At the top of the hill of the Alfama in Lisbon is the Castle of St. George, which is another outstanding attraction. It's a ruin, but the walls, the entrances, the gates, the staircases are all spectacular and the view is astonishing. It really makes it worth your while to come up and visit the castle. It just keeps coming back to Portugal, for me. Something about that country is magnetic. First it started with these interesting religioius apparitions, then an obsession with google street view,.. just wonderful shops, storefronts and roadsides, then the most amazing churches I have ever seen.., then homemade videos of the port district, and now this.. Due to a combination of health concerns, lack of income, and travel restrictions, (or at any rate, inconveniences), I am pretty much dependant on tourism of the vicarious sort.. so good photojournalism is a plus.. THX!

it was boring inside.. i like the simple square nature but make no mistake it is boring..
