I was convinced I couldn't use Aloe Vera in my hair because every time I used store bought products with Aloe in it, my hair would go weird ( all shrunken and hard). I was mad at it, tbh. But with all the hype with fresh aloe, I decided to bite the bullet and patch test the fresh leaf on the back of my hair, all ready to rinse it out if I felt any adverse affects. But y'all, the results were amazing, I'm so happy that I can use it on my hair now. I'm still careful as I'm highly protein sensitive (can't use coconut oil, no matter how often I try 🙄), but so far so good.
Omg! This is a bomb mixture, and I could definitely see the shine on your hair through my screen.Yeah, I’m definitely giving this a try, and congratulations on 10K 👏🏽👏🏽
Ok. I'm so late to this party, but I really want to make this. I have the loose leaf hibiscus 🌺. How much if that should I use in this recipe? Your HAIR needs her own name in this vid! So gorgeous!
It looked like you were making jello. I love hibiscus. It makes my hair so soft I will probably use this if I do a wash n go. I might use flax seeds as a thickener since I usually have that on hand
Hi, 2 questions can I use the hibiscus flower off both tree instead of the dry flowers and how would I prepare the flowers? Can I use flaxseed gel to replace the xanthum gum
Thanks for another recipe to use my Xanthum gum😂😂. I bought mine at Whole Foods. I have both dried hibiscus petals and powder. I will try making your recipe with the dried flowers as a tea, and maybe add some of my other herbs to it😉. And I love everything aloe vera!! Can't wait!
@NowIAmNappy I must Bragg on you I've been using one of your tea's for about 3 week to maybe a month and half and I've seen an extreme change in my hair abd I've used other things to where it was a very slow progress but you are a G.O.A.T. for helping me with some area's with my hair so Thank you Thank you seriously I been leaving you messages on other tea's you've done can't wait til you read the other one's 🥰🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hi, love your time spent on educating all of us on Diy products and how you make them! 👏👏👏👏I wanted to ask since I have high porosity hair, I would like to know can you suggest the best silk proteins I can invest in on Amazon? Silk protein is excellent for my high porosity hair which makes a huge difference with my texture especially on my ends. Thx new subby here.
Thank you so much for this! I made it and I'm not clear on how my hair should feel after, it felt abit crunchy and with tiny little flakes, it also felt completely dry after a couple of hours. Idk where I went wrong. Love your channel!
Now this is a recipe I can easily do. I already have some hibiscus tea at home and I can easily get xanthan gum. Would aloe vera powder work instead of fresh aloe vera?
Hi, love your videos! Thank you for the useful tips & information! If I'm using aloe vera juice, glycerine and a few oils...which preservative do you recommend?
Hi dear...I visited your store cause my sis bought your oil but my question is where did get your containers and bottles please if you don’t mind, thanks for all your wonderful videos
Okayyy sis sell them.make moneyyyy off it,now I can't find Xanthum gum in my supermarket which other stores they sell them @ could you instead you arrowroot powder, where they sell those as well?
So 1 1/4 cup of liquid to 1tsp of optiphen. So if I made 2 cups of liquid, would 1 1/2 tsp of optiphen be the required amount of preservative? Also if I add essential oils to my mixture, will optiphen be enough, or do I have to use geogard? I have both preservatives.
It depends, glycerin attracts moisture from the environment into the hair strand. It does not make my low porosity hair frizzy unless humidity is crazy. Some people with high porosity hair may find glycerin to make their hair a bit frizzy.
Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us, I love watching them and appreciate all of the knowledge you provide! I've been wanting to take some things from each of your DIYs to create something! I like the idea of hibiscus for shine and strength, as well as adding marshmallow root for slip and mango butter for nourishment and sealing. Would xantham gum still be useful in this case? I'm from Canada and BTMS is hard to find here without a lot of shipping costs :( also, would we still have to add a preservative?
So that’s a loaded question, BTMS is a cationic emulsifier which is necessary for a conditioner lotion and a number of products. Xanthan gum is an emulsifier but not cationic, So you won’t be able to create a true conditioner, it does create and can be used for a gel though
I have never used fresh Aloe Vera and I have seen videos regarding a yellow poison that needs to be extracted from the plant before using. Will you please address this for me. Thanks.
I think you supposed to wash out 15 or 30 mins later and do this once or twice a week but I don't wash my hair regularly but I'm willing to give this an try it said the same thing about red onion oil so I help my advice helps us or some one !
If i dnt hve the other preservative can the xantham gum be used as preserved and last for a months still because i dnt hve the other one you mentioned and i want mines to last for a little while ?
Congratulation on your Growth, and also Congrats to the two winners! I just made some of this awesome conditioner, I love using Xanthum Gum, and I use optiphen Plus for the first time! I love your videos and personality, Love Sekhmet SapphyreSun

@@NowIAmNappy That’s awesome and you’re welcome!
I normally mix the gum with the glycerin it smooth it out very well then i add it to my mixer
Ohhh that’s a great idea, I just tried it and loved the results
Hi the gum isn't g
Bad for our hair?
@@peloc5660 xanthan gum is a great thickener, common for hair formulas
This is perfect! My fine hair may react better with a liquid leave in than the creams I've been using for years. Thxs!
One tip I learned from Sherea DelSol is to mix the xanthan gum into the glycerin and it's easier to put it in that way. Hope that helps.
I think I will start with the Hibiscus rinse and then graduate to this recipe.
KIEARRA SHEARD’s TWIN!!!! Omg so glad I came across your channel!
Here you go again with another bomb diy!!!
Thank you kindly

Hello question please do you put in fridge or can you leave out?
It looked like you were making jello. I love hibiscus. It makes my hair so soft
I will probably use this if I do a wash n go. I might use flax seeds as a thickener since I usually have that on hand
Yes use what you have, this would go well with flaxseeds.
Your hair was so defined! Great results! I'm loving these Tip Tuesdays!

This looks amazing! I noticed a red tint in your hair is that from using hibiscus?
No, it’s from the henna, I henna every 6 weeks
Can you use aloe gel from the jar? I don't have the leaf.
@@darceyderosa2426 yes its just not as potent but it still works good

I wonder how this compares to using flax gel and is there added value to mixing the two.
Another good one to try. 👀 those curls!

Try adding a leave in underneath the gel. Also maybe use a little less to avoid flakes

So would a replacement for the xanthum gum be btms?
No guar gum

Can you use emulsifying wax if your don’t have the gum ?
Hello, not sure if i asked before. Can I use aloevera juice, instead of making mine from scratch? If yes what quantity?
Thank you.
Your definition is amazing I will be trying this, thank you so much for sharing.
Yay!! Awesome can’t wait to hear about your results
How long does this product last with a preservative
Thank you for the video. I dont know if someone else has already asked, but can i use hibiscus powder to make the tea?
Thank you 😊 this works great for definition.
You’re welcome ❤️
I will try this but add shea butter to mine.nice video.im a new subscriber
Nice, let me know how that works
Do you leave the herbs in your ayurvedic oil??
I do, I strain them when I pour it out. I like to get maximum benefits
Hi Can guar gum be used to thicken a diy deep conditioner or would emulsifying wax be a better option? Btw I love your videos 🥰
Love Your UA-cam Videos
Thank you hun!!!
Congratulations 🎉 hon ❤ 10k
Thank you love!!
Can xanthum gum also be used if you include shea or mango butter?
Can I use Hibiscus powder and use this as a deep conditioning without shampooing out, just as a regular rinse?
AMAZINGGGG
Thank you
what would the measurement be if you used hibiscus powder?
Hiii 😍😍😍 this looks great. But how long is the shelf life for it? And does it need to be stored in the fridge?
I used a preservative, it should last a few months
How long does this keep with the preservative?
My twistout cameout so amazing so much shine do you retwist your hair at night how u keep your together for the next morning ?
No I put on a bonnet, it lasts for 5 days
Okayyy sis sell them.make moneyyyy off it,now I can't find Xanthum gum in my supermarket which other stores they sell them @ could you instead you arrowroot powder, where they sell those as well?
I love your videos keep me coming with the diys! I have hibiscus powder how much would I use?
I would start with like 2 teaspoons of powder
I used hisbiscus leaves. Can u put it in ur hair everday
Can I add a preservative to this and if so , do it needs to be refrigerated and how long can this leave in last ?
Yes I added a preservative to this. No need to refrigerate if you do
Skincare
Awh congrats to the 2 winners!! So nice of you to choose 2 people ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Hi, can I use aloevera juice instead of the leaf?
Yes you can, the xantham gum will thicken the recipe to a gel
What does the optiphen do?
Aminah Uwais it’s a preservative. Allows the batch to not get mold or bacteria
Can you do it without xanthum gun?
You can, it just won’t be a gel, but a nice spray leave on
How do you know how much optiphen to add?
Moni Q optiphen says you use 1% of your mixture so I do the math
@@NowIAmNappy thank you!

Disregard my message about the clay. I'm watching to many videos 📹
