BUSH REPAIRS|Victorian high country

- Опубліковано 9 лют 2024
- This weeks episode we have to do some bush repairs on the land cruiser which is not ideal. Fortunately our mate is a mechanic and is on hand to give us a hand.
We also celebrate a birthday and explore around the bright area. We say good by to our mates as they head off in a different direction and I'm sure we will see them again.

Happy belated Birthday Sue 🙂
Thank you
🌸💖🎈🍹 Happy Birthday sue we hope you had an amazing day 🐨🦄🦋🐬🍹🎁🍰
Thank you. I did. Very relaxing day 😁
You need to keep the 79 regular maintenance & checksup up to scratch and jobs recorded. Every 20 k during tyre rotation is a good time check the disc pad thickness and condition especially when towing a big caravan . That could have been a dangerous situation on the Billy goats with very little disc pad material. Safe travels.
Happy birthday, Sue🎉❤.
Thank you
Happy Birthday Sue .Bright is such a beautiful place you will need to revisit in autumn sometime when the colours change dramatically . As usual we enjoyed your video and look forward to the next one .
Thank you
We will definetly be back 😁
As per usual another great episode. We too have trouble with starlink satellites.
Looks like a very peaceful spot to spend your birthday Sue! 🥳😀
Oh it was superb. 😊
Happy birthday Sue! Glad you had a great day. You guys stayed in some awesome places this episode. Looking forward to seeing what you guys get up to next.
Thanks so much Jason, appreciate it. We have loved the Hugh country. Still a lot to see and do that we missed but will be back for sure. Have a great week ahead!
Happy birthday Sue❤
Thank you
Well done Sue…A bakery solves all ills. 🤣. I have to say that van of yours is one sexy looking beast
Thank you so much. 😁
Happy Birthday Sue 🎉 no need to stress Derick lol
Thank you
Happy birthday Sue 🎈🎉
Thank you
Didn’t realize how small in diameter the rotors on the Toyota were. The calipers must have to apply a lot of force to slow the big rig down. Keep up the great content and quality.
Thank you 🙌🏻
Well Happy Birthday Sue 🎉😊
Thank you
Lovely ep and spots and maintenance issues fix guys
Thank you. The high country is beautiful and we will be back at some stage
Hey Guys, great episode. We loved Bright and cant wait to get back there. I am a Christmas Shop Lovers and they have one of the best in Bright. Bright Brewery was great for a drink and lunch.I woulds love to see it in Autumn. Safe travels to you both.
Thank you so much
Great EP Guys. I was at Nug Nug a few weeks ago, great spot.

Its a great camp and the hosts are fantastic. Also a great area to explore the area
Another great episode guys.
Happy birthday sue 😊
Hey derek, get yourself a marks hydro brake booster with braided brake lines.
Best upgrade i did with slotted rotors.
Stops the big 79 real quick.
Thank you😁
I will definetly look into that. Thank you
Another year past congrats Sue 21 again great ep had to do rear rotors and pads on the Jeep before heading to Tassie would have thought the people who did your last service would have picked up that wear for u😢
Thank you. The cruiser was booked in so it happened before the service. All sorted now 😁
I would of thought the rotors would of been larger, but I've never seen I guess it's a 79 Series Toyota.
Love this one! A good behind the scenes and shows travel life isn’t always amazing!!
Ps. Love that you’re in our home town 😂
The internet is always shocking, especially when it’s busy in town
Thank you for watching 😁
Bright looks like a fun little town and we will be back
Great to see you had a great birthday, another great episode

Great Vid. How good is NUG NUG and Billsons. We ended up staying in NUG NUG for 2 weeks and did so many day trips to all the surrounding towns, mountains and waterways. We even did the Ned Kelly trail😂.
Safe travels.
PS. We had to change our rotors in our 76 series in Tassie. Went with perforated as well🙌
Happy Birthday Sue. 🎉 It looked like a perfect day 😊

Thank you. Appreciate the support. We will be doing a follow up ep soon
Happy Birthday Sue! Well done getting this epp up. Excellent viewing.
You’ve showcased all our fave spots close to home, glad you enjoyed them! When were you in Bright & Nug Nug in January? It didn’t look too busy for a change.
Thanks Kerry, mid Jan. It was great and. Not too busy..😊😊
That’s good to know as we always avoid it January. Might give it another crack. We’ve not taken our van down to Sheepyard & Fry’s as I was a bit hesitant but you’ve convinced me to go now.
Nice drive up to Lake Cobbler from Nug Nug if you’re back in the area
Thanks for the tip. Will be back
Happy Birthday Sue! 🥂🎂
Next time you are in Bright you need to go to Gumtree pies best pies in Vic, if not Australia
Another good episode guys which way you heading after the boat loader is fitted?
Thank you
At this stage we heading west
Hey guys do you think slotted rotors are much better than standard and are you going to do a weight video on the new rig regards Rodney
Did you clear the road for others with your winch?
Do you get great northern for free who would drink it otherwise
No we dont and we enjoy it
OMG, i get told time and time again, these 79's are bullet proof, nothing ever goes wrong until it does. Can't believe the size of the back rotors are they are tiny, no wonder they say the braking system on a 79 is terrible.
Yep they have a small rear axle and small discs unfortunately O What a Feeling
So David. Compare the rear axle rating of a 79 to the rear axle rating of what you drive. Unless you drive a 2500 or bigger yank tank I bet the 79 has a heavier rear than what you drive.
even if the 79 did have higher rear axle rating, they couldn't tow the weight a 2500 type truck can tow safely, not even close. The standard 79 is a terrible tow vehicle.
Cant complain about the 79. This issue was maintanance related. The 79 has been solid for us and almost 3 years towing 80% of the time i think it has done well considering the cape, the Gibb and done 100k kms
@@justvanningit I agree, not really a car problem, and they are very reliable 4WD, But the brakes are not the strong point for the 79 and only if they had an auto trans option, would be so much better. But if it works for you, that's all that matter.
You dont rotate ya tyres ever 5 -10 thousand KM's ??
