God I love him so much since ever. He is so eloquent and chill. He's in my mind with everything he says and I can only say "true true". Especially when it comes to fav moves. I also loved vanishing stuns etc. (and have videos where I show this off :D)
as a high rated rogue at the time i wouldn't say Neilyo wasn't a defensive player, if anything the opposite... he was good with peeling which is just part of the class, and he was also really good with ccing to set up a kill opportunity, which can use a lot of cd's. defensive players hold cd's as long as possible and Neilyo was definitely not one to do that
Very interesting, although his comment about vanishing blinds being purely anticipation or prediction isn't strictly correct. Original TBC had long batching windows, so you absolutely could react to and vanish 'instant' spells like blind, it was just very difficult and partially dependant on various factors like your latency as well as general system delay (monitor...etc). Not many people were cognizant of these things back then. Back in 2008 during Season 3 I was at Uni in dorms and the internet I had there was connected to the main campus internet, which was an insane connection. I was getting around 20ms latency or lower in WoW with nagles algorithm disabled, an old registry trick you could perform to improve latency in games. Having a latency this low made WoW feel like a different game and it was possible to do certain things much easier than on a high latency connection, such as vanishing blinds.
this guy was a legend during tbc every time one's of his videos came out it was an event , he was so ahead of his time we would have to rewatch the video 3 times to understand it, he also got r1 in every tbc seasons , r1 in every us battleground in 2s during s3 ( which was the most competitive tbc seasons by far ), and did few blizzcon's . he was and will ever be the best tbc rogue .
He singlehandedly changed how everyone played the class. Legend of legends imo
Absolute legend! I’ve watched your videos over and over again and learned so much about rogue. This was like 18 year ago lol. Thank you for this 👌

Rogue makes you feel like a ninja. Like in naruto. That’s why I play one.
I came from Reddit and it said "The best rogue in TBC said..." I expedcted Merceder.

Another private server guy?
best
Half the shit he talks about and is shown in the vid won't be possible with batching effectively removed anyway. Whatever this game is it won't be TBC
i would destroy this guy 1v1
