- I have never replaced the cv's on a Honda.... Lets Learn Together.
Just a Few Nuts and Bolts to Loosen Up, a couple of Yanks, Pushes... Tighten it Back Up.... Riding Smooth Again!
Talk about ass kicking dexterity, ingenuity, dedication and down right get-er-done attitude. I was glued watching you own that beast axle. You're inspiration.
Glad you got that fixed and it is running good now. Hollie needs a hug. I wish I was there so I could talk to her and encourage her. She is so down. Miss your videos.
You’re a star Chris. Never have I met someone with so many talents under their hat. You make any job look easy. Plus with meeting Hollie you’re the perfect combo. You both work your asses off for whatever you get. I hope the best of everything for you and your family ❤️ Xxx
Great job, my husband was a lot like you Chris, he could fix anything. He's been gone almost nine years and I miss him terribly. Great editing Holly!
I directed and edited this one ;)
Your Husband sounds like he was a good hard working man!
Chris
Learned what that all looked like and you make it look easy. When I worked at a gas station a guy came in not knowing how to change a flat, I had to show him. That was sad. Chris you are multi talented.
Chris you are amazing! A jack of all trades! Hollie you better hang on to this guy, he’s a keeper! Not only can he fix anything, he has a heart of gold! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Chris.... it's Hollie! I'm sitting here watching this at 11:00 at night because Ellion won't let me sleep and he just dumped cookies all over the floor. But you did a great job fixing the van and i love you!
TheChris AndHollieShow awe how sweet!
Hollie.... So glad you and Chris found each other. Real love is a mighty beautiful thing. Bless your hearts❤️
TheChris AndHollieShow , Aww, Hollie, you are so sweet and kind. God blessed you both. You are the ying to Chris's yang!! A power couple for sure!
Bravo Chris..you did good!!! Watching you reminds me of my dear Daddy....he loved his Camels, his Old Style and any car that needed fix'n....a good guy like you. God love ya!!!
Great job Chris! I now have my husband watching you guys. Yay, new subscriber. Seriously though, you are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to working on just about anything. God bless. Sending love from Alabama. Love Jen
Did that man know all about these things before he sold it to you? If he did that really sucks😡. Thank the good lord that he made you such a jack of all trades. I love your attitude Chris you always just do things and don't really sweat it. Hope everything works out🙏🏻
I love Honda. Mine have been wonderful cars with hardly a single thing needing fixed.
Great video! I need to replace both CV axles on my vehicle. The dealership was going to hot me over the head with get it done. I'm just going to do it myself after watching this video! Great Job and thanks again!
Is there anything you can't do chris ?...carpenter,mechanic,father,husband,furniture repair holy cow
Alexis Baumann , it would be nice to clone him. Then Hollie could rent out the Cloned Chris for Handyman work! LOL
Brings back way to many memories of me n my dad, then me & my son working on any & everything. Yes, I'm a girl (at least that's what my birth certificate says) Lol! Thank God I don't have to anymore! New vehicles......NEVER! I'm old school! Shade tree all the way. I don't know how much I'd even remember now! It's wonderful having a mechanic in the family. Save the bucks!
Chris "please please please " don't take this the wrong way. You are a very talented hard working young man a great husband ,dad, step dad just plan kind hearted as anyone can be."A Great Person" Don't let your youth and great job opportunities pass you by.
Wow, Chris
It's a good thing that you have the tools to do that job and the patience especially when working outside in the cold and in tight spaces.
Now you have scrape metal left over for some cash👍 Also, don't forget to torque to whatever nuts need to be properly torque.
A job well done!!!👍👍👍
Yeah i think that is why most people do not attempt to work on their own cars because of the expense of tools. I'm a tool collector haha
A tool collection is a good thing. They help save you money in the long run!
After I paid mechanic to change O2 sensor, I found out the tool I needed was cheaper than he was. Dang, I could have bought tool, fixed it, and saved about 30 -35 bucks, after tool cost. It was a ten minute job at that! Next time, I know what to do. Live & learn.
Happy the van is doing well. Not an auto repair fan myself, but you are so capable in so many areas.
That's the best feeling when you can do things yourself and it's an even better feeling when you can save that money good job Chris that puts more money in your pocket for your family ....
Great job Chris! Great attitude too! I’d rather be a jack-of-all-trades than a master of none. You got the touch. I bet you’re wishing it was the midas touch. Everything I touch turns to well you know! Have a great one young fella!
Chris can do anything... way to go & get it fixed..
Great job you never cease to amaze me
Such a man of all trades. YOU GO CHRIS
Well done Chris. You can fix anything.
You have saved sooo much money by knowing how to work on your own vehicles.
Great job Chris. You must have a lot of patience my hubby would have been cursing and cussing about half an hour into the job. He's out in the garage changing a light bulb on our Holden and he's not happy, lol. 💕 to you all
The first time i changed a CV i dropped both the arms the second time i did it , i did it the same you just did and i think its the easier way to change them and i fully agree working on cars is crap but to save the money you do what you gotta do
GOOD TO HAVE VIDEOS. I CHANGED MY DASH LIGHTS WATCHING A YOU TUBE VIDEO ! you go chris !
chris I'm 65 year old from ky. i love this video you maid it good
I like the video editing. Pretty cool. 👍
Great job on the axle, I did mine not too long ago. It takes some time and requires patience. Have a good one.
Awesome job Chris and if you hadn't said something I would have thought you were a trained mechanic. If I had tried something like that it would have taken me most of the day with lots of breaks to look online for manuals and how to's.
Thanks brother, i have always bought used cars all of my life so i have learned a little bit through the years Lol
This is so cool and attractive to me. I always wanted a man who knew how to fix up a house or a car, I love watching this even though I have no idea what's going on or what the thing is supposed to look like but it's still interesting
My knowledge was exhausted after you removed the tire! LOL you are way more adventurous than me. Lol nice job!
Did a great job! You might still need an alignment. If the two lower bolts for the strut holes were oval or had play in them I’d say yes. I’d see what the alignment is after the passenger side is done if the steering wheel is off just a bit will chew your tire up as You know. A front alignment isn’t expensive if they only need to align the front tires. Just my one cent! Super job brother!
Thank you!
Hello my brother Chris wow it’s great to know how to do the job hr self u save so much money u just know it all buddy and I wanted to thank u and Hollie and baby for the gift I received wow such a beautiful gift I love it thanks guys from the bottom of my heart I appreciate that love u guys always and I always have u guys in my prayers god bless and take care from uncle ray in New York ❤️✌️🙏🏼☘️❤️
Chris I was sitting on the edge of my couch trying to help you put the bolts back in place n then I caught myself I almost fell off the couch I was acting as if I was actually helping you tighten everything up lol 😂 way to go Chris
Haha :)
I was doing the same thing, Chris. I was cursing for you at times. Lol. I'm 62 but when I was a kid I used to help my stepdad work on his cars. He taught me a lot. So much so that when my water pump went out on my 67 or 68(memories not so good anymore) Chevy caprice, I changed it by myself. I was about 22 years old. I had to have it done so I could go to work that night. It rained all day, so I took a couple of shower curtains and draped them from all across the hood to the bumper and on each side downwards, made me a covered area to work and not get wet. I climbed in the engine compartment with my tools and had it done in time to go to work that night. Back then you had a big engine compartment so there was plenty of room to move around. Even tho i was a girl, i loved working on cars and helping my step dad.
Oh and I love watching all ya'lls videos. Love Melonies(sp)channel, also. She has a beautiful voice!!! And lil lion makes this old women smile every time he does. He's just so gosh darn cute. He's gonna be a very personable young man when he grows up and have all the girls chasing after him. Love you and Hollies love story, ya'll are just so cute together. Ya'll bring a smile to this old women's face every time I watch ya'lls videos, no matter the content. Ya'll are such hard working people that i know that ya'll will get that house ya'll want very soon. God bless ya'lls little family
T Berry , when I was 18, I had a 67 mustang, constantly leaving me on side of road, in an era of no cell phones, U hoof it to a payphone and pray someone answered when u called. It was selinoid switch, an 8 buck part then. Dad showed me how to change them. Kept one in trunk, for just in case and had to change one day on side of road, by myself. Got home finally. Knowledge is power. The day the transmission line broke, police man saw me pushing it out of road, he stopped after I could have used some manpower. Looked at me and said, get in Sally, I'll take you home. The look on my mom's face was priceless, when she saw me get out of the squad car. Didn't Dawn on her, I was riding in the front, not back!!!! Ah, the memories!!!!! I learned how to mechanic on that car. Dang, I miss her now. Newer cars, ugh.
T Berry, wow i bet you wish you could have kept that car. I have had a couple of cars that i wished i would have never gotten rid of!
Oh yes, Chris. Everything was so much easier to fix back then. Now everything is computerized. That would be out of my league!!! Hope Hollie is feeling better!! I love your family!!!
Hollie you and I are lucky to have husbands who fix our cars. We are blessed.
Doing both sides of mine tomorrow! Mine messes up at highway speed. Causes a vibration so bad it made my damn red bull go flat lol. I am with ya to save 800 ill spend the couple hrs!!
Oh and ya picked up another sub lol
That was interesting! Thanks for showing how it's done.😊
that's greAT OF YOU TO SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE!
judith jones , I agree, being a female, I am learning how to fix things myself with UA-cam videos.
Hey man thanks for the video, pretty nice camera work and angles too btw.
I think my wife's CV's are going out, I might change them just to find out, really appreciate you sharing
Glad I could help brother!
I'm a new subscriber 🙋 love your videos your son is so adorable, God bless your family
You continually inpresse me with your G
OD given talent and need to succeed. your so AMAZING, I am so proud of you.. the lady in comments below, made me remember what my gas-station guy said once. this lady camein and asked if hecould change her oil. he said yes, she left him the other 5 quarts and walked out to go shopping and would be back in about 2 hrs.. he asked where she was going, again, she said shopping. he said he'd be done 15 min. she said it had taken her over hr and half for other qt,! where did u put it in? she showed them, DIP STICK HOLE!!!!HA HA HA1. SSO FUNNY.. UPSTATE SHERRY
Oh dang, poor lady Haha
gary earl , bless her heart, I'm surprised it only took 1 & half hours that way.
I have done many over the years, saved a ton of money.
Me too my friend, i would rather spend the money on tools if possible!
I learned some things to very informative video!!!! Can't t wait till the passenger side!!!?
Two ways of doing it: losen the two strut bolts or just losen the lower ball joint. There is no need to touch the tire rod.
Handyman Chris!! My husband works in the coal mines, he says, “ he’d rather work a little overtime to pay someone who knows what they are doing” and save time lol
Haha i used to be the same way when i was working for the man all the time. Its too tiring to do stuff like that when your off work and taking a break for the weekend.
TheChris AndHollieShow and he rarely has a weekend off!!! Sometimes every other Sunday. So I usually go take the vehicle and sit and wait or drop it off.
Tracy Frost , bless him, the coal mine is hard and dangerous work.
Chicky yes it is. I look forward to that text at the time he’s suppose to get off work. They have had a few close calls!!!
Tracy Frost , wow. I'm glad he is ok. I remember the movie Coal Miners Daughter, showed a little of the hard work they must endure. Plus, I have not forgotten those who lost thier lives in the mines. May God bless him and your family.
Good job Chris doing work yourself saves you from paying someone to do it
Thanks for the video. Im motivated to repair my brothers vehicle after watching this. What tool did you use to press the seal into the transmission housing with at 11:22?
Good work. Nicely done.
Good job!! Love watching cars being worked on! I come from a long line of grease monkeys!! Lol
Good job Chris your smarter than you look 👍🍺
Thanks brother haha
Needs must guys self repair awesome and cheap great stuff Chris 🏴
I remember changing my own tire when I was 9 months pregnant.boy trying to get them nuts loose was hell I ended up just standing on the tool and jumping up and down to loosen it lol! it worked tho and I gotter done !lol
you are a talented person Chris...from carpentry to machinery...i saw you dancing...next time i will hear you singing ahahaha...good job...:)
I have had the girls trying to get me to sing haha, i havent been up to it yet Lol
Right on . nice to see ya do your own work , Just watched Omar/s vid of not being able to change a tire , Hadda pull his man card LOL . You guys keep up the great vids :)
Haha i didnt see it but funny shit
Hadda do a water pump on an 05 town and country , got it changed and Then the power steering pump went out , not a lot of room in there but it was doable . Saving that cash is what it's all about ...
There have been some jobs i have done and wished i would have hired someone to do it haha. There are just some jobs where everything goes wrong lol
Thanks Chris, cool video.
awesome job Chris! Now you are even cuter!! Hollie keep that boy around!!!
great vids mate ill doing same things with my ow car as well but only with my own so i 100% sure everything is done well, do not trust others i learn it hard way...
I thought of y'all while I was digging in the dumpster. Actually tried to help hollie find candles.
Having a lot of trouble with that new car lately. Hope all goes well soon
Nicely done my friend
Thanks Brother!
Great Job Chris!!!
Grate job Love your work be bless an take of that family God bless u with because they are worth every bit of it bless u so much GOD 💜💜💜💜💜💜🙏 know u 💓💓💓💓💓 heart always Shelia
Great video and very informative.
Well done cris saved yourself 500 bucks in the garage I expect .any Honda is a good vehicle. I am a retired diesel fitter as we call it in the uk and have owned Nissan cars and trucks since 1986 wouldn’t buy any outher make of vehicle cheers cris
Several areas are putting a new idea in place .it is a large garage with hoists and tools.you do your own repairs and it is monitored by someone so tools stay there. It makes it easier to raise your car to do these types of repairs and they only charge a small fee to be inside warm and safe
Sheryl Bullard , that is great. I wish they would do that here.
John mitchell I have always said if you want a V8 or bigger go American, if you want a small motor go Japanese haha
Sheryl Bullard, that sounds nice but i would be afraid of something going wrong (which seems to a lot with me lol) but if you break something on the car there and end up not being able to get the part you need that day. Then you might be stuck paying for the garage longer than planned. I have had stuff break on me and had to order the part, then get the part and its the wrong part.
There has also been times that the job was such a pain that i had to walk away from it for a couple days and come back fresh so that i wouldnt beat it with a sledge hammer Lol
Your Honda cert is in the mail!
Also, Hi Hollie!
Does anyone else catch themselves laughing like Chris sometimes LOL.....i mean chhh chhhh chhhh chhh chhhh
Hey Chris and Hollie miss you guys
I hate front wheel drive vehicles. Been there done that
Great job man 🙋
Hey Chris you got it going on a jack of all trades that is really cool you go boyyyyyy you take good care of your family so peace out until the next time hahaha xxxxx
Woohoo so happy it worked out for you🤑🤑👍🏻
My son did mine last yr. What a job, I help a little.. Lol
Good job Chris
YOU GO CHRIS !!!
great job chris
Miss yall guys please make more video
How long does that job usually take? How much should it cost if I get a mechanic to do it? I have the same car that has the same problem but a little hesitant to do it myself. My only free days are Sundays and I'm afraid I won't get it done in 1 day. If I bring it to a mechanic, I want to know what's a good price too get it done so I won't get ripped off. 👍
Hey I sound stupid because I ask questions before the video ended 🤣😂
Keep up the good works you two!
Thanks for sharing this, I need to do the same thing and now I know how to do it and save money
Glad i could help brother!
Love the video! Fasten your seatbelt homie!
Good job, Chris..
Way To Go Awesome video
Make sure your seal spring in there didn’t come loose .. thought I saw something shiny ..
Since you took the strut loose, you’ll need a wheel alignment...
Changing already on the new van, man what a bummer. Been trying to email y'all. Did you get my gift for Ellion? I put it in the same envelope as Melanie's. Luv y'all
Wow! I'm impressed! You never give up and keep on keeping on! I admire your tenacity! Chris did you go to school for mechanics or are you self taught? Great work!
I will just say i was brought up around a lot of hard workers, so i had a lot of good examples to follow.
My Dad was a Hard worker, my step dad (my other dad) was Carpenter/Mechanic/Handyman, Hard working Uncles that are carpenters, My Grandfather was a Carpenter/Handyman. Haha i just picked it up. When i was a kid i was building tree houses and clubs that you wouldnt even believe a kid built Lol
wow Chris, you grew up with an old old fashion family values that is so cool, you don't see that every day now of these days.
you had learn a lot growing up with hard working family
TheChris AndHollieShow , I admire your work ethic. You are a hard worker and your UA-cam fam sees that. Thank you for sharing your time and adventures with us. mucho respect!
serrot spikester i am very grateful for having good men to grow up around.
My Uncle and My Grandfather both started out with a few acres of land and a mobile homes, and over years they turn those mobile homes into huge houses by building on to them. You would hardly even notice that there is a trailer in the middle of those houses.
all us women could use a basic 101 on how to maintain your car ! I used to change my own oil but haven't done that in a long time!
judith jones , good idea!!! Hint, hint Chris.
How much was the axles ?
awesome video loved it 💖💖💖💖
I got same problem as you. but if you remote the two hanging bolt you need alignment
Received package today in Texas loved ratings choc all melted lol
Aww dang!
Your the man Chris
Mechanic pays well my dad did that for a living 40+ years He alway had work
Hollie needs a brake video. When I tried to download it,it said it was not available.Do you know what happened?
Chris that was a great video! Wish you could work on my van, I have a ford, you know what that stands for "FIX OR REPAIR DAILY "
Found on road dead haha. Van's are such a pain to work on, especially inside the engine compartment
I had a Ford winstar min van it was a money Pitt ever buy fords ever stick with Toyota or Honda
Nice job!👍so what has to be done on other side? The clicking?
The same thing on the other side. its just not as bad
TheChris AndHollieShow Cool Beans!its good, No one got hurt. That u fixed it,once again Great job Chris.
So many times ive needed this tutorial. Lol zip tied em one time cuz i didnt have right tool. But hey, im just a girl!
I have used a lot of duct tape and zip ties in my life also. No shame haha
You go I need you to fix on my truck ...
WONDER HOW DO YOU KONOW IF YOU HAVE THEM BOLTS TIGHT ENOUGHT?i changed my tire AND I WAS SO SCARED I didn't tighten them enough ! I kept having visions of going down the road and my wheels flying off lol!
I worry about the wheels being tight enough also. Its definitely safest to tighten with an impact wrench
Good job brother
Thank you 😁
Great job Chris money in your pocket not there’s lol
