Thanks Scott. HNY mate. We’re discovering some great off grid locations in Central NSW during our leave. Off gridding on the Macquarie River at present. So nice… Just got out of the river…
Your video is fantastic. You gave great information for us newbies. Do you carry a chain saw? And what brand is your camp-fire please. Thankyou. Have a great 2025
Hi there, thanks for your encouraging comment. Yes, we have 10” Makita chainsaw. Takes the same battery as our blower and cordless drill. Very handy to have one. Our BBQ is Kings Premium Fire Pitt. It is sold with the premium BBQ grill.
Hi there, we filmed this while on holiday in November of 2024. Not too long ago. We’re on another holiday now through central NSW. Some great off grid stops in this part of the world. We’ll get another video out later in Jan.
Good morning, loved the video. We are from the ACT (Northside) and was wondering what the drive from Cooma through to the Tooma In was like with the van please? We also love the Omeo and Bairnsdale areas but hadn’t thought about the way you had done it. Happy New Year and might see you on the road. Cheers Mark
Hi Mark, we live in Denman Prospect on the Northside of Canberra. The drive from Cooma to Tooma was interesting. In general the drive was terrific. As you would expect, there were lots of very steep and winding roads (not to the point of dizziness) through the snowy mountains. Some amazing free camp spots deep in the mountains. We had a plan, so didn't stop at them, but they looked amazing, right next to flowing rivers. To your question... the drive was pleasant and very scenic with a surprise around every corner so to speak. We'd certainly do it again some time. I did spend a lot of time on the breaks keeping our rig down around 40km or less on the down hill runs. I did prefer to be pulling up hill which took the load off the breaks basically. We loved the experience and I'm sure you would too. Thanks for your question. Happy to answer any more you might have. Bruce
