    I ended up having a really easy time and I didn't even need to get under the car. I pulled the inner boot off, pulled the shaft itself out, and scooped out the grease and bearings with a rag. This left me with essentially a cup that I needed to pull out. I put the hook of my chain over the lip, I had a feeling it might work, I knew it would slip right off, or it would work where the harder I pulled the harder it gripped. I worked almost too easily, I stood up, let the chain go slack, it didn't fall off or anything, then I gave the chain one tug tight, not even hard, more as a test to see if the hook was going slip off or not, and clink, it popped right out.

    Damn my axle is not sliding off. I'm trying to hit it with the pry bar like you did but it's not budging.

    My only question is: you used anti-seize for the outer spindles, do I use the same stuff to lightly grease the inner mount? (Referring to 4:26)
    Otherwise this was a perfect video! All steps shown clearly and described cohesively!

    What if the axle is stuck?

      Stuck in the transmission or stuck in the knuckle?

      @@ValleyMobileAutomotive stuck in the transmission for me

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive  2 місяці тому

      @@every_thing_wood1251 Usually a pry bar in between the transmission and CV axle is enough to pop it out. But if not they have an attatchment for a slide hammer you can rent both the tool and hammer from the parts store. Just tell them what you're struggling with and they'll set you up with the right tools.

    • @every_thing_wood1251
      @every_thing_wood1251 2 місяці тому

      @ValleyMobileAutomotive yea the pry bar did nothing for me. I ended up pulling one side of the axle and the boot slid off from the transmission side. So I took the axle itself inserted it into the transmission side, and put 2 vice grips on the sides to not let it slide out. Then I just yanked on the axle about 4 or 5 times and it popped right out like nothing. This was causing such a headache, and this worked FLAWLESSLY!
