Hi! Can I use germaben instead of optiphen for this? If so, do I use the same amount as in this recipe. Thanks for all you do! Keep the tips coming! I appreciate you sis 🤗🥰
Great video. Just an fyi for people like myself that dig through the comments for gold; In terms of silica content, horsetail is ok but bamboo is greater, as it contains 10x more silica than horsetail. I've been searching for bamboo leaf powder or just plain bamboo leaf online. I've bought bamboo extract, it's white, works great. I make capsules out of it and also dissolve it in water when I do diy's. Diatomaceous earth also has a very high silica content.
Thanks for sharing this. I use DE but internally which is obviously the best way but might give it ago with some fenugreek and horsetail as a spritz moisturiser 😀
Hey Hey I made it as a spray and OOH YEAH MY HAIR LOVES IT, but with just the fenugreek and horsetail, and I added olive leaf leaves (not many) and wheat germ oil (not much) IT WORKS GREAT....roses and me don’t get along 🤷🏽♀️ 😂 but ooooh horsetail and fenugreek is FANTASTIC You gotta try olive leaf leaves 👍🏾👌🏾
Have you ever thought about using tallow as a moisturizer base instead of the chemicals? If you mix melted tallow and olive oil, then add your desired seasonings and keep stirring until the tallow starts to set, you get a nice hair and scalp moisturiser! Hair never dries out. You can mix the tallow with castor oil too. Or any other oil you like 😉
Great idea Just Debbie..when I was a little girl my mother would use beef tallow on our skin and it is such a great skin moisturizer. I had no idea you can use on the hair as well. How do you use it for hair as you mentioned. I have a whole pale full I would definitely love to use it in my and my son's hair care. Especially his hair. Thank you in advance 🤗🌹🌺
My hair came out sooooo soft! This is my 2nd time making this, but the first time almost like the recipe. Lol 😂 🤣 😂 I substituted hibiscus 🌺 for the rose 🌹 water. I had my mom use this and she loved it too! She said it was like Mielle hair products 😁 Great job! 👍🏽👍🏽Now, the 1st time I made this I was sooo tired that I combined recepies. I used the water, fenugreek & horsetail water from this and added it to the Ayurvedic whipped Shea butter recipe. We'll, it still came out great too 😂 🤣 😂

OOOh first time watcher, I love this. im also a natural who *trys* Lol trrryyss to formulate my own hair products. Question though, would I use the same amount for btms 50? that's all I have.
I have been watching all these leave-in- conditioner DIY recipes, and most of them use Btms 25 or 50 as an emulsifyer. But I have read that minerals in aloevera, fenugreek, and in similar ingredients, when mixed with btms 25, leave a salt like substance on hair. I have also read that Olium 1000 van be used as Btms alternative. But I am unable to find it in the market.
I can’t thank you enough for this recipe! I have 4C hair, and absolutely NO leave in conditioner has ever been able to moisturize my hair as much as this! Also having all the ingredients to make it actually makes it last a while, so I’m saving a lot more money in the long run than if I were to continue buying conditioners from the store. I couldn’t find mango butter, so I used Shea butter instead, and I added marshmallow root to the tea to give it some extra slip + a little more water since the marshmallow root soaks quite a bit up and makes it feel more slimey and thick. I have low porosity hair too, do you have any good suggestions on a good moisturizer I can add to my DIY leave in hair conditioner cream? Thanks
Hi I'm a huge fan of your videos, I love what you do. My question to you is this: if I want to make a bigger batch of this conditioner as 3 bottles of 8 oz what are the measures and the amount of preservatives. Tks
I would just use 3 times the amount used. So instead of 1 tbsp of mango butter use 3 and so on. I made this last night, after months of saying I was going to, and I think I may never buy body lotion again Lol. Just ordered rose essential oil and plan on tweaking the recipe so I can make it into a body lotion. Couldn’t find my mango butter so I used shea. The essential oils I used were rosemary, peppermint and lemon grass. Fallen in love with the scent of lemon grass since buying her products; which are AMAZING. Thanks for the video and great product line 😊 ❤️
Love this 🥰 What happens if i don’t wait 24hrs for the fenugreek? I bought all the ingredients except the horsetail 😔 will it be okay do it without it ?
I am curious, what do you do with your left over fenugreek seeds? I have been blending them into a very smooth paste and keeping it into a container in the fridge to use as my diy deep conditioner. I also have been trying it with a mix of a little bit of the paste with filtered water as a liquid leave-in when my fenugreek tea/spray is out. Do you happen to have any people with light hair using this? I'm wondering if it will tint light hair yellow from the tea? When I made the fenugreek tea it became much more like a gel and thicker. Do you suggest to not press the seeds even a little then?
I’ve been searching everywhere for BTMS 225 and I’m only seeing BTMS 50 and 25 and this includes Amazon. Have you any suggestions or is there a viable substitute?
I wanna make this soo bad i love your ayurvedic hair oil i made a few things and I'm loving them so much but I dnt hve BTSM n Optihen dnt no wat to use for substitute for now smh any suggestions 🙏 😊
BTMS is really cheap on amazon.. I personally like Millard emulsifying wax or polawax.. As far as a preservative, I would not recommend optiphen for beginning, as its a little tricky.. I use liquid germall plus or leucidal sf complete to preserve.. Both good, easy to understand, broad spectrum preservatives..

Hello is it possible to have an alternative for the rose water tea part of the recipe?
Hibiscus tea, or just plain water is fine
Is there a reason you use glycerin? I have high porosity hair that doesn’t like glycerin and was wondering if I could leave it out of the recipe
Hi! How much preservative do you have to use and if you don't use it how long does this last and how does it need to be stored? Thanks!
Hello, I'm new to Your channel & Loving Your diy's, I've been making simple diy's & want to move up in the game, I have Milliard Emulsifying pastilles, Polysorbate-20 & Phenonip, can these items be used to make this leave-in conditioner?? Thanks in Advance for Your response, I would Love making this with what I have on hand
Do you happen to have any people with light hair using this? I'm wondering if it will tint light hair yellow from the tea? When I made the fenugreek tea it became much more like a gel and thicker. Do you suggest to not press the seeds even a little then?
Could you please list the ingredients? I'm new to this and I've never heard some of the stuff you added. Is this good for kids?
Thanks a lot.
question, Do you have to use rose water? can you use something else ?
You can use something else
Hello please can i use emulsifiant wax??? because i don't have BTSM 225 right now. Your channel is helping me a lot 🙏. I just found you on instagram.
Yes you can! Welcome hun
@NowIamNappy just discovered your channel ♥️ do you keep your DIY butters in a cool dark area or the fridge?
I’ve been searching everywhere for BTMS 225 and I’m only seeing BTMS 50 and 25 and this includes Amazon. Have you any suggestions or is there a viable substitute?
What do you do when your mixture is more liquid and foamy? What should I add more of to make it thicker?
I've been told to lightly fold in the preservative, as you don't wanna compromise the integrity.
Could i use horsetail powder instead of the herb?
Yes they have powder as well as liquid form on Amazon
how do you get over the smell of fenugreek?
i have tried the smell is so strong
NowIAmNappy Is the hair washed after using it?
How long does it stay on the hair?
This is a leave in conditioner. No need to wash it out after using.
NowIAmNappy Thank you so much 😊
Does it have to be btms or can you use another emulsifier?
You can use another emulsifier
Hey, if I decide to leave it as a liquid do I still need to add preservative??
is btms the same as an emulsifying wax?
BTMS is a type of emulsifying wax
@@NowIAmNappy okay, thankyouuuu
👍
Whats the difference between rose water and rose tea? I make my rose water here at home the same way you made your rose tea.
Hey is it mandatory to use the BTMS??
If you don’t have BTMS, you need some emulsifier otherwise the water and oil phase won’t combine
@@NowIAmNappy Perfect thank you very much 😍
@@NowIAmNappy would honey or glycerin count as the emulsifier?
Why rose water AND rose water tea? Thank you😊
I just had both products on had, it adds more conditioning properties than just plain water. But if that’s all you have then use it
How long does this last without the preservative? And can I use fenugreek powder instead?
I wanna make this soo bad i love your ayurvedic hair oil i made a few things and I'm loving them so much but I dnt hve BTSM n Optihen dnt no wat to use for substitute for now smh any suggestions 🙏 😊
BTMS is really cheap on amazon.. I personally like Millard emulsifying wax or polawax.. As far as a preservative, I would not recommend optiphen for beginning, as its a little tricky.. I use liquid germall plus or leucidal sf complete to preserve.. Both good, easy to understand, broad spectrum preservatives..
