I think I would rather have sweeping edge. Spam hitting only works without knockback. Doesn't the sweeping edge mechanic also have some effect with armor stands on java?

Yes! You can trigger sweeping edge on an armor stand and hit mobs with it

Coming from Bedrock and switching to Java, I appreciate the sweeping edge feature of the sword that I never had before! Spam clicking is nice, but I think I'd have to give it to Java overall for the sword ⚔

Sweeping edge is really good! It's very useful in looting farms

Depends on what ur fighting. Java for hordes of enemies, bedrock for pvp.

I get that people who are into combat like the Java mechanics better. But, for me, there are plenty of games that are about combat if I wanted that. In Minecraft, I’m happy that Bedrock just lets me spam rather than actually having to master the mechanics.

bedrock of course, i tried both and sweeping edge is just so annoying lol i prefer to have bedrock's spam clicking than waiting on a cool down when mobs are on you attacking and taking your life away.

@@BrunoDanUy First of all, java can stack all enchantments excluding sharpness, smite and boa. I would make more sword enchantments mutually exclusive. Then there is the delay, we’ve had combat snapshots that try bringing some changes to the table but this is yet to go anywhere. Spam clicking isn’t better either. I’m not a game designer so the best solution is kinda hard to think of but I’d give swords more pros and cons / different ‘paths’ to take on
