@@joovah honestly yea, it isnt something you should totally rely on. However it is good in hole fights when the first person to get the opponent above them pretty much gets the advantage. It's a lot more reliable than jump resetting too, as long as youre falling down you will be safe, after all, unlike jump resetting the goal isnt to not take knockback at all, but rather not take upward kb.
Crystal pvp is definitely not my main gamemode and im only t3 but I know many people who use this tactic to avoid hitcrystals like rasplin who is a ht2 crystal pvper iirc
DO NOT ALWAYS AIM FOR HEAD. Aim for horizon line (head of player when on same y level). Its a misconception to aim for head, because if u use pythagorus u get more reach at horizon line rather than up high.
Edit: its a 1.8 thing but it applies to 1.9

With the totem one you need to double hand and only use the hot bar strat when ur safe from getting crystalled. You ghost a lot from the hot bar method and it’s overall worse

its good if your comboing someone and you pop from your own crystals if you open ur inv they will have time to escape but if you totem from ur hotbar u wont waste anytime

Double hand totems when getting dtapped, put weakness on other people while cpvping so they cant break crystals with plain hands, when stunning in axe you should be sure that you can stun dont wait so ur sure, be confident with your double clicks, so once you are you should instantly switch to a sword after double hitting with an axe, you were doing it a little late
hit selecting: hiting your oponent in the air when he hits you but not criting else sprint hitting (hit when u r going up not down) to start a combo
Let me 1v1 you
Whenever you are getting comboed/ crit chained in straighline you can perform a « side sweep » where you press A or D and turn around them and get a sweep hit. This alows you to get out of the combo and even start your own in some situations
You know how pressing space while getting hit makes you take no kb, but pressing S while being hit can make you take 0 kb without you being knocked upwards. Try that, but I think it works more with high ping.
4:20 doing this is an efficient way to get people to leave you alone or most commonly make people start targeting you because they will think they’re your bad
to get out of a combo, you can just start to move to one side and then actually go the other way, I'm not sure if there is an actual term for this as I'm not really that into pvp, but i like to call it baiting, its very similar to strafing, but with more of a plan.
for toteming in cpvp, you mainhand the totem in your hotbar, and hotkey a totem from your inv to ur offhand
You should use texture packs for crystal so totems and explosion dont take pver your screen.
try to critchain less, u can get more combos and practise in strafing or spacing

3:00 I think you can also use toggle sprint, press w and hit, stop and then do it again to get a combo, I find it easier
or just let go of W without toggle

You need to strafe to avoid more hits but spacing is also important

Extra tip: shift when you stun someone in axe, it is very helpful, it makes your hitbox go lower, unless if your opponent aimes down, they aint hitting you
TIP: You can use marlow optimizer for more crystal speed { its allowed in servers }

Inventory organization is key, at least organize your hotbar, but if you organize your whole Inventory, you be better off. That's why so many people lose in skywars (besides them straight up being bad). Organize your inventory how you feel most comfortable with.
after crystaling someone blow up an anchor above the obsidian (this creates a chane) only do this in hole fights do not do it flat also it takes a while to master
When you in a Crit chain Jump to the side and change bettween running forward it should help you not get hit as it takes a bit for you opponents to counter it
Personally i would recommend not using lunar for 1.19 but instead feather or fabric, if you got the right mods you can get way more fps and there are a ton of mods to improve gameplay
Does feather client improve fps? Cuz when i use i get same amount of fps as fabric
TIP: In axe, I usually put my crossbow in my second slot, because I put my index finger on my W, but when strafing I switch between middle finger and index finger on W, middle when I have to use ring and index for A and D, but my point is, main weapon in first slot, and main projectile in 2nd, this way your finger is closer to that button, I use my mouse's button 5 for 8th slot and button 4 for 9th slot, so in crystal its crazy op, plus in axe, stun the shield, spam just enough to get them away and instantly shoot with the crossbow, if no arrows are left, and they hold up their shield, try jumping behind them and critting or stun their shield and crit spam
just do jump reseting , S and sprint and combos all together ; I use that and Damn Thats soo good!

Best tip for Sword PvP if someome is pressing w and hits you, do a p-crit If they crit spam go for the combo and if their really good copy their moves.

Btw,you need to jump reset before actually doing the p-crit otherwise you'll just get knocked away and can't reach the enemy
@biotomato5469 I dont really jump reset I tend to do uppercuts and because I get 90ms I can get a cheeky pcrit but jump resetting is for people who can jump reset frequently.

here is the thing about jump pvp, usually I can sustain a combo using hit select, w-tapping and hit blocking, but jumping makes me take no kb, therefore no combos. Sometimes less kb isn't as important as combos :shrug:

In the axe shield pvp put axe in the off hand so you can disable opponent shield easily
But then u can't shield
aiming head gives more reash cus its completely 90 degree reach instead of digonal

Yo @rky if you ever need a cart teacher I’m here. Cart is a upcoming insane pvp method and easy to get in servers. I’ve gotten pretty good and I taught one of my friends who has almost surpassed me in skill. I know how to insta cart and it’s a really easy method to teach! Lemme know if you would like some help.

You can use the axe to disable a shield now use the sword to do more damage cause of the fast cooldown

when you do axe pvp when your opponents shield breaks sword them and after every hit block until your sword cooldown is over

for hit crystals i would aim for the chest or feet
The problem is that u keep trying to crit when u should try to combo a bit more - ik crits do more damadge but sometimes comboing is the strat (and if u jump alot it is easier to get comboed even if u try to jump reset)

Combos don’t help u when fighting good player, it not as important as crit and pcrit
im noticing your melee pvp needs some work with spacing. getting the right timing and spacing can get you as good as you are on 1.8

in axe pvp, when ur opponent is holding a shield against u, stun his shield and then switch to the sword and hit him to reset the hit cooldown

use an axe crit once in a while, most commonly when you enemy is stuck in a corner, its free crits for you.
for a good while i tried using left hand for the memes and for most right hand players it looks like a disadvantage :) i got insane strafes and combos on them
later on tho after i actually stopped playing skyblock (didnt last a while) and i tried to start pvping again i found it harder to do my usual pvp tactic. after learning it was my aim that became ass i tried to start using these tips and watchin some of vids. a lot of them helped ty fam

Shields in cpvp can become very annoying. Don’t over use them or the other person will just leave

I personally dont agree with the totem thing with ur hotbar. It is slowers in my opinions because for example; you pop and you then switch to ur totem to offhand and then open inventory to refill hot bar, that is 5 inputs (hotbar-totem-key, f, e , shift+hotbar-totem-key) when you can just open your inventory and press f which is 2 inputs

At 2:26 you werent actually just resetting, you were no kb critting which is when you speint into your opponent crit them and keep pressing w. Im sure you do know how to jump reset but i thought you should know
When youre crystaling, press f3, look at your coords, and alt + f4
If you have good aim, then you can walk through players and hit them with insane combos even if they are strafing.
Use a Speed potion so your enemy cant hit you and when your Low on health if you have regenoratoin splash potion then splash it but get far so the enemy doesent also get the effect
