You brought up fan boying over Mitch and my husband asked why I fan girl so hard for Mitch and then he started singing Side about 10 feet from us and he looked at me and said, “ok I get it now”
NEVER GONNA CRY AGAIN. I don't think I need to say much to convince you but in case I do MITCH LEADS THE ENTIRE SONG IN a very high pitched voice. He wrote the song as well. Matt literally sounds just like a bass guitar. He and Kevin had a live chat when the album came out and he told Kevin he had to take 4 or 5 passes on it before he got it right. I tweeted him a majority of the population couldn't have done it in 1000 tries. Its only a visualizer video. Hopefully, this will convince you. Mitch leads the song, matt sounds like a literal bass guitar. Mitch is high pitched the entire song. If you do react to the visualizer video, I'm hoping you will do a double reaction and do the lucky ones medley from the 2023 concert tour, I think know they did a clip of it at the US shows. I'm not sure about Europe and Australia and Iceland. My favorite performance of the lucky ones medley is on a you tube channel of a person named brandy. I really hope you react to it. I know it would make a ton of other pentaholics day and of course mine too. If you don't like it you can ban me from suggesting songs again. Lol Oh, and obviously I love all of your reactions of course. I would suggest anchor but that is more powerful Mitch lead and they layered his voice as well. You might have a heart attack with that one. Lol. That I would like to prevent. Lol Sorry for the long comment. Love you!!
I have seen them live twice, both times with VIP tickets. They are not only some of the most phenomenal musicians ever, they are also some of the kindest, most thoughtful human beings ever. They have the individual hearts of saints and combined love of angels.
I saw them live with VIP tickets on their Christmas tour last year. It was the type of concert that would deeply move you. Pentatonix is so amazing that it is really hard to believe, and then.... there is Kevin's Fifth. Mind blowing 🤯🤯
I have pretty much given up on live performances because I've been so disappointed when hearing the performers without autotune to save them. Pentatonix in concert is absolutely incredible!
Another great reaction! I saw them live for the first time in London in May and after nearly 40 years of listening to live music, it was the best live performance I have EVER seen. It's such a shame you couldn't make it to London for their shows. You must go next time they come to the UK! Can you do a fun one next - their version of Ariana Grande's 'Problem'. There is a brilliant Live 3FM live version. The video is good too. The Mitch doing the Iggy Azalea rap will BLOW YOUR MIND!
I love the difference in intonation that Scott puts on notes. I've heard this is his way of showing its not lip-synced. It's not a copy of their official recorded version, but a version that stands on its own.
You should listen to their cover of creep live on the masked singer! It’s insane - especially once they are revealed, that performance in my opinion is the very best even over their official released version of creep.
It is absolutely surreal to see them live! My husband didn’t know they did this song and when they started singing this a few weeks ago he was so excited and they definitely didn’t disappoint.
I'm taking my girls to see PENTATONIX live on December 16th... Can't wait!!! Once in a life time concert, and we are going to make the most of our Christmas trip in Knoxville TN. So blessed to go hear their amazing vocals.
The proof that they can sing live, whatever they sing in the studio. Unlike most of the singers in today's society due to all of the pitch correction and autotune.
I was at this concert... along with my 81 year old (and physically disabled) landlord that I introduced to PTX just a couple of months earlier. It was quite the ordeal to get there (we live walking distance from Disneyland in Orange County - quite a long way from the Hollywood Bowl despite both being in SoCal) and had to drive multiple freeways and then catch a bus (the parking at the venue is notoriously and horrendously bad). But despite needing a wheelchair, she enjoyed every minute of it... And then we saw them again in Irvine (much closer to home) a month ago to the day. It's never too late to become a Pentaholic!
Saw them live for the first time ever a month ago. Danced all night, near tears several times from the beauty of their performances, could NOT believe how fun it was!
I thought about each rendition telling a different version of the same story. Simon & Garfunkel = A warning Disturbed = A war Pentatonix = There is hope
I went to Rock Fest in KCMO one year where Disturbed headlined after David Draiman came back. They closed with Sound of Silence and holy shit, it gave me goosebumps. There were 50,000 people just listening completely enraptured. It was hauntingly beautiful and it's become a favorite of mine. Pentatonix did such a great job with their cover as well and I would love to see them live.
I love your reactions and how you’re not afraid to show whatever emotions the music is making you feel! My only suggestion is when you pause, which we all understand is often with Pentatonix, could you please go backwards a little so we can get back into the flow…especially after a longer pause. I love how you automatically smile every time Mitch starts singing 😄…it’s like you can’t help yourself. ( You might want to watch the video also…it’s really good). I vote for one of their originals Happy Now. It, along with Sing, are my happy place songs by PTX
Seeing them live a couple months ago was literally the best concert I've ever been to. The set list was amazing, they did all my favorites as well as their newest single. If you ever get the chance to see them, jump on it!
A few of my favourite PTX's live performances are the Season of Love performance they did for the 4th of July in 2021, the Star Wars Tribute and the What is this feeling? performance they did for Wicked's 15th anniversary, but also I'd recommend any of the evolution of videos you haven't seen yet
Pentatonix slays me every time. They put their own spin on a song and make it fresh and new. One of the most talented groups around. If you are going to do a cover of a song you have to do it different or better than the original which is a Pentatonix signature. Love your reactions
They are such tireless performers, I’m convinced they are most at home singing live, as opposed to musicians who create their sound in the recording studio. They did a Christmas tour last year, toured the world this year and they’re preparing another holiday tour this year. Loved your reaction, as always. Peace …
Watching this and commenting a second time. 😂. I’ve seen them live twice, and both times they were amazing. What has always impressed me about their live performances is that they have no instruments to hide behind or lean on…all of them sing or hum or create harmonies on each and every song. I imagine tours must be exhausting.
It IS so cool! You MUST see them in concert some day. You must. I highly recommend 90’s Dance Medley from this concert. I second someone’s recommendation for the 2021 Yale livestream, as well as delving into Mitch’s solo work (he’s recently released 4 new songs and they are all 🔥🔥🔥) and listening to Superfruit’s The Promise. Oh, and yes, Mitch 💜🥰😇- agreed.
Especially for you as a huge Mitch fan "Joyful Joyful Live from the evergreen Christmas tour" is really a must-see.!! Hope you will find the time to react to this. It's another level of Mitch slap ;)
Another great PTX reaction! I’m patiently waiting to see you experience their cover of Havana. It’s not live, but will blow your mind. You’ll be glad you got to see Kirstie in it. 🔥😊
Saw them live last month. I thought some of their songs were even better live as Scott especially, utilized his vocal range with slight variations from their original version. Mitch and Matt did a section together that was great and hilarious.
Great reaction! Your usual high energy and enthusiasm 😊 I was so excited to see them live in Tampa,FL in August. They truly did not disappoint with their choice of songs and their unique personalities 🤗 Well worth sitting in the sweltering heat in the amphitheater. Please more live PTX songs 💕
You loved their 90s dance medley so much. You should watch the live version from the Hollywood Bowl. It’s really amazing. And Mitch kills all of his parts!!! So good
many thanks to Simon & Garfunkel for writing & recording this classic warning to an increasingly isolated, non-responsive society....remember, that was 50 + years ago ! ....they made it possible for Disturbed, Pentatonix and others to reinterpret this for an even "colder" society.........
I heard someone describe this version of Sound of Silence as "more hopeful" and that's been the way I have described it since. Definitely not as dark as some of the other versions.
They are so wonderful live! Saw them in September with VIP tickets, and it was an evening to remember. You're correct, there are a lot of live performances out there to listen to. One nice series is the 2021 Yale Livestream videos that PWN uploaded. Good quality sound on those. I would also recommend (as have some others) some of their solo projects. They are very different than the Pentatonix things that they do together, but all still brilliant! Kevin has a number of great videos. Probably the one most recommended is his "KOver" of Down. Mitch has a number of things released over the past few years under his "Messer" project. The most recent one released yesterday was "Halfway". He hasn't released a video so far (just audio on streaming platforms) but again PWN uploaded a lyric video for it. He does have other songs that have videos. And Scott released an EP at the end of July. 3 of the 7 songs have music videos, 1 has a lyric video, but he's said that he has filmed music videos for all of them, so we're still waiting to get those. All except "Mars" were filmed in Iceland at the end of Pentatonix's European tour earlier this year, and the visuals are stunning.
Hearing them live just proves that their talent is genuine and not made in a studio! I they do incredible arrangements to every song they sing. Coming into the Christmas season you need to do Carol of the Bells (my favorite PTX song and number 5 on their most viewed videos) Also they came out with a fun song last year Kid on Christmas with Meghan Trainor.
If you ever get a chance, go see them live they are awesome. I finally got to see them live this year , 2023, just outside of Detroit, Michigan. I've been waiting years to go see them it was awesome
You are great. I have been honored to attend two of Pentatonix's Christmas shows one in California and one in Texas. They are even more incredible live. You really need to make an effort to attend. Also, Pentatonix will be appearing in a Netflix product movie called "Meet Me Next Christmas" starring Christina Millian and Them. It will be released sometime within the next Christmas Season. Pentatonix is the best and I hope to see more of your reactions. Thank you. 🥰🥰
You would love them live. I’ve seen their Christmas concert in upstate NY and this year at the Apollo in London. They are absolutely amazing live. So much energy and they truly look like they love singing together. Keep the reactions coming please!
I've always preferred "live" versions...even though their 'official' videos are superb...nothing tops the energy, performance or crowd factor of *LIVE!* music.
Both Mitch and Scott have solo stuff out and they do Superfruit too. Also Kevin Olisola does great stuff on UA-cam you have to see. He plays cello beautifully.
I read somewhere that the original Simon and Garfunkel version was a warning of the future; the Disturbed version displayed the anger that we didn't listen; lastly, the Pentatonix version shows us it's not too late, there is still hope if we heed the warning.
This is an example, in my opinion, where this live version is actually better than the official video!!! I often wonder if Paul Simon has heard PTX’s version of S of S. As he wrote it back in th e 60’s, I’d really be interested in what he thought of it. Also, this is a fine example of what a pure talent Mitch is…no venturing into the stratosphere…just his beautiful beautiful voice!!!
Simon and Garfunkel's 'version' is the original, Paul Simon wrote this and MANY other iconic songs. You are doing yourself a disservice not checking out their Sing-Off run...their take on these songs, when they had just literally formed just weeks before are astounding
You are without a doubt the most engaging reactor on the planet! I do notice you seem to pick songs that get enormous views. There are a myriad of PTX songs that don't get the attention they deserve, one is a live version of "Seasons of Love" from a TV special. I think you would like it a lot!
I read somewhere that Simon and Garfunkel version the prediction, Disturbeds version was the very real present and PTXs version was hope for the future...or something to that effect.
Definitely check out Kevin's solo celloboxing. There are a hundred videos of Kevin's Show but this one's the best, live with PTX at his hometown: ua-cam.com/video/DbCasvcNx78/v-deo.html
My favorite PTX reactor.....just seeing your video pop up in my feed makes me smile. I know you've seen quite a few so maybe you've done these already, but: originals Sing (so upbeat & fun), Happy Now and Anchor (Mitch-heavy but only a visualizer), Problem (MITCH!!), and a fave mash up is New Rules X Are You that Somebody (Kevin & Matt excel!) I'm looking forward to them! Oh, and baby PTX back in the Sing Off.....if you don't want to invest the time in the whole show, Born to be Wild, Let's Get it On (Scott!!), and Dog Days are Over (SURPRISE!) are the consistently favorite performances and will knock your socks off!
Hi, Can you please react to "Citizen Queen", they're a female acapella group, which was founded by Scott Hoying of Pentatonix. They are amazing and I'm sure you'll like them!!! (Some of their songs/MV's include "Never Enough, No Tears Left to Cry, Evolution of Girl Groups, Killing Me Softly)!!!
Hi, I’ve been waiting for the next Pentatonix reaction. Funny you mention the Lion King, they did a cover of one of the songs from that movie, Can you feel the love tonight. Have you seen that video? Great review xxx
I am so excited to be seeing them in December 🤩 I don’t think you’ve reacted yet to New Rules X Are You That Somebody. I would love to see you do a reaction of that song. And yes, if you already have I’ll be embarrassed 😊
Why don't you have a Pentatonix playlist? I don't KNOW what all you've reacted to, because I can't find it. That makes it very hard to make recommendations.
@@camillep3631 Can you give me a link? I just searched for it again and I found a lot of other playlists, including a Patreon Exclusive list, but no Pentatonix.

Very true❤❤
I’ll sum it up… Pentatonics is a miracle sent by God.
You brought up fan boying over Mitch and my husband asked why I fan girl so hard for Mitch and then he started singing Side about 10 feet from us and he looked at me and said, “ok I get it now”
That is too funny.

He always adds fab riffs. Love them!
One thing I loved about seeing them live was watching them alternate time in the spotlight. And they seem so proud of each other!
Ah I love that!
Please react to Mad World and Come Along. You'll love them.
Paul Simon wrote this back in 1964. He’s an amazing song writer. This is my favorite upgrade to it.
The evolution of ptx live at hollywood bowl 2022 livestream is a must watch
You should listen to their cover of creep live on the masked singer! It’s insane - especially once they are revealed, that performance in my opinion is the very best even over their official released version of creep.
Matt's bass is incredible in this. I saw them live in August and it was unforgettable. I watch the videos I took and it takes me right back.
You NEED to listen to I Just Called to Say I Love You by PTX. It’s my favorite and I cry every time I hear it. I love all of your videos!!
It is absolutely surreal to see them live! My husband didn’t know they did this song and when they started singing this a few weeks ago he was so excited and they definitely didn’t disappoint.

You’re reactions are what I watch when I’m feeling down. Your excitement is infectious. Thank you & keep it up! So much fun
Messer (Mitch) has new songs out. They are awesome.
You really have to appreciate Matt with this song….especially with the live versions. So good.
Simon and gatfunkle = original
Disturbed = revitalised
Pentatonix = re imangined
💯💯
I thought about each rendition telling a different version of the same story.
Simon & Garfunkel = A warning
Disturbed = A war
Pentatonix = There is hope
Their concerts are SO HIGH ENERGY! They're absolutely amazing! ❤
My husband, who has been to hundreds of great concerts, said it was one of the most entertaining concerts he had ever seen!

Great reaction. Thank you. Good points. I enjoyed your reaction. Pentatonix is amazing.
It is mindblowing to see them live. I was in the first row at the last concert in Berlin. Best night of my life ♥
I love your reactions and how you’re not afraid to show whatever emotions the music is making you feel! My only suggestion is when you pause, which we all understand is often with Pentatonix, could you please go backwards a little so we can get back into the flow…especially after a longer pause.

Have you reacted to Messer (Mitch Grassi) yet? I love OBLIVION.
PTX was just Here in St.Louis, Missouri In Aug.2023. They Were AWESOME !!!!🥰
Have goosebumps every time i listen to their version of this song. They are simply amazing!
Seeing them live a couple months ago was literally the best concert I've ever been to. The set list was amazing, they did all my favorites as well as their newest single. If you ever get the chance to see them, jump on it!

I love the Kirstie Kick in Seasons of Love!! ❤️
They are FANTASTIC to see live and sound just as good and , dare I say, even better at times
Pentatonix slays me every time. They put their own spin on a song and make it fresh and new. One of the most talented groups around. If you are going to do a cover of a song you have to do it different or better than the original which is a Pentatonix signature. Love your reactions

I was at that show and it was awesome! I saw them in 2014 at a state fair so to see them at this venue with this production was amazing.
I saw them live last year. Sooooo amazing. I’m going to a show for their Christmas tour. I’m so excited. You HAVE to go see them.
They did this song when I saw them in Concert Sept 14th, they were incredible.
You can tell their voices have just gotten better over time. Absolutely AMAZING! I'm seeing them in December for new Christmas music! SOOO excited!! 🥰
Seeing them in December as well...I too am soooo excited!!!
❤they are doing it better? Most definitely. Thank you so very much. I do appreciate your reaction to this
You loved their 90s dance medley so much.
I Love PTX and I really love this Live. Matt slays his verse. ❤
I heard someone describe this version of Sound of Silence as "more hopeful" and that's been the way I have described it since. Definitely not as dark as some of the other versions.

They just don't miss, and yes it is TOTALLY awesome to see them live. You gotta go, it's a bucket list thing lol.
One comparison I've seen for the three major versions of this song really rings true.
Simon & Garfunkel: Warning
Disturbed: Angry
Pentatonix: Hopeful
Saw them live - phenomenal!!!
Love your reactions...thanks.
If you ever get a chance, go see them live they are awesome. I finally got to see them live this year , 2023, just outside of Detroit, Michigan. I've been waiting years to go see them it was awesome
I’m going to their Christmas show this year on Dec. 3rd. First time, can’t WAIT!!
You are great. I have been honored to attend two of Pentatonix's Christmas shows one in California and one in Texas. They are even more incredible live. You really need to make an effort to attend. PTX LIVE 🔥🤘
They are awesome! Saw them in New Jersey. You have to see them live. Seen there Christmas show twice. Going again in December for Christmas show
I've always preferred "live" versions...even though their 'official' videos are superb...nothing tops the energy, performance or crowd factor of *LIVE!* music.
Both Mitch and Scott have solo stuff out and they do Superfruit too. Also Kevin Olisola does great stuff on UA-cam you have to see. He plays cello beautifully.

I just saw them sing this live a few weeks ago.. they are so amazing! ❤
Would love to see you react to their mash up of wide awake and as long as you love me it's baby tonics and it's amazing and Kevin will blow you away
This is an example, in my opinion, where this live version is actually better than the official video!!! I often wonder if Paul Simon has heard PTX’s version of S of S. As he wrote it back in th

You are doing yourself a disservice not checking out their Sing-Off run...their take on these songs, when they had just literally formed just weeks before are astounding
Their concerts feel 5 minutes long. Theyre so engaging and they keep you so focused
I have tickets to see them next month! Super excited!!
You are without a doubt the most engaging reactor on the planet! I do notice you seem to pick songs that get enormous views. There are a myriad of PTX songs that don't get the attention they deserve, one is a live version of "Seasons of Love" from a TV special. I think you would like it a lot!
Its so telling when the luve version is almost exactly the same as the music video... definitely not any autotune
I read somewhere that Simon and Garfunkel version the prediction, Disturbeds version was the very real present and PTXs version was hope for the future...or something to that effect.
🎼🎶💜🎶🎼 .. totally fabulous !!!
Your reactions.. plus PTX...
Cant not smile
Please react to "Joyful Joyful" Live from the evergreen experience. I love Pentatonix and this is my favorite live performance from them.

Paul Simon, of Simon & Garfunkle, wrote the song.

They have just finish a world tour. They did London and Manchester, dude.😅😅😅❤❤❤
I heard them say that if they can't bring something to a cover, they won't do it.
Recommend their cover of Seasons Of Love (PBS televised version).
I’m telling you 11-27-23 to check out their rendition of Kiss By A Rose!!!! You won’t be sorry.
Not Covers....UPGRADES! 💜
You have to revisit the vast library of Postmodern Jukebox covers.
I would love to see a reaction video to the movie Savannah Smiles!!!
check out Disturbed version of Sound of Silence
Check out Scott’s live performances too
Why don't you have a Pentatonix playlist? I don't KNOW what all you've reacted to, because I can't find it. That makes it very hard to make recommendations.
he does have a playlist, I've referenced it many times
@@camillep3631 Can you give me a link? I just searched for it again and I found a lot of other playlists, including a Patreon Exclusive list, but no Pentatonix.
