Great video. Just an fyi for people like myself that dig through the comments for gold; In terms of silica content, horsetail is ok but bamboo is greater, as it contains 10x more silica than horsetail. I've been searching for bamboo leaf powder or just plain bamboo leaf online. I've bought bamboo extract, it's white, works great. I make capsules out of it and also dissolve it in water when I do diy's. Diatomaceous earth also has a very high silica content.

Hey Hey I made it as a spray and OOH YEAH MY HAIR LOVES IT, but with just the fenugreek and horsetail, and I added olive leaf leaves (not many) and wheat germ oil (not much) IT WORKS GREAT....roses and me don’t get along 🤷🏽‍♀️ 😂 but ooooh horsetail and fenugreek is FANTASTIC
You gotta try olive leaf leaves 👍🏾👌🏾

Have you ever thought about using tallow as a moisturizer base instead of the chemicals? If you mix melted tallow and olive oil, then add your desired seasonings and keep stirring until the tallow starts to set, you get a nice hair and scalp moisturiser! Hair never dries out. You can mix the tallow with castor oil too. Or any other oil you like 😉

My hair is A LOT to manage but w/your help, it's been a much easier & simpler route of doing this. When I saw the shine & softness after taking down my 4 braids, literally right before the casting...I thought, "no way, look at this! My hair is GORGEOUS!" It usually looks so dry & pitifully. These ladies laughed at my hair while in the store, just 3wks ago. So sad! They said, "she should do something w/it." They had no clue, I've been trying products for 3yrs & always ended up a mess of a do. I'm just so overjoyed bc this is what I was looking for. I have been watching all these leave-in- conditioner DIY recipes, and most of them use Btms 25 or 50 as an emulsifyer. But I have read that minerals in aloevera, fenugreek, and in similar ingredients, when mixed with btms 25, leave a salt like substance on hair. I have also read that Olium 1000 van be used as Btms alternative. But I am unable to find it in the market.

I can’t thank you enough for this recipe! I have 4C hair, and absolutely NO leave in conditioner has ever been able to moisturize my hair as much as this! Also having all the ingredients to make it actually makes it last a while, so I’m saving a lot more money in the long run than if I were to continue buying conditioners from the store.
I couldn’t find mango butter, so I used Shea butter instead, and I added marshmallow root to the tea to give it some extra slip + a little more water since the marshmallow root soaks quite a bit up and makes it feel more slimey and thick.
This + Eugenia Kelcy’s leave in hibiscus/fenugreek spray has helped my hair so much! Thank you thank you, thank you!

I would just use 3 times the amount used. So instead of 1 tbsp of mango butter use 3 and so on. I made this last night, after months of saying I was going to, and I think I may never buy body lotion again Lol. Just ordered rose essential oil and plan on tweaking the recipe so I can make it into a body lotion. Couldn’t find my mango butter so I used shea. The essential oils I used were rosemary, peppermint and lemon grass. Fallen in love with the scent of lemon grass since buying her products; which are AMAZING. @@SekhmetsMagickalSpiritualDIYs If you are against or alergic to BTMS, I understand but it is more conditioning and detangling than any emulsifying wax I've tried in a diy conditioner or a leave in. If you get the chance to try... you should 😉
I use it since I began to do my own haire care products 4 years ago and I have never got any issue.
I clarify my hair regularly to avoid build up.
Tell us if you try 😊

Hey girl, I know this is an older video, I've been wanting to ask you this question for a minute so I just decided to pick one of your videos an ask.
Do you know if fenugreek tea has the same benefits as a fenugreek mask?
I really want to incorporate fenugreek in my hair care regimen more often but I'm low porosity and don't want to over due the protein and or strength benefits of fenugreek. My diy hair oil contains fenugreek and plenty other strengthen ayurverdic herbs such as neem, amla, shikakai, aritha, avocado seed, rose petals, rose petals, aloe powder, flaxseed powder and other stuff I'm tired of typing lol. Oh yeah plus essential oils we all use....
Any advice you have to offer would be helpful. My concern is that I've been using fenugreek tea my last 2 wash day like every other wash day truthful mixed with hibiscus tea. But its due time for my protein treatment the first of next month (I've been trying to get closer to protein tx every 4 weeks instead 6 weeks because for me 6 weeks typically turns into 8 and weeks and I think that's probably not the best thing for me low porosity thick hair. I'm like 4a across the bottom 4c in my crown and the front is like I guess 3c its more wavy then curly in the front
    Thanks in advance.
I love your tip Tuesdays btw.

Do you happen to have any people with light hair using this? I'm wondering if it will tint light hair yellow from the tea? When I made the fenugreek tea it became much more like a gel and thicker. Do you suggest to not press the seeds even a little then?

BTMS is really cheap on amazon.. I personally like Millard emulsifying wax or polawax.. As far as a preservative, I would not recommend optiphen for beginning, as its a little tricky.. I use liquid germall plus or leucidal sf complete to preserve.. Both good, easy to understand, broad spectrum preservatives..
