@@jeanninelynn9622 so glad your were able to do this on your own! It’s nice to be able to do some of these repairs and many times it just takes a bit of courage, and some guidance. Stay safe and how to hear from you again!
Glad it was of help. I think most change them from inside the wheel well. that means jacking it up, taking wheel off, peeling back inner fender wheel. I am sure this way is faster.
Ive watched alot of instructionals.and you tackle everything that one will run into.with great angles and clarity.never seen a show where they make complex stuff simple.thats a true sign of genius!!thanks alot sir and i will tune into the show
You are too kind for sure, wnerk o. I am trying to improve my way of recording and the explaining the process. The first 100 videos were pretty bad. Each new video hopefully is better. (I have just uploaded the 433rd video). Stay safe, and thanks for you encouragement.
Thank you SO much for this video! I *just* changed both my headlight low beam bulbs on my 2009 Sebring myself and saved a trip to the shop! My boyfriend is SO impressed and my dad is ridiculously proud of me for it. Thanks Uncle Mark!!!
Glad to here kellebelleca and remember who now is your favorite uncle! Your subscribed right? I have a small playlist on this exact car that may help you later as well! Stay well & I am glad again you saved some cash!
Got it done! This video help me greatly. Bought bulb at (and hamburger ) on lunch break. At burger and fries and changed my bulb at same time! NOT Easy. But doable.
Sweet! There is another way, but you have to jack up the car and take 9th the tire and inner fender well. This is the quickest! Glad it worked for you.
Seems like headlights are getting harder and harder to get to. Some are a REAL pain. Good video. Also, I can relate to how things go well off camera, but are impossible on-camera.
Thanks Michael! I learn from each video things I can do better. (If you saw some of the older ones, well, they are lacking a lot.) Hopefully a few years from now, the new videos will be even more improved. Thanks for stopping by. Hope to hear from you again soon.
Thanks for the video, it really helped! Unfortunately, although the old bulb was definitely bad, the new bulb didn't work. Same bulb manufacturer and model #, and the passenger side bulb is working. I even tried a 2nd new bulb but no go...only thing I can think of is faulty wiring somewhere.
I have sold the car since this video. In the TPIM under hood (fusebox) is there a fuse for each headlight? If so, switch them and see if the issue switches sides. It probably is a weird looking square fuse with a clear top.(maybe...I and just throwing out a guess) Let me know how it goes, Stonewielder. (Possible it is somewhere else)
I have not had this unit out, but most of them require you removing the bumper cover as well as unusually there are hidden bolts holding the headlight unit underneath the cover. (sorry I don't have a video out on this yet.) I do have a similar one coming out in January 2024.
@@rotcivg59 Some vehicle computers are not happy when you upgrade to LED even if they are CANBUS ready or have resistors. I tried them in our 2010 Grand Caravan and it was a disaster. I had to swap back to the original halogen.
So sorry to hear it. This is a tough one to get out. Maybe if you take the inner plastic wheel well off, you might be able to access? I have since so the car so I can't verify it. Check out more of my car repair videos, MichaelAnthony. Thanks for stopping by.
$75 to change a headlight bulb? are you serious? man I used to work in bodyshop back in late 90s into early 2000s and thought prices then were excessive but $75 for a headlight bulb replacement is ridiculous. and people wonder why I fix everything and anything I possibly can on my own vehicles. hell I've done 7 engine swaps and 10 transmissions in my backyard garage without having lifts or anything special other than hand tools, couple floor jacks and a engine puller. sure some here can relate. Lmao
I am just guessing what the labour might be on something like this. I was just figuring at $150 labour rate, 1/2 hour might be what they want. This is why I always do what ever I can myself as well. Also one of the reasons I started posting videos. So many of these jobs could be done by the owner, if they just tried. Nice to hear your story Richard as well. Stay safe.

As someone with long skinny arms and tiny hands who always wants to work smarter not harder, I needed this

How about removing the full unit? Is it the same process?

Is led okay for head lights?
Check with local laws. Most places it is illegal to upgrade to LEDs if they did not originally come with them.
Will the car work with them? Like it won’t drain more or mess up the alternator?

I don't have that big of hands and I did this but still didn't quite have enough room to quote reach it.
