Rodman would live his life like a rock star, stay out late partying and all, but would always show up to practice on time, never complain and do his job. Mad respect for that.

He didnt show up at all to practice when he went to Vegas for his “vacation” for 48 hours that was approved by Bulls coach, thats when Michael Jordan had to fly and come get him out of bed and have Carmen Elektra hiding in the room and get Rodman to practice

That bulls team was better than any other team to date! I've not followed basketball not ONE game since Jordan retired the 2nd time cause the 90s dominated that sport with great players and not just the bulls. John Stockton, Shaquille, Horace Grant, Jamal Mashburn, Pippen, Clyde Drexler, Kareem, Bird, Alonzo Mourning, Chris Webber, Hakeem, Dominique, Patrick Ewing, little Spud Webb, Scott Skiles, Reggie Miller, the Admiral, and on and on and on. The 90s rocked the n.b.a. so much that I've not EVER been interested in the sport since.

Rodman is right! The NBA has turned into a leauge where the players want the money up front before they prove themselves to the game of basketball for the fans and their teams. That's why between 1999-2011 the NBA has had 2 lockouts over contracts! This leauge of players play in a system where defense is played a lot less physical and demanding than in the 80's-90's era! that's the generation where Rodman, Jordan, Pippen, Bird, Magic and the rest of the legends are from! Rodman gives facts!

I miss the 90's even though I'm a Pistons fan. I fucking hated the Bulls but maybe deep inside sometimes rooted when Rodman had a good game, if it was against LA or Boston. AMAZING player, when it came to defense and rebounds he was beyond human, beyond nature, it was scary how good he was, you'd go to the fucking bathroom or some shit and a moment later he's got 10 more boards, 5 of them offensive

I can't remember that many specific days but I do remember the day Rodman joined the Bulls. I also know before then I did want him on the Bulls. He was right, I hated him when he was with Detroit because he was just a defensive rebounding machine. He would come off the bench and just work the Bulls to death. So that day I was just surprised that it wasn't just a fantasy team. It really was going to happen. What is really scary is only Pippen was still in his prime. I wonder what a team of them in 92, 93, or 94 would have been like.

I really think he was. Personally scoring is just one part of the offensive game. You have passing, cutting, screening, offensive rebounding, keeping the ball alive, etc. Rodman was a great passer, one of the best screeners and cutters ever, obviously great at offensive rebounding, and one of if not the best at keeping the ball alive of all time. He realized (with the Bulls) that with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on his team he didn't have to score, so he did everything else (very well).

I agree Jordan is the best basketball player hands down, but he had some of the best supporting teammates too. He was a bit conceded at his Hall of fame and even his mother looks a bit disappointed in his statement, but that being said he earned it. He had done amazing things with a basketball.

Larry Bird retired in 1992, I think.
But during 1995 he was very famous, still. Basket ball cards were very popular and among them were Larry.
    I used to support Bulls.

that kid wants to be like Dennis
i really think it`s a blessing to have any being look up to you.
I like Dennis because he isn`t afraid to do anything i.e he cross dresses and don`t even care what people say

Pipen improve his game and I think it was very important to MJ win his first title.Im from Brasil used to live in New England from 1987 to 1992 but I’m Detroit Bad Boys support and I used to hate Pipen but when Denis went to Chicago by the him and MJ treated him and became Bulls fan also.Denis knew MJ plays by his heart and even Pipen underpayed he gave everything to the team.So trust me I’m about 53 live down here in Brasil and Detroit and Chicago never took away out my mind and when started to think to give up about some project because they change The boring dynasty from LA and Boston and they paid a hard price to change NBA.

Rodman is probably the most underrated player in the history of the game. It`s not hard to figure, count the starting 5 players with the most rings and Rodman is in the top of the top 50. Winning 5 rings, he defended some of the greatest players to ever play the game, including Jordan, Magic, Bird and Shaq. If you have any doubts about his skills, go back and watch the playoff classics against Chicago, Boston and LA. Bill Russell, Shaq & Rodman are the best defensive players ever.

If not for a terrible call by referee Hue Hollins in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Bulls would have won that first championship the Rockets won. 1994

It's the time for Houston to win that is why they force Jordan to resign since he doesn't want to give the championship away. It's all about the script how they will do it and will profit more from it.

There will never be another player like rodman. The way he played was literally insanity in a good way. Purest hardworker in basketball. The guy did all the things that no one else wanted to do because he enjoys the hustle. There will be no one like ever again because of all those things I just said no one wants to do them nowadays. Bunch of spoiled lazy asses that think they are worth too much. They’ll get hurt.......🤦🏽‍♂️

if rodman didn't drink, he would of been that much better, pretty scary if he would of put some real time into offense and freethrows. Just a little bit of time.

    • @TheStygianAbyss24
      @TheStygianAbyss24 9 років тому +6

+rebar33 true. he didn't really focus on the offense fundamentals on the court. i read somewhere he just stayed in the gym and built his body and conditioned himself better. i guess he didn't really need to get into the mix since jordan and scottie can worry about the offense.

Dennis Rodman spitting facts. Truth can never be clearer. Players don’t play for the game but rather for money. They all want that shit up front that way they don’t gotta do anything.

Honestly, some of you mentioned Ben Wallace, Draymond, and Rick Fox. It’s truly disrespectful and shows you have only seen the UA-cam highlights. Some of us have seen the beginning as a rookie with the Bad Boys up to the end with LA. This guy is truly one of the GREATS.
