hope you enjoy this new route...in years to come it may be crowded with hikers so you might experience it at its best. Thanks for taking us along with you 👍
Thanks John, that’s definitely one of the reasons for jumping straight into this trail whilst I have the opportunity. It’s brand new and it has been very quite so far, in the furture I would imagine it will get very popular as more people find out about it.
Aha....great! My walking buddy is back. Great episode and looking forward to following your adventure. Keep on trekin'!
Cheers James and thank you for the support 🙏🏻 munch appreciated 😊

Thank you, I’m soloing this epic trail but I think she may come and visit me and hike for a bit but no plans made yet
Wow! Looks like a beautiful trail. That's going to be cold in the Pyrenees in fall?
It has been incredible so far but very tough hiking. I may need to get an extra layer for the Pyrenees but I’ll cross that bridge when I arrive, thanks for watching 👍🏼
This looks great my friend! Simply unreal scenery and solo adventure! 🔥🔥
Thank you Ervin it is going to be quite the adventure, I’m looking forward to the Alps the most I think. They look incredible

This looks like an incredible journey on foot. You certainly do choose adventures with a difference. Good luck and enjoy.
😎 this has been quite the adventure already and I’m only a third through the trail. Long way to go but hiking strong and enjoying every minute 😊
Good to see you back out on a trail. If the first two days are anything to go by, then it is going to be an epic journey. Can't wait for the next one. Take care. Enjoy
Thank you 👍🏼 this trail has been incredible so far. Tough but beautiful
I didn't know that the route finished in Spain
I think it’s on the border of Spain, I’ll meet you there for a beer mate 🍺👍🏼
Hi Ryan, love the videos man! I am hoping and kinda urgently looking to get some advice from you regarding the French visa. What do you put down as 'Your contacts' as in a host or hotel. I am looking just to travel and get started as you did. The online form wants an address. Any advice would be much appreciated 👍
Hi James, glad you’re enjoying the videos 👍🏼 yeah the French Visa isn’t very thru hiker friendly. What I did was put Wissembourg down for the address and just left the contacts empty. I then added a cover letter with my visa application explaining exactly what I was doing, explain you plan to thru hike the Hexatrek and will get accommodation (hostels, campsites, mountain refuges etc.) along the trail as and when you need it, and explain it is normal for a hike like this to wild camp (bivouac) along the trail. As long as you have the correct insurance and enough savings they will issue a visa no problem. Just explain exactly what you are doing in the letter. Hope this helps, happy to answer any further questions you have.
I just checked my application and for the address I put:
Acommadation on the Hexatrek
Hexatrek
Wissembourg
France
Then I left the contacts empty, and just explained what I was doing in the cover letter.
Thank you very much Ryan! That's exactly what I will do. Much appreciated mate
@@James-uj3us No worries, good luck.
